Unfriendly staff who don't know what they're doing. The girls working today were ignoring customers and taking an extremely long time to get drinks out, I had to wait 10 minutes to even get my order taken and a further 15 minutes for two coffees. It's such a shame that a cute cafe has such terrible service and average coffee.

It’s a small little out of the way cafe you wouldn’t be likely to find if you didn’t already know about it. But you walk in and already know you’re in the right place with that perfect combination of baked goods and good drinks. A strong chai latte comes in a fantastically sized cup. And they provide enough compassion and thought to talk to everyone unsure of what to get and steer them in the right direction. It’s a place where people can talk about their dogs and get asked if they can be pet. That’s a great place.

There must’ve been some miscommunication because my “extra hot“ latte came out as “extra tepid,” but after waiting almost 15 minutes for it, I just threw in the towel and left. As an aside, the menu board shows $.75 for alt milks; however, when you get your receipt, it will show a dollar. You can tell they are understaffed and the workers are as friendly as they can be given the circumstances. I think I’ll stick with Tatte around the corner.

Beautiful, lovely cafe with great drinks and kind staff. Internet access for remote workers! The only comment I have is about sustainability; it seems like they do not have options for people to order their drinks in mugs or glasses (I ordered an iced chai and asked for a glass but they said they were only offering plastic.) They do accept your own mug but there’s no alternative if you don’t bring one. Additionally it looked like they don’t offer recycling for the plastic cups; I only saw a trash can. Would recommend considering offering mugs or glasses and recycling for any plastic you do generate. Important to note that this location is *not* wheelchair accessible (big ledge to the front entrance.) Thanks! ☕️

Cute cozy cafe. V young staff. Cons: Unfortunately very slow service. Staff is seems always a step behind. Interested in conversation over promptness. Tiny seating capacity. Inflation is doing a number on menu prices. Question: New ownership? Who owns this cafe?? I think it was sold recently.

Snugged up on a cozy side street this tiny little hole in the wall will not only surprise you with its inner size and charm but with its speed of service. The hustle and bustling energy of this place even in the middle of the week is palpable and despite its busyness somehow my coffee drink got to me as quickly as it was ordered; NOT an easy feat. Whether you’re here for a quick meet with a friend, some midday work, or a coffee on the go, this is definitely the place you want to stop at when in Brookline.

This cafe is my favorite place. Even so, I can attest that the chai is consistently delicious! Also a huge fan of the pear almond scones and seasonal soups. Woman-owned by a tremendously lovely and intelligent young lady, every detail is looked into. Employees are fabulous people, good at their jobs and there’s strong teamwork happening. Beautiful, magical little gem of a spot.

Just got a quick coffee waiting for the train right next to this place. Been wanting to try it. I enjoyed it. So I will most likely be back with the train there so close by. Very good placement for a quick coffee and pastry or something.

The Daniel’s turkey sandwich, cappuccino, and the double chocolate cookie were all very delicious but I wish the sandwiches were a bit larger. The cafe vibe is really great. However, I wish they still could hold on to having “kookoo sabzi” plate in their menu as me and a bunch of my friends really loved it. The seating space was comfortable. Besides the lovely indoor dining space, this cafe offers outdoor sitting too. It is next to Brookline Village D MBTA stop so very convenient location.

Cosy coffee shop with affordable and high quality pastries. Best blueberry and lemon scones, fresh baguette, tasty coffee. The staff is always smiling and kind. I will never stop coming by!

Ask them to make you a ham and cheese croissant!!! This morning, I went into Brothers & Sisters looking for a savory breakfast option. The girl at the cashier noted that I didn't want one of their breakfast sandwich options, and said they could make me a ham and cheese croissant. This was the best ham and cheese croissant I have ever had. 1. First of all, the service was quick. 2. Secondly, they warmed up the croissant to melt the cheese inside, which was amazing. 3. Third, the ham and cheese were evenly spread throughout the croissant, which might sound silly to mention, but I swear that every time I get a ham and cheese croissant, the ham is tucked away in some little corner of the croissant. Not this time. 4. Lastly, it wasn't messy. One of the reasons I didn't want a breakfast sandwich was because I hate being on the go with a sandwich that has too much going on and inevitably stains my work clothes before I even begin the day. This is such a simple breakfast option but so so delicious and I have definitely tried lots of ham and cheese croissants around the neighborhood. This one hit different, and made me so happy that I felt like I had to tell people about it. Kudos to whoever made me a ham and cheese croissant at 8:50AM on Wednesday, August 30th - it was the best I've ever had and truly made me respect this cafe beyond its cute aesthetics.

Gourmet summer treat: hand dipped sorbet and ice cream bars. Vegan options, you choose sorbet or ice cream from four flavors and then you can watch while they hand dip a thick coating of either their house milk or dark chocolate. The absolute perfect indulgence for a hot summer day! Be sure to also read the touching backstory hanging on the wall of this lovely locally owned business.

I've stopped in here a few times, and everything's great, but seating is limited and each time all the spots were taken by people working on laptops who no longer even had the coffee they were nursing. It's like that when you order, and if you try waiting, 20 minutes later no one's moved. It's awfully nice that they don't limit people's time, but with such a small place it seems they need to do something...

The pastries were amazing. I got an almond croissant and it was delicious! The mocha was really good with more chocolate than espresso flavor. The chai latte was pretty good but could have used more flavor. Not a lot of space to sit (maybe 4 tables?) but they had a steady line of people getting things to go the entire time we were sitting there.

The drinks are wonderful, but I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was! I got a TooGoodToGo bag from here filled with some sweet treats, and I was blown away. Since then, I come regularly to pick up a little snack and a mocha. The baristas are all very friendly, and the cafe itself is very cute.

Coffee here is amazing, especially the French toast latte. However, the employees choose to ignore your presence when you walk in, and stay seated until you ask them to order. I’ve tried this cafe out twice, in hopes that my second visit would clear everything up. I’ve purchased the tomato mozzarella sandwich both times, one in store order and one online. Both of these times, I’ve opened the sandwich to one slice of a tomato cut in half and one piece of mozzarella. It’s quite pricey and not worth the money in my opinion. You’re basically paying for a piece of sourdough with very limited ingredients on it. If the service was a bit better, or if they were at least friendly and showed a smile it would be at least 4 stars.

Great baristas, good coffee, unfortunately got multiple bakery items that were not fully baked, with raw dough inside. When I shared that with that shop employees, it was brushed of with no apology or reimbursement. The wait can sometimes be up to 15-20 minutes.

I adore this place. I’m obsessed with their lattes and scones!! All of the baked goods and delicious. Currently loving the autumn flavor lattes — the salted caramel is my favorite!

Very good. I got Daniels panini with an iced coffee. The ingredients are super fresh like the bread, avocado, turkey and tomato. It was $15 with the tax and I was skeptical at first but I'll say it was worth because the sandwich was really good and so was the coffee.

The cutest area with the best coffee around. It was within walking distance from my hotel.

Avocado toast is to die for. Especially the spicy chili one! Their coffee and homemade syrups are great too. It is a bit small but the staff are so kind and helpful, and they have a few nice outdoor seats on the sidewalk. I absolutely recommend stopping by here or lingering for a while.

Good latte but the pastries are a mixed bag. Highly recommend the scones and muffins, still warm when we bought them, but the pecan rolls and croissant were stale. Cute window operated ordering booth

Not sure what’s going on with this coffee shop, I used to love stopping here but things seem to have taken a turn for the worse. It took 30 minutes to get a sandwich today and I am not exaggerating because I missed not one but two buses waiting for my order. I saw other patrons come in and wait quite a while for drinks and sandwiches only to have some drinks forgotten or taken. I’d be willing to try this place again once steps have been taken to address what seems to be a trend the past few months.

The coffee is very good and the staff are friendly. But it is clearly chaos behind the counter and in BOH in the mornings. I think the staff are doing their best, but the management need to do some more training around workflow. I’ve got 10 years of busy coffee shop experience so I absolutely get that turnover is real and that hospitality is a difficult industry to work in. But you have to train your staff not just on how to make coffee, but how to make it *efficiently*. A good workflow will also do wonders to keep staff stress levels down! But I’ve gone here three times recently and the speed of service is painfully slow considering how many people they have on. Today I waited 35 mins for a bagel with cream cheese. There were THREE people in the kitchen. Three! I think what really pushed me to leave this review was the fact that I saw several orders placed after mine come out before my order. Again, I think the staff are lovely people and I think with the right training will be great in their roles, they just need management to give them the tools.

This review is mainly for the online pickup-I still really like to come to this cafe for small bites or coffee. However, I've been disappointed with some of my experiences ordering food here (particularly online pickup). First time, I ordered online and couldn't find my order in store. I waited for ~20mins so I asked the guy in the front. He checked and just said oh we forgot the order and then called it in. No apologies or anything. Second time, I went in at the time that it says my order will be ready online. Same guy, checked and said u ordered a couple minutes ago so it won't be ready for like 10 minutes. I actually ordered 20mins ago, so I don't know how he thinks I ordered a few minutes ago. He then proceeded to tell the back kitchen to make it. I don't know if there's a delay in the system for online orders or what, but I'm not impressed by these experiences. He was also looking at his phone and couldn't attain to customers promptly due to that distraction. I value this local business and hope this issue can be addressed!
