nice and quiet place... friendly and prompt service... good for coffee and pastries (no sandwiches or the like)... a couple of small tables to sit outside... plays soothing guitar music in the background... conveniently located next to the green line, in a local small business area (if you find cafe nero, then you must cross the street to get here)

Drinks were acceptable but Ill cut to the chase. My girlfriend simply asked if we could get flavor shots in our drinks and the owner was unable to respond without having a tone and an elitist attitude. Would not go here under any circumstances unless you prefer to be disrespected while overpaying for your coffee.

If you guys hate credit cards so much simply become an all cash business and don’t shame your customers. No one wants to debate credit cards at 9am on a Saturday morning when all your customer is trying to do is tell you people drink a ton of coffee in ma compared to every other state.

Cafe Fixe serves exquisite espresso and the most delicious cappuccino I've ever had. My advice: order the cappuccino. Just say "small cappuccino." No modifications, no fancy extras. It's perfect as is. The phenomenal cappuccino in the bright, relaxing, jazzy environment makes me miss Cafe Fixe on a weekly basis. Enjoy your coffee in the shop if you have time. I went to college in Boston and make it a habit to get the cappuccino from Cafe Fixe every time I'm back.

Outstanding coffee place! The focus here is on light and medium roast coffees. They have a house blend and a guest coffee on rotation. You can also buy Barrington Coffee here which I really like. Lastly the pastries are amazing! I really enjoy trying the espresso on rotation when I'm there stocking up on beans.

7:30 am, I go inside to buy a croissant TO GO, as I do often. As I’m in the line, Barista turns to me and say “it’s probably best to keep that thing outside. It’s a pretty small space here.” That thing was my stroller, with my two-year-old and my six-year-old. Lost a client.

Small, clean cafe in the heart of Washington Square. High quality coffee with a selection of tasty pastries. Had a lemon scone and something called a Dolly bar, both good sized and delicious. Service was good and prices were reasonable. Not a lot of seating but interior was modern and tastefully appointed. If you go by car you can park behind it through the parking lot entrance around the corner on Washington street

Truly a great espresso and perfect third wave experience. We visited from Montreal and found myself at home in this café. We went twice!

This cafe is cute and the drinks are super high quality. The cafe employees are polite and friendly, the bathroom is clean and well-kept, the drinks are tasty and made quickly, the atmosphere was good with tasteful music choices and I was able to study without distraction... Honestly, no complaints whatsoever! I'll absolutely be back again.

Decided to give this place another chance and same “not good” experience. Good coffee, but music was awful, had to leave. Btw, if you ask for a large cappuccino, and ask to pour it into a “to go” large cup, it’s half the size… I only had a small sip… anyway, many more places to go. I’d skip…
