Good customer service and they miss place my vega pie order and then dealt with swiftly , however food presentation 5/10 for starters, the main dish you are allowed to customise it by your imagination lol taste 8/10 value for money 8/10 . I found some level of service lacking they can do better , strongly recommend to try this pub out

The food was excellent and we were given a good serving of meat and good selection of fresh vegetables. The staff were friendly and the service quick. A nice Toby Carvery for a family lunch and excellent value with the 50% discount.

What a little gem. Loved my two nights stay. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the staff helpful and friendly. Always served with a smile. The food , breakfast which was a buffet ,dinner which was a carvery was always hot and plentiful . Checkout was 12 noon, plenty of time to let your breakfast go down and checkout. Brilliant. Thank you so much.

Honestly, nothing was great. Having booked, our table wasn't ready for 15 minutes. Then we had to wait in a queue for the carvery over 40 minutes longer in tight, cramped conditions. During this time, the servers paused to clean the trays for 5 minutes in the middle of our party meaning 3 had been served and two had to wait. Surely it would be better to ask who was together? It seemed pointless having a booking system when we didn't get to eat until being in the restaurant for nearly an hour. Also, waiting to be served while people filled takeaway boxes. Not the standard you expect at a restaurant. And then there was the overall standard of the place. We were seated near the door, two metres away where delivery drivers (as many as 8 at one point) waited to pick up orders. As for cleanliness, one table by us was left uncleared for 30 minutes with used plates and glasses. Also, the table at the delivery pick up point (two metres away) was cluttered with dirty crockery for an hour. There was also food waste and dirty cutlery on the floor underneath our table from previous customers. I asked for this to be cleaned to which the waitress wiped the waste into the carpet with a serviette but left the two dirty forks on the floor. The Yorkshire Puddings were hard and overcooked, carrots and peas cold, and the turkey on my plate was dry. Not the standard I expect from a Toby and it was more like being in a Greasy Spoon or worse, a school cafeteria after a food fight. I have photos taken to highlight the poor standards during our experience.

We have no complaints and are always happy with the service as well as the food so it has become a weekly visit for us now. My only minor suggestion like to see more variety of vegetables if possible. We have been going every Sunday for over a months and yesterday for the first time there was creamed spinach and Brussels sprouts which was lovely. I have had red cabbage in other branches before which was tasty too. But other than that I can’t think of what else to suggest, its always been wonderful. Thank you

This is the best Toby Carvery I have experienced. Booked the same day and they had lots of availability however we did have to wait a while for our booking. The carvery itself was great, they had 4 different meats available (Gammon, Turkey, Beef and Lamb), a good variety of sides and veg, the gravy did need a good topping up though. The food itself was delicious and the server we were assigned was very attentive and answered our questions without difficulty. Would definitely come back for a Sunday lunch.

The service given was excellent by all staff but especially by our waitress Jodie. We were impressed by her professionalism and customer service as well as her friendly and cheerful manner. She was also polite and courteous which helped make our experience of eating out an enjoyable one. Thank you Jodie for the service you provided and responding to us in a positive way!

I can't rate the rooms as I haven't stayed here. Came for a Carvery today (Sunday). The staff are pleasant enough, and food is not too bad on the whole. The guy slicing the meat was well trained with the thinness of the slice. When the lady behind me asked politely for more turkey. "That's a serving size " was the curt reply. She had to ask again and did eventually get some extra. Vegetable selection was not great, no sprouts, no parsnips, but they had sweetcorn? Sweetcorn for a Sunday roast? Was the 1st visit today, may not be the last, but won't hurry back.

Will rate 5 star for excellent customer service. But one star for food. No wonder Toby gave us 50% discount.....they gave us the thinnest "paper" slice of meat the knife could cut. If you want a thicker slice just don't visit this week...go on a week when there's no discount.

Served by Angela. Very kind and gentle and patient person. The best Toby I have ever visited for 5 star 1st class service. Had overs 60s £5 meal and she was ever so very helpful and patient. Treated over 60s like royalty. Will definitely come back with more friends.

Carvery is always good here... As always super busy on a Sunday. If you book, you're still waiting an extra 20-40minutes for a table. All in all foods good, drinks good. As long as you don't mind the wait.

Only came for Sunday carvery as it looks lively ftom outside, sadly for the size of restaurant the serving deck is tiny. Very small selection of vegetables on offer, including sweetcorn, all of which were either over or undercooked, awful yorkies that were rubbery and tasted stale, and the amount of meat per serving was pathetic, the lady behind us complained to the guy carving the meat and got an impolite response. Have been to much better Toby Carvery restaurants than this. Won't come back or recommend it to anyone. Extremely disappointing.

  • 4/5 Roy H. 4 months ago on Google
Good as expected, however still a bit stingy on the meat allowance. Now I know it's not the carvers that dictate , it's the accountants . So maybe the "king size " could reflect in a larger meat allowance. Then it will be a perfect score

Food value for money food pretty good. I'm not a fan of carvery but it was a family event. But it's was good. Staff nice. My aunt stayed there she said it was great.

We were part of a group of 26 people, celebrating the festive season. Our meals were pre-booked, the starters and desserts were served quickly and we helped ourselves to the carvery. I can't fault the food or the service, very impressed. The staff here are slways pleasant and friendly, they looked after us very well. This isn't the first time we have used this restaurant and it won't be the last.

Attended on time and even though we booked the table was not ready so waited at the bar. When ordering food for the Carvery, the waitress was great but what let this down more so to a 2 star was the food under tables and on seats and the floor left by previous customers was not cleaned up, the carvery meats were very bland and dry and the vegetables etc looked like they had been left under the heat light as they too were also dry. Puddings for the kids we were told the ice cream machine was down yet other people's orders had ice cream included so they gave us a a mixture of what they had left. Overall not a great experience as well as our waitress being great the others were all walking around swearing at each other for not doing stuff or having to do stuff which was very unprofessional esp when kids were present

The waitress was excellent, she went out of her way to make our experience enjoyable. The food was very good. My brother is vegan and his food was very good and the waitress gave him a list of food that wasn't suitable, he was a little put out by a comment from the person cutting the meat, my niece wanted a Yorkshire pudding but was too shy to ask so my brother asked for one, the chef made a comment that he wasn't really vegan if he had Yorkshire pudding. He felt this was a little insulting.

Had a group meal here. Had to wait quite a while to sort us out. Carvery was ok but one lady had two meats then asked for. Slice of a third and promptly took a slice back off her plate to put a slither of the third meat on. We didn't think that was appropriate. The veg all ok except cauliflower was a bit tough on thick stalk so undercooked. The condiment area was very messy ( people's doing) and needed replenishment so no cranberry and little of others. Staff were friendly and tried to help and check ok but they were very busy. Would I use this venue again sorry no.

We had a group booking (12) planning to use the advertised Mon-Fri Set Menu, 2 courses for £11.49. The food was ok, nothing special, but edible. However, when we received the bill we were charged a standard amount and told that offer was not valid, despite there being nothing in the T&Cs that excluded it. So we had to pay the higher amount, about £30 more. We complained at the time, to no effect. I then made a formal complaint, receiving a "standard reply" with follow up emails being ignored. This has certainly "burnt" our custom with Toby Carvery Quinton and won't return, with our next get together planned at Beefeater. So if you're planning to go to Toby Carvery Quinton, I'd suggest ensuring that you know what they will and won't accept, before visiting.

Absolutely amazing!! I had an amazing experience at Toby Carvery. The food was delicious and the service was top-notch. Jonathan and Ellie at the bar were so friendly and attentive. They made my visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend checking out Toby Carvery and saying hi to Jonathan and Ellie! 🍽️🍻

It was ok a member of staff was quite abrupt when answering a question. Food was good plenty of it and hot. Staff could have been there more to serve which would have cut down on the wait and also no tickets given for which plate was paid for. Must lose money

Popped in to the Quinton branch for a change and was greeted by Jordan. He was so friendly and helpful. Reminded us about parking validation and got us a lovely booth. Great service from the beginning till the end. We will definitely be back! Thank you Jordan!

We were over recently from Melbourne, Australia and came here to the carvery in Birmingham for a couple of meals. The food was delicious and freshly cooked. The atmosphere was amazing too and very cosy - exactly how you would expect a traditional English pub to be. Most of all though the service was impeccable. We were served by a waitress Danielle who was exceptional. She was warm, kind and knowledgeable and made us feel right at home. Thank you Toby Carvery and most of all, Danielle.

Shame you can’t leave 0 stars. Turned up at 8:20pm, was left stood at the front desk despite being seen by multiple staff (they were just chilling), someone finally came over and said sorry it’s bookings only…interesting when it was super empty. Seems like staff just lazy. Probably did us a favour as the floor was covered in mashed food and the carvery sides had food all over it.

Home of the Carvery. Though on my visit here I took part in the breakfast. It serves a great value breakfast at £5,49 which is eat as much as you like. This includes items such as good sausages, mushrooms, bacon, hash browns plum tomatoes;baked beans toast as well as a few other items. You can buy unlimited tea/filter coffee for £2.49 This makes this the beat place around for a quality breakfast. There are plenty of seating as well as a good choice of drinks at the bar. However, in the winter it can get a bit chilly sitting in certain places of the pub. Staff are friendly. Well.worth a visit if you want a great value as well as a quality breakfast. Of course the pub also does a Carvery. Which is also great value in midweek.

Breakfast - booked for 10.20am. Overcooked sausage, egg and mushroom. No fresh coffee, sachets of instant to replace. To be fair was asked if I wanted a coffee from the machine behind the bar. Fair play to the waitress she did try to help. Think a Sunday after 10am is concentrated on getting lunch ready! Really disappointed, was looking forward to a nice breakfast - asking for a full refund - quality was very poor.

Was sent a voucher for a £5 carvery at Toby so took advantage of it today at the Toby at Quinton. You know what you are getting at a Toby carvery,so this one was very good with the added bonus of having cracking provided on the counter,so I would recommend this venue. The food was lovely with all the meat being tender and the accompanying veggies, potatoes and all the trimmings being cooked to a high standard. Had a medium orange juice and lemonade to drink and I think the total cost was just over £8. A very popular venue as there were a lot of people eating, so advisable to book like me. All in all, very good experience and I would not hesitate to recommend going to this Toby.

It’s been a long time since have been for a Toby car very, the meat was lovely and was plentiful. Roast potatoes were ok, the only thing that let it down was the carrots and cauliflower cheese. I think more attention to quality would lift my score up to a 10. Staff were very good and efficient

Lovely welcoming atmosphere. The staff are gracious, and informative which is great. It is nice and clean and the staff are very efficient in tidying and cleaning tables in a timely manner. They pass back to you to check all is ok. The food service area is clean and efficient in serving the meat and keeping the area as tidy as possible. Overall it was a lovely experience and we left a small tip.

I've been using this hotel restaurant lots in the past and first time back in years. The food sadly wasn't as good as previously visited but the customer service is still brilliant and rooms are still clean and practical. Lovely location and not far from attractions and city centre.

  • 2/5 Anne E. 1 year ago on Google
Despite booking a table over 24hrs before, when we arrived they were obviously over booked, we were directed to the bar and had to wait 15 min before we were called to be seated. The queue for the carvery was long and for two members of our group this was uncomfortable due to disability. Having said that the staff, who we know now quite well as we do go regularly were very pleasant and the food of good quality and portion size.

I had a wonderful birthday celebration meal. Food was cooked to perfection, nice and hot, and lots of different veg. Our waitress was very good and on point.

Lovely room and lovely staff. Had an issue which was outside of Toby's control but the manager was extremely helpful and provided awesome customer relations. Would highly recommend

Had a pleasant breakfast. Nice food alth can have been a few more options. Friendly staff and atmosphere. The self service and unlimited option breakfast is good and paying before you eat very convenient as saves you hanging around to pay at the end. Will definitely visit again. (Changed booking from Harvester after seeing the 2 star hygiene report!. Very glad we did).

We went Christmas Eve and surprisingly it was the best meal I've ever had at a Toby carvery! The queue for the carvery was shortest I've ever seen. All the food was fresh and in good supply. However, staff were extremely slow to greet & seat us, even though it was quiet, to the point we were thinking of leaving. Also the kids meal (simple chicken nuggets) took a ridiculously long time to arrive, even after several reminders.

  • 4/5 mark f. 10 months ago on Google
Went for buffet breakfast, we got there just before breakfast was almost finished. Slot of the food was probably under the heat lamps for a while as the bacon was tough, the rest was nice and I can't explain the thrill I had using the conveyor toaster. The staff were nice and the place was clean and lovely.

  • 5/5 Amalia W. 1 year ago on Google
Had an absolutely cracking time. The food carved in front of you and the staff with a smile on their face. Of course Sunday was busy with families but we didn't mind, we got a quiet corner. Lovely service and so well handled regardless of the busy vibe. Can't wait to go back. Super affordable!
