Absolutely masterful cocktail craftspersonship, impeccable speed and service, and an atmosphere thick with dark and smoky vibes and charming relationships with the staff. The former brothel/speakeasy appeal is strong, and yes, the bed is still in the back! Will be coming back once the back area is open for the summer 😁

Wonderful bar in every way. They don’t let the bar go beyond seating capacity so it never feels like everyone is crammed together. The drinks are delicious, not too pricey, and even though they are intricate the bartenders are super fast. Awesome music and decor too!

This place is all vibe and the cocktails deliver. The bartenders are smart and keep an eye out for empty glasses. The meat and cheese plate was delicious and plenty for two people. All the prices were pretty reasonable and everything tasted great. There’s an awesome long bar and if you have a big group it wraps around at the end. There’s also an outdoor area if that is your vibe. Definitely pop in and grab a drink here.

Overall rating: 4.8 Absolutely one of my favorite bars in Carrol Gardens. I’ve been here only for drinks on a date and solo, but I could totally see their food also being good. I love how intimate, fancy and sultry the bar feels. It was interesting that the backyard feels like a different spot altogether. This is a great spot if you’re just in the area or looking to impress your date. I can totally see myself reading a book in the corner. Very friendly staff & great atmosphere. Highly, highly recommend.

Love the ambiance of this place. It’s a perfect date spot. The lighting and atmosphere is very intimate and chić. We got there right at 5pm and enjoyed the happy hour specials. $3 off cocktails and $1 oysters. It was the perfect start to our evening. The cocktails are innovative. Recommend getting : The Primacy of Matter Over Thought cocktail. It was unbelievably smooth.

One of the best cocktail bars in Carroll Gardens. Great menu, fair pricing, in-house infusions, and good atmosphere. This is a well run establishment. It was not too crowded to the point where you couldn’t have a conversation with those around you.

Had an unsettling experience with two of the bartenders last night on 1/14/24. One bartender completely disregarded us, even though we had been waiting a while to be served. The other bartender, whose condescending demeanor was hard to ignore, seemed more interested in rushing us through our drinks (even going as far as pointing at his watch) than ensuring we had an enjoyable evening. His tone and choice of words were consistently off-putting, making us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. The overall experience left a sour taste in my mouth and will not be returning nor recommending to others.

This is my go to place for drinks and atmosphere. I just let Olivia choose my journey and she never steers me wrong. While I love the smokiness of the Little Death, my new favorite is Splendor & Misery. Just tell Olivia your flavor profile and let her take it from there. A perfect evening for me is when Olivia steers and Ellie pours. Ellie’s got more art to her than just the ink on her sleeves- Truly a master mixer.

The cocktails we ordered were the best! From the first sip to the last, each drink was a delightful blend of flavors that left us craving for more.

Intimate, beautifully decorated bar/speakeasy. The drinks taste amazing, and are well worth the price. The bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly. One of the top bars in NYC in my humble opinion.

Great staff. Very incentive cocktail menu. The backroom was a great photo op and fun for conversation.it seems from their Instagram they are also constantly doing events. Great option if you want a drink with a fun background

We went here for my partner’s birthday with a few friends and family last week (around 7-8 of us). Let me start off by saying, the drinks were good and we generally enjoyed the cocktails. The service was so bad, we wanted to get the hell out of there. Since my partner and a family member had their birthdays in the same week, so we decided to have two rounds of shots to celebrate. We asked our waitress if we could get two rounds of shots. She curtly replied “this is not a dive bar”. And then proceeded to say something about how the bar is ‘fancier’. The subtext was clear. That pretty much set the mood for the evening. We did not ask for free shots or ask anything for free. We just wanted two rounds of shots along with all the other drinks that we were going to order anyway. If you don’t want to serve two rounds at the same time - there are infinite more respectful ways to convey that to us. If you don’t want certain clientele - let the customers know so that we don’t have to sit through it. The disrespect and condescension was apparent for the rest of the time that we were there. We were taken in by the reviews. We expected better.

Creative and imaginative cocktails in a really cool space. Bartenders were knowledgeable and chatty and helped maintain a fun vibe. I loved my drinks, the ambiance and will certainly come back.

Best vibe in Carroll Gardens, both inside and out (with good weather). Back terrace is a gem, and the music selection fits the upscale vibe (but a tad too loud). You can't beat their cocktails or oysters, but they'll cost you. The negative: unqualified staff, slow service, and wine list is puny and not great.

Excellent atmosphere, cocktail selection and staff. We felt welcomed, not rushed out of our comfortable seat in the lounge. Really enjoyed this place - good lighting, good vibes all around :)

My friend and I went for the beautiful, dark moody ambience inside. We were seated at the end of the bar, and the seats were small and at an angle so you have to keep yourself from sliding out of them lol. There was some back room that we didn’t check out but I think it’s like a bedroom you can hang out in? Anyway, the drinks are on the pricey side which is to be expected at a cocktail bar in Brooklyn. I got a $16 drink and my friend’s was like $20-$25 I think. They were incredibly strong, and when my friend asked for more pineapple juice (it was one of the ingredients in her drink), the barback/server (I don’t think he was a bartender) told us they didn’t have any pineapple juice and the drink was pre-mixed. $20 for a pre-mixed drink!!! And no mixer to add to it to make it less strong!!! We ended up leaving without finishing them even though we paid for them lol. The bill was incredibly steep. The server did charge my phone though so that was really nice of him.

What an awesome spot. The drinks were incredible, interior was cozy, and the bartender was super friendly. Great for dates.

Excellent cocktails and great vibes. I really enjoyed the Splendor and Misery cocktail. But was very disappointed by the extremely steeply priced $39 meat and cheese board, which was small (with mostly basic supermarket items on it) and yet still took more than 20 minutes to come out. Felt like we walked into a trap by ordering food there and would like to see food options improved. In the meantime, we'll be returning, but just for the drinks!

Stopped here on a very cold night in February & boy was it warm & nice inside there. The ambiance is next level. The drinks are so unique. It’s is small & tight around the bar.

Great cocktails. Music and ambiance are also top notch. There is a expansive back yard area along with indoor seating. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately when we got there it was extremely packed and no more seating space was available, but the ambiance was very cool - a long art deco type long bar table and then a back room with what looked like a bed/gazebo in the back with additional seating. Was bummed we didn’t get to stay for a drink- the menu looks very cool - but will be back for sure!

Cute space. Very limited variety of drinks. Don't think you can come here with a custom drink and they will make it... they will not lol. But with that said... the drinks that they have on deck are very good. If you are willing to spend $$$, and are up to trying drinks you've never had before that are actually very good, then come on in!

Perfectly Brooklyn - sexy decor coupled with 90s hip hop music make this a fun date night spot without the crowds. Had both the mezcal drinks - each were balanced, not too sweet. Charcuterie board was a good snack.

Great drinks. Cool brothel vibes with a bed in the back room for some good pics! Loved the music. They also have a great outdoor area.
