Awesome trail! About 3.3mi one-way to Brezina Woods with couple pedestrian road-crossings. Family friendly and about 50% shady, good for summer and evenings. Also good for deer sightings especially for kids (go when weather is cooler with less heat).

Went for a bike ride on the trail from here to Westchester and it kept going. I saw a family of deer crossing the path just before Lagrange 😁 nature had been calling for a long time and I finally got out there. This is a good place to start for anyone considering a walk, run or bike ride. Plenty of people on the path but not contested. I’ll be back!

Small gathering space on the other side of Brookfield Zoo. Kept up really well by the Forest Preserves of Cook County. Thank you!!

Beautiful and well kept grounds! Markings were good in some areas but not very clear where to go in others. Very enjoyable run on pavement through the beautiful woods!!

My go-to trail for a bike ride. Paved trail with recently added signs posting a speed limit of 15 mph. there are also two spots along the way where you can pump the tires or stop for an emergency maintenance. The trail is very picturesque year round, from early spring to the late fall with ever-changing foliage, and occasional wild life( deers, squirrels, chipmunks) crossing the trail. I rarely use the trail in the winter, but I'm sure it is a great one for the cross-country skiing.

This is a great place to walk, run, or bike. Our whole family uses the path often. It is beautiful and peaceful in every season and makes you feel like you are far away from a city. We have seen deer, blue jays, woodpeckers, tadpoles and many more animals. It has been great to expose my toddlers to the bauty of nature.

Have only been through by water but looks like a beautiful park, salt creek runs through it with lots of river birds

Beautiful path for walking or exercising. Can get busy but is usually not too crowded early in the morning.

Great place for running, biking or walk, it's quiet and it goes next to the river, you also get a chance yo see lots on nature and deer 🦌 along the way, there's always parking and people exercising.

Great place to walk around and it's not usually super crowded. Great for little kids that need to get some energy out! Paths were not totally clear so a little icy today, but as long as your prepared for that, it's no big deal. Plus snow will be gone shortly anyway! Or at least I can dream it will be!

Nice place close to home for bikes, jogging and walking. Deer and a variety of birds can be viewed. I spotted a Gold Crowned Kinglet female with her mate a few feet away. They are only 3 inches and are found in tickets and pines. Being migratory, they're only here for a few weeks. Also visible are the migrating Sandhill Cranes. The best way to see the variety of fauna is by foot, so leave the bike at home once and see how many birds and mammals you can identify.
