The outside amenities are great! The front has a lovely area to eat and hang out. The back has a nice balcony to eat as well. The full kitchen is great to use - they have everything you could need to cook. Overall the house is lovely and has a great ambiance. The rooms, however, are quite small and uninviting. We stayed on the third floor where there was barely room for the bed alone. The bed looked like it had not been changed in the last 10 years with a visible dip in the center of the bed. It was uncomfortable and the two pillows were also not ideal. The bathroom was terribly small - you couldn’t sit without your knees hitting the wall. The towels were not clean, there was hair in it. Overall, the amenities and the house are amazing - bonus points for included parking! But the room was just not worth the stay.

This is a very nice place to stay. We stayed 2 nights here before attending a concert at Fenway. The room was very clean and it’s exactly what we needed for a short stay. There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance too!

We enjoyed our recent stay here. It was great to have free parking and the staff were friendly. The room was clean and it was nice to have a kitchen to make drinks. My only problem was the size of the bed, we booked a double but it seemed a bit small for two. Other than that great valve for Boston.

Great place, they have a kitchen and really easy entrance, relatively good price but it's a little far out from where you'd wanna be in boston.

When you're one of 2 gigs near the hospital, it is what it is. I had a fight with the window treatments. The cleaning person left my room temp at 90 degrees and I had to open a window to breathe. The atmosphere is tired. But there is parking, a full kitchen, and it's walking distance to my hospital. Enough said.

Really more like 3.5 stars. It's OK. The bed was comfy, and the WiFi was excellent. Couldn't really hear other guests which was nice. However, the room was quite warm (3rd floor). They had no fans. One staff person told me they'd have someone put the AC window unit back in the next day. The next day when that hadn't happened I was told they don't have maintenance so that couldn't happen. Suggested I try opening the windows (duh!). Most of the front office staff weren't all that friendly either. I get it's not an easy job, but at least pretend you're happy to see the guests rather make it feel like I'm bothering you merely by arriving to check in. Kitchen was nice. Refrigerator was usually full of people's things so it was difficult to find space in the fridge and the freezer. No glasses or cups in the room which I thought was odd. Location is VERY convenient. Close to various T stations, Trader Joe's, restaurants, etc.

Only stayed one night, but was not disappointed and really had no issues to speak of. Staff at the front were helpful and welcoming. On site parking, which is included, was a huge plus. Amenities seemed decent. The rooms were clean and tidy, maybe could use a bit of updating, but definitely functional. Bathroom was a good size and was just fine. Prices are very reasonable for the area. Walking distance to a ton of restaurants and venues.

The room I stayed in was tiny but quaint. Comfy for a couple/solo traveler. Location is perfect, walking distance to bars, restaurants and the subway.

What a perfect spot. Affordable. Very clean. Perfectly kept up old inn. Staff were fantastic. Nice rooms. Help yourself type of kitchen to use. Very inviting. I’m definitely going to stay here again the first chance I get.

I stayed in the apartment which had its own kitchen and was very spacious. The Inn is located in a nice area and I was able to walk to the venue I was attending for a concert at night with no issue.

Lovely place to stay. Lovely staff, nice parking, nice rooms with a communal kitchen and living room, laundry facilities and a beautiful deck to eat on in the back. Close to Brookline and the T. Highly recommend

It was good, very quiet and you feel like you are staying in a house. Theres a by all used living room and a fully equipped kitchen which you can use intermittently freely I felt like home rather than staying in an inn or a hotel which was a very nice touch

I return here for the Marathon every year. Comfortable if basic rooms. Free parking. Short walk to the Longwood T stop. Kitchen so I can make my own breakfast and a comfortable lounge. Very reasonable- for-Boston rates.

I wouldn't recommend this B&B. I was mislead on the price for the rooms and was surprised I was charged again - for the second half of the payment. What I got? well I got a super small room, I never saw any service person or person at the desk, I got uncomfortable, lumpy bed, a loud stand-alone air conditioner, got exercise because I had to climb 3 flights of stairs to get to my room and to top it off, the room had a musky smell. All this can be yours for a $200+ a night! Save your money and go with an old-fashioned hotel where you at least get free breakfast and a way more comfortable bed. I do regret taking pictures so I can share the quality you are getting for such a price.

A comfy low key place to stay in town. No plastic, no pretension. Perhaps comparable to en English country hotel? Free parking to boot.

This place is an excellent stay, be prepared to share a kitchen with others. Neat clean rooms close to shopping and transportation options. 3rd time staying here and this is why. It’s beautiful, quiet enough, great people working here.

So to explain the rating is for the room we stayed in I have no idea what the other rooms are like. The house is beautiful Victorian home that has been segmented into guest rooms. The whole place smells like old stale linen. The room we were in #39 was on the top floor and was pretty small and smelled musty. The AC /Heating unit droned on and was unresponsive to the control unit on the wall and served more as a white noise generator than an actial HVAC unit (I eventually unpluged it) The room had a spacious bathroom and was clean. But otherwise it was pretty terrible. The bed was so worn down it gave me a back ache. The bed is so close to the dresser that you couldn't open the drawrs all the way and on that same side of the bed is right next to the doorway and so close that it almost hit the bed when you open the door. The little seating area was just as bad with shoddy chairs and a woobly table. The TV, was in fact working. We did a late night check in 7pm and a Sunday check out and didn't see our hosts the entire weekend we were there. The website has the rooms starting at $130 per night but charges $205 per night (without tax) and the invocing was confusing. I do not recommend this place at all. Go find a regular hotel room for better service and accomidations at a more reasonable price.

Stayed here for one night before my procedure at Brigham. We stayed in room 39 on the 3rd floor. Quaint room with a very comfy queen bed. In-room bath was really nice. We stayed on a Friday and it was quite. Nice community kitchen and livingroom. Room and Inn are very clean and well maintained. Strong free wifi and free off street parking. No elevator but the steps are not steep. Not much in the way of toiletries but we always bring our own. Would definitely stay here again.

The Longwood Inn was exactly what we hoped it would be- charming, exceedingly helpful and communicative staff, and great location- less than 10 minute walk to the T and a bunch of great restaurants in Brookline. I really appreciated how the automatically added towels once they saw there were three of us vs just two. Our room was warm- and quiet, despite facing the street. I really appreciated how homey the kitchen and living/ main rooms felt. Will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Boston!
