Made In New York Jazz Cafe&Bar

Jazz club

đź‘Ťđź‘Ť Great food. Great music. Would visit again! Note - they do have a $15 pp music fee for you to sit/do e in the back room... Not sure how I feel about that on top on the prices. But if they lowered the fee to $5 or passed around a hat I'd be a regular. I'd definitely say worth checking it out People often mention music, show, beer, experience, good, asked,

I really wanted to like this place... But, our experience was very mediocre... I get this is a place to go for the show, but charging $20 per person is a bit excessive when everybody is seated and supposed to eat and consume as well...They include a wine and only wine, so if you don;t drink wine you don't get anything.... The food was not good but at least is not expensive, we ordered pizzas, they were most probably frozen, look like kids pizza... the chicken was just ok and the $20 cheese and charcuterie board was also very ok and came with 3 slices of prosciutto if that. We made a reservation but they couldn't find it when we got there even though I received text messages confirmation. We got there early and waited by the bar. Hostess asked us if we wanted front or back, we asked front and she seated on the back... There is a huge piece of furniture in the middle of the room that blocks the view of several tables and they still tried to seat us there when there...So you paya $20 to hear a band you can't see.... All the tables in the back have a view, but somehow partial. Cocktails are ok. Honestly, this is a place to just go for a drink but the experience is not going to be cheap. The band we heard was really loud and fast for dinner but the show was good, sound was good

I've read other reviews. Let me just start of by saying that I am an actual customer. Really great place! Excellent food, cozy inviting atmosphere and very friendly stuff - and the music is beyond words. I would definitely visit again! Highly recommend!

The music and the sound were excellent. I went to the bar and asked for a beer; the bartender offered me a special shot of hard liquor for a $1 extra. I opted for whiskey a d was pleasantly surprised when instead of no-name bottom shelf plastic jug whiskey, she poured me Jamerson. The beer was also fresh, with clear lines and no unpleasant odors.

The place has potential as the food and drinks generally seemed on point, but the time I was there the waiters were just not doing their job. Forgot orders, seemed to have no system for deciding which orders were for what table. Took 30mins to pay the bill, and even had to get up and give them the check, cause they never came back to get it.

A great place in park slope to rival blue note and zinc bar in the city. Great music and food and very reasonable prices. Add great service and an intimate atmosphere and you are at the made in ny jazz cafe.

    Best Jazz cafe in Brooklyn

I have never given a negative review to any Park Slope business. This is a first. The reviews so far before this one seems to includes various staff members/friends. As an actual customer that attended the 7PM Charenee Wade Trio on Sunday October 27th, my experience will NOT lead me back to Made in NY Jazz Cafe. The waiter and the musical performance were excellent. The management's service was  completely opposite. Going by the pattern of their ticket reservation system, a $20 ticket comes with wine, $15 comes with a draft beer, and $10 doesn't include anything, depending on the show. I had bought 3 tickets for a $15 show for my girlfriend, her sister and myself about a week before the show date. 1) The manager had no idea that the $15 ticket included a draft beer as clearly stated on the venue website for that show. He had asked me to show him where it says so. In doing so, he took out his phone to check. Apparently, he had no idea how to navigate Made in NY's website. As I helped him navigate to the tickets reservation for the correct show, he asked, "Is this what's playing tonight?" 2) My girlfriend and her sister had selected their beers. They honored the deal after my help of navigating their website for them. I asked if I can get a soda in replacement of the beer because I do not drink alcohol. The manager said he'll check but never returned with an answer. By requesting a soda instead of beer, I would be saving Made in NY money. Apparently, that was a difficult concept to figure out. So I got a beer anyway and gave it away. However, it is really sad to see a venue not willing (or not caring) to accommodate customers who do not drink, especially when the cost of a draft beer is $8 while a Coke is $3.50. 3) The table next to us also had issues in relation to their bill. According to them, the lady at the front promised to waive the cover charge and yet they were still charged it. Before any of this happened, we had all looked at the menu and decided on several food items to order. But due to all this, we decided to only order one food item and then eat dinner elsewhere rather than give any more business than we already did. For a business that just opened up, they are deceptive and disorganized. I enjoy showing my friends around Park Slope and this was a place I thought I could repeatedly take them too. After this experience though, I would never subject them to this type of service. I take a lot of pride in supporting businesses in Park Slope, but I find this place to be an embarrassment.

I have been going to this club for their nightly events and everything was amazing. Today I tried their new brunch menu and it was just as great. The food is fantastic, the drinks on point and the music... Legendary!

Live music and good food! We visited for brunch on a Saturday and were greeted with friendly service and pleasant music from the pianist. We ordered the burger and crispy chicken sandwich, both of which were tasty. However, the sandwich bread was soggy from the watery cole slaw, which ruined the sandwich-eating experience for me--I ate with a knife and fork instead. I wish the slaw was less watery and came on the side. Overall a good experience, and I'd be more than happy to come again.
