Mellow Mushroom is a novel take on a pizza joint. As part of a chain that hails back to 1974, the vibe is trippy and the decor looks like what you'd expect an acid trip to look like--except with good pizza. The service was the super stand out bright spot here.

Mellow mushroom has exceptional sauces and toppings. They’re flavors are unmatched in Cleveland. My biggest complaint comes from a recent change. A few months ago I noticed my regular take out order was extra cheesy. I called and the manager told me there was a recent corporate recipe change where all pizzas were given a lot more cheese. In my opinion this change totally knocked the whole pizza out of balance. It washes out all of the other ingredients and made the pizza way too heavy. I always order my pizzas here with LIGHY CHEESE and they’re as good as I remember. Pictured below is the holy Shitakke without the onions and light cheese. But dang corporate.. that’s NOT mellow.

We were in Cleveland from out of town and saw they had a Mellow Mushroom! We have been wanting to try them and ordered a small of The Veg and a large pepperoni to take home. Everyone loved them! Especially The Veg for me as I can't eat dairy. Can't wait to go back again and eat in. The interior of the restaurant is awesome!

I first discovered Mellow Mushroom when I was in Tennessee and it was fantastic. The food was delicious as it is here. If you’re wanting to have a good and fun dinner experience then a visit to the Mellow Mushroom is in order. Best pizza, best service!

Great atmosphere and great food! Located in downtown Rocky River with a parking lot in the back. You can enter from the back door. Lots of cool art around. Food wise I wouldn't say it's cheap but definitely worth the price. We ordered two small pizzas (local only--baked potatoes and the thai chicken), both were very good! Appetizer pretzels were soft and airy, served with mustard. Everything tasted even better in store compared to delivery.

Fun environment and great pizza. We had a wait because they were short staffed, but waitress was attentive and responsive once we got our seats.

OMG, my first time eating here and it was delicious! Our group had the giant pretzel, spinach artichoke dip and meatballs, all really good. I ordered the Thai Dye Pie. Game changer, it was incredible. Absolutely recommend it!

Arrived at 9:09 PM today (Tuesday 9/20) and refused to seat us because they were closing early and “needed to update their hours on Google.” Apparently they need to update their hours on their doors too or just learn to draw a better crowd because the place was completely dead (see attached pic of posted hours on the door). Went to Char next door which was a great experience with good food, vibes, and extensive drink menu—highly recommend!

Food was amazing! Our server was incredibly rude and slow. We were the ONLY table in the whole restaurant at 11.30am on 6/28 and she NEVER came to check back on us. Service needs to improve drastically. She spent more time on her phone and talking to the guy in the kitchen area then doing her job.

Ordered through GrubHub, and the pizza was delivered on time, warm, contactless, and delicious! We ordered the Pacific Rim and Pepperoni pizza; the dough was so amazing and all the ingredients were super fresh!

Great atmosphere! Cool artwork for both me and my child to appreciate. Service was friendly and helpful. Food was "delicious" according to my son. Spinach artichoke dip was 🔥. Looking forward to our next visit!

We love Mellow Mushroom. We’re from Houston. Our 2 Mellow Mushrooms closed in 2022 so whenever we are in a city with a MM we stop by to get our fix. We were seated quickly (11:30 on a Sunday). We started with Parmesan pretzels and a side salad. Both were brought out quickly and were as good as we remembered. For our mains we had a Thai Dye and Funky Q Chicken. They were hot and tasty! Love the decor. The service was prompt and very friendly. We’ll be back the next time we’re in Cleveland. Thanks!

The 4.3 Google rating needs to be fixed... How can I put it... after you eat Pizza here it will immediately become your comparison point moving forward. Why only a 4.8 and not a 5 star? ONLY because they don't have "Deep Fried" chicken wings... once they add that to their amazing menu it will be very difficult not to give it a straight 5 star. Delicious Pizza (cheese melted in your mouth) Delicious Wings (though double baked but 5 star flavor) Drinks on point Sauces on point Cleanliness on point Friendly service on point You can't go wrong... Hurry so wasting time!!!!!

Stopped in for lunch today with my 3 kids. It wasnt busy and we sat near the open garage doors which was great. The place looks amazing and the food was pretty good, but the experience was a let down. Only one server/host/bartender for the entire place and she seemed disinterested in us. We were not offered refills, she didn't check on us to see if we needed anything, and it just felt like we were being ignored.

I love this place. The decor is unique & very cool. The pizza & calzones are delicious. Appetizers are also good. Prices are a bit high but unfortunately about average for restaurants these days. Staff is always friendly & efficient.

Buffalo chicken pizza. Extremely poorly made, 4 inches of crust! Blue cheese "drizzle" is 3 giant blobs. Also had to cut the thing myself at home, pieces were just ripping. New to the area, first experience with mellow mushroom was not a good one. Probably won't order here again, considering all the other options. Its a shame, seems like it could be so awesome.

15 years ago I found out that I have a milk allergy. I haven't had pizza in 15 years. With that being said, their choice of non-dairy cheese is FANTASTIC. The pizza is amazing. The Italian hoagie is amazing.

The restaurant is absolutely brilliant. I love the decor and the feel of it. Service was excellent. We were a little disappointed in the food. My sub was good because I love avocado but, that's all you could taste. My husband said the same thing about his sub, lack of flavor.

Great pizza, salads and ambiance. We’ve visited Mellow Mushroom many times and always had great food and an enjoyable experience. The leftover pizza reheats perfectly in the toaster oven the next day.

Was so excited to see that they have celiac safe options! My pizza was delicious and my hubby enjoyed his wings and salad. Service was great, super friendly and they were happy to answer my gluten free questions.

Great food and spirits! Lots to look at. Super colorful inside. Staff is friendly and service was pretty quick.
