I'll be blunt, I don't like these kolaches. It's purely down to personal preference though and no fault of the shop. Obviously, many people like them. I grew up with Czech-American kolaches in southeast and central Texas and these are not them. The split smoked sausage melts too much fat into the dough on the sausage and sausage/cheese ones which makes them greasy. I prefer the 'little smoky' styled sausage that I grew up with, I think it makes a better kolache. The fruit ones are more tasty but they're overly large so the fruit/dough ratio is less than ideal. On the plus side, they're a good value for the price. They'll definitely fill you up. Service was kinda slow but was friendly enough.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while, but to be honest was not very impressed. I got the poppy seed and the pumpkin (seasonal) kolache and there was not much flavor of pumpkin, and it was very doughy. The poppy seed was better but nothing special. If I am every in the area again, I will try different flavors, hopefully it will be better. Service was amazing and staff was very friendly.

A coworker said I should go here. I got the old man experience which a went to a boutique Czech/Slovak pastry place across from a vegan restaurant down the street from a cereal restaurant (8-bit 🙄) in an area that, when I was a strapping yet too pale 22 year old living on Myrtle Ave in 1991 I wouldn't have gone through this neighborhood in the middle of the day without a great deal of trepidation. Anythehoo my friend was right, this place is great. I got two savory (pimento cheese and spinach and feta) and the mighty Ant got two sweet (cherry and pecan -- the counter staff were split on which was was better so we got both). Outdtanding, both Kolach and staff. FANTASTIC time in the bathroom

As a native Texan, these kolaches are authentic perfection! It literally doesn’t matter what you get every single one is delicious. The coffee is amazing, the servers are always SO nice, and the garden is a delight. I’ve spent plenty of days here with my laptop working and the people that use the space to work are polite. There are plenty of outlets, too. This is a perfect local café!

Literally my favorite spot in the neighborhood. The lattes are great and the kolaches are superb. I’ve been in town for a month and this is the one spot I have been back to multiple times. Do yourself a favor and get the sweet cheese one. The ham and cheese and the everything/cream cheese options are awesome too. The front and back seating areas are both great.

Make sure you ask them to warm it up or you will will receive a cold one. It was my first time there. This might be the only place in New York that serves a bacon egg and cheese cold by default. Staff was very rude to me that I did not know that and came back to them confused thinking it was uncooked. I'm sorry but cold eggs or a cold BEC are bizarre and it should not be that big of a deal to heat it up. Wont be back.

Authentic Texas-style kolaches! Both the sweet and savory flavors are so good! The pimento cheese is delicious! And definitely try the lemon curd and seasonal flavors like strawberry rhubarb! They have good coffee and a very friendly staff too. Can’t wait to go back to try other flavors.

From what I tried their Oat Milk Latte is consistently strong and perfect. I also like with their iced drinks, how they don’t fill half the cup with chunks of ice which a lot of places do these days. Matcha Macademia and Ube Latte were both good. Lemon Curd had a refreshing lemony flavor. The texture of the bread was dense though. Orange Roll was extremely dry and bready as it looks. It was stale and it didn’t even taste like orange. The breads are nothing to rave about, the service was fine. I would recommend going for their drinks.

It's a chill place to come and do some work. It has plenty of outlets, indoor and outdoor spaces. It usually has at least one free table. It's a calm and nice space. The coffee is good too.

A really great coffee shop in the area. The kolaches are good if you're looking for a heavier pastry, and the coffee is great. Overall a pretty cool place, especially the back patio.

This is a nice little place. The food is very tasty. The savoury as well as the sweet pastries are delicious. The feta one was slightly dry though but apart from this, it's totally worth going if you are in the area. The drinks were slightly underwhelming. But I didn't try the signatures. They have lavender drinks everyone seems to get.

Perfect savory and sweet pastries and a great coffee menu. Indoor, semi-outdoor, and backyard seating. Perfect place for a pick-me-up any time of day. My favorite Kolache fillings are Jalapeño/Sausage/Cheese and Sweet Cheese/Cherry!

From the excellent coffee to the incredible sweet and savory kolaches and the amazing service, everything about Brooklyn Kolache is exactly what you want from a neighborhood establishment. Kolaches are a Czech specialty that has also grown in popularity in Texas. The owner has now brought these gems to Bed Stuy and I love it. My favorite is the blueberry cheese but the spinach feta is a strong contender. Definitely check it out as soon as you can or get delivery!

Got the egg & cheese + sauce & cheese. Only recommend the egg & cheese but I wish they toast the kolache just a couple extra minutes then it’s perfection

Absolutely delicious!! I highly recommend the sausage and cheese warmed up! And the blueberry was the perfect dessert. The hibiscus tea was also on point.

Friendly staff, best kolaches I've ever had (and I've had a lot)!! Rose water ice tea was so refreshing with my strawberry rhubarb kolache.

This super cute Kolache shop is definitely worth a visit. The shop is cozy and pleasant, and staff are kind and attentive. The back patio is especially cute. The kolaches are the star though. They even put some kolaches in Texas to shame. They also have some creative coffee offerings, including an ube latte, which was the icing on the cake for me. Whether you’re a homesick Texan looking for a taste of home or just looking for some ridiculously good pastries and coffee, this shop will fill your needs!

I’ve never had a kolache before today, and am now in love! We ordered two of the savory specials (one with sausage, egg, and maple syrup, and then banana nutella). The bread was wondrously fluffy and the filling was so tasty. The maple syrup and sausage was a top notch combo! Also picked up a bottle of the fruity ají amarillo not-so-hot hot sauce—highly recommend! The inside of the shop is SO cute as well. Hoping to make this a Saturday tradition!

Kolaches are so so good. Favorite is the jalapeño sausage! Flavored coffee is just okay.

This place is great! The Texas style kolache is super flavorful & has a great texture. The King Cake Roll is sweet, soft, and overall one of my favorite treats. The brown sugar ube latte is amazing! This is definitely worth the trip. My only complaint is the pricing. $6-$7 dollars for a 12 ounce latte is pretty high.

Absolutely delicious! We went back for more the same day. The flavors are tasty and dough is very fluffy.

I had wanted to visit this place for a long time. So many kolache options including a vegan biscuit with a few different vegan butter spreads (strawberry and chive). They also have a lot of seasonal flavored drinks that looked delicious. They have seating in front that is open air, indoors in the back, as well as a back patio.

Very informal place with a cute backyard, the Kolaches are fresh and delicious and they also make fresh orange juice. The coffee sometimes is too hot and not always good.

Make sure you take note of the Specials Menu before you walk in, it’s posted on the left wall of that semi outdoor foyer. It’s very easy to miss, somehow there isn’t another menu inside where you place your order. Had I seen it, would have gotten their seasonal ube latte instead of their matcha which was just average. Wow, mushroom goat cheese kolache hit the spot even after brunch nearby, we still made room! Tasted fresh and the bread reminds me of the butter rolls from Tai Pan bakery. Few other vegetarian and gluten free friendly options on their menu as well. Did not expect to enjoy the kolache as much as we did. Can’t believe it took this long to check this place out. Cute merch ie totes on sale.

Delicious! I am a huge fan of sweet Kolaches and their strawberry rhubarb one was amazing. Brought a friend visiting from Texas and it was a great little hole in the wall. Has a cute little front patio too

Great if you like wet pastries I suppose . First of all the savory kolaches are served ice cold. My Texas beef had a random wad of melted cheese from something else literally stuck to the outside, and the entire bottom was wet and slimy . The beef was hard and completely unidentifiable as beef . There is not much filling inside the savory ones . All dough with a tiny square of gross hard filling in the middle . Both went into the trash .

Very friendly and helpful staff! I love how the kolachē came out warm with cheese all melted inside. I got the popular cheese, sausage & chorizo but I’m definitely excited to try the sweet and vegan flavors soon!
