Overall, I am disappointed with the results from my highlights on my appointment 12/1. I came in for a highlight retouch and showed my stylist Rachel photos icy blonde highlights and she said that would be fine. I emphasized multiple times how I like my hair very ashy and cool toned because my face has a lot pink tones. My final result was very yellow, golden highlights. I hoped that the color would be better in different light but it wasn’t. My hair also feels very dry and damaged. My results are usually very attainable but I recently moved to the area and figured I would give Salon Medusa a try. My stylist was very sweet and took her time hence the 2 star review, but the overall result was disappointing for the price of $140.

I had my hair dyed professionally for the first time, a balayage, and Sarah did a fantastic job. She was so helpful with explaining the process and taking the ideas I brought and making them work for my hair. She took the time to show me how to style it myself which I really appreciate. I'd definitely recommend seeing her, and plan to return. The entire staff seemed very friendly, too, and the atmosphere was very welcoming.

I really like Sarah! I have curly hair and after four pretty disappointing haircuts at other places since being in Milwaukee, I bought the Groupon to try someplace new. Now I will be a regular because Sarah actually knows how to cut curly hair (so hard to find) and she's personable in the chair without forcing conversation which is pretty important for me as a shy person. Definitely recommend Sarah 👌

The stylist did an amazing job on my 9 year olds hair. The only downside is they don't have tipping with a card.

Love love love Sarah she is amazing she takes her time to know exactly what you want and talks you through the whole process. She also is very knowledgeable and very educated!! She is definitely my forever stylist she has done my hair 2 times now and I have taken both the teen daughters to her and all of us love are hair!! Thank you so much Sarah u rock!!

This was my first visit and I was immediately impressed. The front desk staff was helpful. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. David was my stylist. I had SO many compliments on my cut and color after my appointment. He was also knowledgeable and helpful (not pushy) with styling and product suggestions. I will be a regular at Salon Medusa. Be prepared with cash for tipping.

I've been there twice and loved my experience both times! My manicure lasted two weeks which was amazing and my haircut and color were great, stylist was friendly, my hair seems to be in better condition from the aveda dye, the head massage was amazing which is always a nice bonus. Can't remember who did my nails but Rachel did my hair. I'll definitely go back.

Disappointed and unhappy.. Ugh!! The stylist seemed enthusiastic to help me achieve a refreshed look, however the communication was NOT there...at all. I left with my hair 2 inches shorter than I wanted it, an unfinished cut, and no styling 😳... Does Asymmetrical someway sound like A-line? Was she even listening?? I think the stylist knew she was messing up, her hand started to shake 😬 I left as soon as I could... totally distressed. POSITIVE ENDING - as soon as I left Medusa I found another Salon that was available to take me in for a last minute appointment -- TONY & FRIENDS Salon and Spa Awesome!! Hair salvaged!! Yay. One Star is for the somewhat pleasant greeting upon entry. Distracted with talking amongst themselves, but at least pleasant. The salon itself was aesthetically pleasing.

Very nice spa/salon. I had Celia for a Brazilian. She did a great job. And just as important she does an amazing job at making you feel comfortable during something that has the potential to be embarrassing. Very personable, skilled and kind.

Went last week to get a balayage. The stylist was very kind, but my hair did not turn out to be the color I showed her by picture in our consultation. I thought I might be able to make it work, so I went home and when I started to look at it closer in the mirror, I noticed all kinds of things were just not right. The transitions were hard/blunt lines, the colors weren't blended at all. There are chunks of hair that are half super dark and the other half super brassy. I emailed the owner. Sent him pictures of my results, and he didn't even bother to respond. I reached out to another Aveda Salon owner who is a parent of one of my students at the school I work, and she was "horrified" at the pictures I sent her. She asks every day if I have heard back from the owner, and her mind is blown that they are not trying to make it right when I spent over $220 (+ tip) for services. My previous salon closed, and I was excited to try a new salon right in my neighborhood that I could start coming to consistently. Unfortunately, I'm still looking.

Love my hair cut, the stylist did an amazing job listening to exactly what I wanted and it turned out better then I ever imagined. Definitely will be going back. Also got my eyebrows done. She was so pleasant and made sure I was happy with the shape and thickness before sending me on my way.
