This was such a neat experience! If you have a love for the movie 'A Christmas Story', this is a must see! Would be the perfect holiday trip and you can even stay overnight at the house! It was very interactive, take a photo with the leg lamp, check out the toys under the Christmas tree, bathroom had the soap and decoder pin and the kitchen you could sit in the sink cupboard! The Second house had memorabilia and was more like a museum, then the gift shop had a TON of stuff, it's huge! We had a really great time!

A stand alone experience of Cleveland! The tour guides are so friendly and endearing. Something about this tour is so heartwarming, it makes you feel like a little kid again. If you have the chance to visit it's one of the most spectacular ways to spend $15. You get a tour of the house and a tour of the museum and it really is something you'll keep with you. Have some Christmas any day of the year! 🎅❤️

If you love the movie “The Christmas Story” , this is the place for you! This is the actual house from the Christmas Story where some of the movie was filmed. Located in beautiful Cleveland Ohio, it is a fun place to visit. Go visit the Christmas story shop first to purchase your guided visit/ tour of the house & museum. Tickets for adults were $18 per adult. While you’re waiting for your tour, enjoy the store & I know you will pick up a few trinkets & gifts from your visit. The guided tour is very cool, you are treated to interesting facts & trivia from the filming & history of the house. You are then given time to explore the house & take all the pictures you want. You then are taken to the backyard, again given facts about the filming & history of the yard. You then move across the street to the museum, it has props and artifacts form the movie, the guide will explain the what, when and how about them. You are given ample time to explore and take pictures. This Is absolutely a fun place to visit around the holidays. I strongly recommend that you put this on n your to do list.

If you've ever seen the movie, you need to see this place. The attention to detail is second to none. Parking - There is a parking lot adjacent to the house. However, there are very limited parking spaces. There is plenty free street parking throughout the neighborhood though. Tour - You start in the gift shop by purchasing your timed tickets to walk through the house. I think it was $18/adult. Once inside, the guide explains the history of how the movie came about and where each scene was shot from. You have about ~30min to explore and take pictures. You then go to the back yard to re-live the famous scene where Ralphie shoots his eye out. Museum - The house across the street was turned into a museum that has all the movie props. The guide was very informative and explained everything in there. You can take photos - just no flash photography. Store - They have everything Christmas Story there. If you have a miniature Christmas village at home, they will have everything you can't find online. It was a great way to close-off the Christmas season by re-living the Christmas story. We will be back again next year!!

It was great to be surrounded by so many Christmas movie enthusiasts in September. I would definitely come back with any friends that are Christmasy people. It’s the original house from the movie done up to be a great replica of the sound stage set. Since it’s all replicas, you can play with the props and take lots of photos. You can even rent it out for the night! The museum across the street has authentic props and fun facts. The store in the neighbors house is full of great Christmas movie stuff.

Life long dream come true! Me and my family visited yesterday and it was such a wonderful experience. Bill is absolutely an amazing tour guide. So incredibly knowledgeable and brought life to every story he told about the movie, the actors and the house. 10/10 experience. Thank you Bill for making my wife’s birthday so special and the nice compliment of how well behaved our kids were. Great gift shop too! Mr. Guinness 🎄

I absolutely loved this tour. This has been one of my favorite movies since I can remember. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. She was also funny and understanding of my children being children. Parking was hard to find but it was not very crowded. The gift shop has such a great collection of everything.

Stopped on a road trip with my wife and my son. We have both seen this movie hundreds of times. It was very interesting to go thru the house which was decorated just as it was in the movie. They give plenty of time to view the house and wrap it up with the museum which contains props and costumes from the movie. The gift shop had allot of unique items for purchase. This was not a planned stop for us but definitely glad we did.

This is such a fun experience! We went on Christmas Eve. The staff was friendly and helpful. You can purchase passes in the gift shop. We then toured the house and snapped several iconic photos with props. There was a line to get in, but it moved very quickly. The guy at the door was fun and informative about A Christmas Story. Inside you can go at your own pace. Everyone visting became like family offering to snap a photo and suggesting great poses. You could hear giggles and laughter throughout the house. Next we tour the museum with the actual artifacts from the movie. The gal at the door was equally knowledgeable and shared interesting facts about the film and actors. We then snapped a few more photos outside of the firetruck and then found a few keepsakes in the gift shop. This was a great way to spend Christmas Eve! They are open year round too!

If you’re a huge fan and I mean HUGE fan of A Christmas Story this is a MUST see! Deserves ten stars! When I went, there was snow on the ground making it look so much more authentic, like you were on the movie set. The tour guide let us stay in the house to explore for a little over a half hour because it was January, after the season rush. She said in November and December they limit the time you can spend in the house because the line is down the block. There was only about eight people on our tour and I went with three of them! There’s an awesome gift shop/museum across the street with original props. There is where you purchase tickets. The house is open all year! I believe now you can spend a night in the house! Make a road trip happen to Ohio, The Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame and Pro Football Hall Of Fame can also be seen on the same trip! Enjoy!

If you live the movie it's certainly worth a visit. My only issue is with the tickets. We purchased the day before and advised a time we would like to have our tour and we're told that was fine. However on arrival we were advised that it's a first come first served basis, even though we had tickets, apparently they are not timed. We had a short wait as a coach party had booked in before us, which we had not been advised of. But I would recommend arriving and queuing before the ticket office/shop opens to ensure you get tickets for the time you like that day.

If you like the movie Christmas story then check the house out. Only $18 to walk through a piece of history. Very photo friendly. The staff is very knowledgeable and makes it fun to listen to the stories. There is also a museum and gift shop. You can also spend the night but that's some big money

This was a wonderful time! The tour guides are very knowledgeable and love the movie. I would definitely recommend buying tickets for the tour so that you get the full experience. I wasn’t able to book a tour online ahead of time, so definitely go early and buy tickets for the tour. We ended up going to the last “tour,” which was self-guided and the tour guides were available for questions, and everyone was able to go through the house and the museum. However, we really wish we had gone on the tour with the tour guides. However, that was earlier in the day and we ended up going to the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame instead and then circling back later in the day to A Christmas Story House. Overall, this was an amazing time. The gift shop is definitely very expensive, so I only got the leg lamp Christmas ornament. But, it was really amazing and now I can’t wait for Christmas this year!

I've seen my fair share of unique attractions, but this one truly captures the spirit of the holiday season. The attention to detail from the iconic leg lamp to the authentic decor from the movie is impressive. Nostalgia hits you the moment you step inside, and it's a must-visit for fans of the film. The guided tour was informative and filled with fun facts. I couldn't resist taking numerous photos in front of the famous "fragile" crate and the classic Red Ryder BB gun. The staff were friendly and the gift shop had some fantastic memorabilia. Whether you're a die-hard fan or just looking for a cheerful experience, the Christmas Story House won't disappoint. A heartwarming and joyful stop on my travel journey!

Fun place to visit to see the house from the movie! It has a cool back story to why this location was chosen to film. They have some of the original props on display at their museum. You can even stay the night here if you make a reservation but it can be pricey!

We were in the Cleveland area visiting family for the Holidays and wanted to check out the site of a Christmas classic movie. The tour and museum were fun to see. The tour guide answered many questions and gave further insight to the film's production. You need to purchase tickets in the gift shop or online. However, the online purchase only works if you buy them ahead of time since they are mailed to you versus emailed to you. I would recommend going at a time rather than Christmas to avoid any lines. We went one day and the wait was 3 hours but only 30 minutes the next day.

Fantastic place to visit if you have ever watched the movie growing up. One of the best parts is the phone upstairs with a recording of flicks mom YELLING on the other end. Hilarious. Went during the holiday season so it was packed but didn’t have to wait around too long for a guided tour. There are no unguided tours. However once the tour starts you have free reign to go anywhere in the house and explore on your own.

Great experience for fans of the movie. Tour guide Kevin was entertaining and very knowledgeable and shared tons of trivia and inside information. Lots of fun. The tour takes about 45 minutes to complete. Well worth the modest investment of both time & money.

It was not in my plans to stop by this house while in town, but at the urge of my coworker I decided to add it into the plan. My goodness am I glad I did! The thoughtfulness and details are second to none. The guide was great, and the stories he told were fantastic. Totally worth checking out!

I recently had the opportunity to visit the Christmas Story House in Cleveland, Ohio, and it was a dream come true. This had been on my bucket list for the past seven years, so it felt incredibly fulfilling to finally experience it. The tour allowed me to explore at my own pace, and it was a delightful journey through the scenes from the beloved movie. Our tour guide not only provided insightful information but also took some amazing pictures of me. I was truly impressed by her photography skills and would highly recommend her pursuing a career in that field. As I am currently on a mission to visit all 50 states before turning 50, this visit marked my 29th state. It was a special milestone on my journey, and I couldn't be happier with the memorable experience.

Our tour guide Bill made the visit truly memorable. He explained everything thoroughly, answered any questions folks had, and went above and beyond to ensure the group had an enjoyable experience. His knowledge about the movie and actors was impressive and it was evident that he was passionate about sharing this knowledge. Everyone friendly, a neat souvenir shop, and a unique experience.

Amazing experience! Tickets were reasonably priced and the guides were incredibly helpful and informative. Every detail in the house matched how it looked in the movie. I can tell they put a lot of work into this and did a good job. Gift shop prices weren’t bad either!

Christmas Story is one of my favorite holiday movies. So the house was amust-see when we passed through Cleveland. Was not disappointed. The house, museum and gift shop were wonderful. The guide was very informative and handled the questions from fans about the movie with ease. One of the things that I did not know was that you can stay in the house. Pricey at Christmas time but you could celebrate Christmas in July.

The house tour is nice and it’s definitely nostalgic! Gift shop has some fun things in it as well as things from other Christmas movies. Very disappointed that the museum is not wheelchair accessible (only house is). Not sure why they decided to not make it accessible, very disappointed. There is also a second floor to the house which couldn’t be made accessible and that I understand. Glad I got to see the first floor of the home. Our tour guide made sure to tell me the things she talked about in the museum and my son took pics when he went through. I thought that was EXTREMELY thoughtful of her to do!

Drove out from a Detroit suburb to visit this epic museum. I would like to put a spotlight on our tour guide Bill, he did a fantastic job and really made the tour great. It was amazing sharing the experience with our kids. Would definitely recommend anyone who is a fan of the movie to stop in and check this out.

Nice place to check out if your a fan of the movie, I didn't take the tour as it wasnt scheduled for another 20 minutes after I arrived and I was in town for only a short time. I checked out the exterior of the house and stopped in the gift shop. Very cute place with the type of merch you would expect ( leg lamps, blankets, replica outfits from the movie etc) only real complaint was the prices were pretty high and they didn't match the website prices which was a bummer. Otherwise it's a nice little pit stop if you have the time

My wife wanted to stop and see the house from the movie. It's actually a pretty cool place if your a fan of A Christmas Story. There is a tour of the house that includes a museum across the street. There is also a huge gift shop. It wasn't that busy when we went but it was summertime. They even offer the house for rent to stay over night. Recommend checking it out if you're in the area 💚💯💯

A must see for all fans of a Christmas story. I took my son to see the house and compound in January and he loved every minute of it. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the house and the movie friendly and funny. You start off at the door of the house and get to see all around it other then the area they rent to fans that wish to spend the night before moving on to the garage with fire engine and then the museum itself with memorabilia from the original movie ending at the store where you can purchase the famous major award leg lamp or even the pink bunny pj’s. The only thing I would say as a negative is that the tour is kind of rushed you feel like your being hurried to the next building to allow for the next group to go in rather then being able to take your time looking at everything. That and I think the gift store was rather pricey for what it was other then that it was well worth the drive for any fan with free parking included and a free t shirt if you buy the tickets online.

Tour guide was so fun and informative. "Bee" put her own humor and perspective into the telling of background stories of how the movie was made. The house itself makes you feel like you're in the movie. It's a long enough tour that you get to ask questions and go off to explore the upstairs and outside of the house. they take you across to museum with the clothing and articles from the movie. Well worth the money and this was our second time. A must do activity and worth making a trip for as it's near so many other awesome things in Cleveland too.

Went on the tour, and it was well worth the $18. Fans of A Christmas Story will enjoy the little details you learn from the tour. A big shout out to Bill our tour guide, he was polite and good humored despite the extreme heat when we visited. The indoors of the home, museum, and gift shop are nicely air conditioned and well maintained. The parking is ample and free. You can purchase your tickets from the gift shop cashier, which is why the (well-marked) signs say the tour starts in the gift shop. We didn't have any issue walking in to purchase tickets on a weekday.

Such a fun experience. The house is amazing with prop replicas you can interact and take pictures with. The recreation is very detail oriented. The museum has a lot of the original props which is so cool to see. Friendly staff and nice gift shop. Been here twice and it’s definitely worth the visit.

Really cool stop if you enjoy the movie. The house is well restored to be just like you would expect it from the movie. It is nice that the kids can play with a lot of the things in the house. After the house they move you into a smaller museum of artifacts from the movie and then there is a nice sizable gift shop. The walkthough take a little over an hour. Was very happy with the visit!

Really enjoyed visiting the museum and house. The tour guide Keith was very knowledgeable and easy going. One of my favorite movies growing up and I got to see the place in person. Definitely worth checking the place out.

Loved the tour! It’s my all time favorite holiday movie. They are pet friendly so that was a HUGE plus for us since we were passing through. Keith was our guide and did a great job! 10/10 recommend going if you’re in the area

This was a great experience! I was traveling in the Cleveland area and I had no idea this house was in Cleveland. When I learned it was only about 20 minutes from where I was, I had to stop by and get my picture in front of it. If you love the movie, you must stop by if traveling through Cleveland. It looks almost just like it did in the movie. I was shocked to see that the property was for sale. I am hoping that who ever buys it keeps it the way it is so that others can enjoy it. I only had a short time frame to visit, and was not able to take a tour of the house. There was free parking right next to the house and a gift shop across the street. If I had more time, I would have definitely taken the tour. The best part is they had the old style of Christmas lights up and the leg lamp was in the window just like in the movie! The gift shop had a variety of items in it, and had the Christmas Story movie playing the whole time. I purchased two magnets, a shirt and a drawing of the house. If you are in the area, this is a visit you must make!

5 stars for the nostalgia alone! I did not know that this house was actually used in filming many scenes in the movie, I thought it was just some uberfan's nod to the movie. There's the main house, the Bumpus's house next door, a gift shop and small museum across the street. Our tour guide was awesome, very friendly, lots of movie facts and whatnot. It was about an hour 15 for the whole thing, well worth the price of admission. Some really cool movie props in the museum too, definitely check that out. Worth a visit!!

Let me say that I am not a fan of the movie, I have never seen it. When we arrived I had every intention of staying outside with our dogs while my other family members toured, I was then informed by the very friendly staff that dogs were allowed on the tour including inside the house. Let me tell you I happily gave them my money. Any establishment that is dog friendly gets my money. I do recommend the tour regardless of whether you have dogs with you- it was interesting

What an awesome experience!!!!! Our tour guide was great! The gift shop is so cool! I definitely recommend seeing this attraction at least once after watching the movie...then after you see the house watch the movie again!!!! If you're like me you'll yell "I saw that in person!.....hey! I remember that!....I stood right there!!". Such an awesome experience
