The place was fun. Great wait staff, friendly bouncers. Not too pretentious. Lots of room, and the drinks weren't overpriced. The DJ was terrible though. I guess that's something you can't really avoid 100% of the time. If you find this review helpful, please mark it as such. Thank you!

Came on a sunday and we were treated to an excellent jazz band, great food and some tasty brews. We got the mac & cheese (pictured below) and pretzel and grilled cheese, all of which I recommend.

A very nice place. Had gone for New Year's. The cocktails were excellent. The whole crew - the manager, the bartenders were great. They were not serving any food and as we were hungry, they let us get food in from the restaurant next door. They had a DJ for the night to play music from 10 pm to well past midnight. It was an amazing experience. Enjoyed and had fun. T is a great bartender. Makes amazing cocktails. Love this place. Will definitely be going back.

Beautiful, spacious bar that looks like a chic cabin was converted into a lounge. The downstairs area offers a comfortable layout, with narrow ledges offering ample surface area for food/beverages and a nook with leather seating. I didn't get a chance to try any of the food or craft cocktails, but would happily go back and do so.

We came in on a Saturday afternoon. I got a great tequila cocktail ($12, I think), and we ordered guac which was pretty good. Service was super friendly and fast, and the place has a really cool vibe. I'd definitely go back at night to check out the night crowd. It's a small place, I'm sure it gets really crowded. My friend and I ended up sharing a table with another group of 3, but it quickly reached a point where people just had to stand. I think bigger groups might have a hard time squeezing into a corner.

I came here thinking it was the Whiskey Brooklyn Bar since literally at the entrance it says “Whiskey Annex” and I paid a $10 entrance charge for my wife and I($20 total) Less than 5 minutes later after finding out my friends were actually at the Brooklyn Whiskey Bar and the bar did not connect the bouncer did not give us a refund.

Actually loved this place, I was here to celebrate a friends birthday and the atmosphere was just perfect. A lot of people were moving around dancing and grooving but you were still able to move around. We actually left a club after only being there for about an hour while the night was young and stumbled onto this place and didn't leave until they were actually closing which was about 3:30am. If you're down with excellent music, drinks and dancing or drinks and just relaxing I recommend this place for both.

This is a fantastic place, whether your are there for drinks or for a gathering We had a party last night and had the whole doewnstairs. There were about 45-50 people who attended and the place did not seem crowded one bit. The bartenders were great The GM, Matt, was very attentive to our needs, as were the owners. The wine was great and I heard from the guests that the beer was great also. Finger food was perfect for the occasion. I would not hesitate to reach out to them or another event. Great people!! A nice bar restaurant with a modern feel and a touch of industrialism. They surprisingly also had great music and a cool downstairs space although a little small for the amount of people present. I'd recommend for earlybite and drinks, and then into the evening dancing.

One of the best bars in Brooklyn! I recently had my 30th birthday party here and I couldn't have been more impressed with The Counting Room. Great ambiance, great music, great food, great staff! If you want to have a killer birthday party, come here! There's also a hidden dance club downstairs which was the perfect ending to an already awesome night! Thank you The Counting Room and Ruth for such a wonderful party!
