I was lucky enough to visit on a warm winters day mid-week, so the trail was almost empty at mid-morning, and what a scenic little spot this is. It’s a stark reminder that despite living in a busy city, we also have national parks on our doorstep, and you can almost lose yourself in these wildernesses. The Resolute Loop Trail runs around in a loop from the carpark all the way through to Resolute Beach, and ending on the other side at West Head Lookout. Assuming you start from the carpark, you’ll wind your way around to the lookout, and it is then a short walk from there, once you’ve soaked in the vast vista’s, back to the carpark. Enjoy the day, take your time, and be thankful that you have such wonderful escapes that you can explore at your leisure.

Lovely sandy beach with clear, calm water! Not too far from West Head Lookout - would say a fit person could take around 20 to 30 minutes walking each way if they didn’t take time out to visit West Head Beach.

A bit of a hike to get to, it's steep going downhill to the beach and it's very rocky. There's not much sand, it's more rocks. It's a cosy and quiet beach. There's no bathrooms or rubbish bins so take all your rubbish home.

Nice secluded beach, great hike and water was super nice. $12 entry into the park for the day which isn’t bad

Beautiful beach, we went on a really nice day on the weekend in January, so it was quite busy for a ‘remote’ beach, but still really lovely and crystal clear water for swimming.

Topping off our already perfect Holidays. Decide to go for a bush walk and beach picnic. This is a great spot for a bit of hard exercise followed by a seren swim and relaxing picnic. The scenery and seclusion is amazing. Will be taking in more bush walks along the many tracks.......be warned no amenities close by and be a little fit for the walks.

Resolute Beach is a stunning and secluded, beautiful yellow sandy beach. It's about a 30 minute walk from West Head Lookout along a moderate difficulty trail. A perfect stop for a picnic or a short rest along the longer trail. It's good for swimming, calm with no waves, as it's protected from ocean swell. The beach faces east and could get blowy on a strong easterly wind. There's no amenities at the beach, the closest at West Head Lookout.

Resolute Beach is one of the most scenic beaches in the National Park. It is definitely worth the drive and hike down! Just remember plenty of steps back out 😊

It’s an little beach tucked away in the bushes. One needs to trek down for about and hour (we’ll, it took and hour for us!) to get here, but it’s worth it. It’s no longer very secret anymore and there were people at the beach, but still it’s not as crowded as other beaches in Summer.

The beach was so nice low waves & very quiet but I’m very disappointed I’m not very hiking person so it’s hard for me to walk there it’s like a 30 min walk from car park place to the beach if anyone likes hiking this beach is for you after hiking just go straight to the beach on a hot day , to me it’s to much stairs it’s like a steep down hill very risky with rocks I almost rolled my ankle so plz be careful

Resolute Beach is spectacular and an excellent and safe beach to swim in, the walking 👣 down to the beach ⛱️ is a challenging trip and one that is not for the faint hearted however, if one can make it down to the beach and back safely it's well worth the trek. The disappointing thing and concern is state of emergency we had an incident with one of our family members who got really ill on the way back and couldn't walk with exhaustion and the heat, we called the Parks Rangers via NSW Parks contact to request as an emergency to open the vehicle track path gate so we could get a 4WD down safely and pickup our family member in distress, sadly enough there was no help or response from local Rangers we had to make walk back which took almost 2 hours with a sick person. This was disheartening and a big question that remains un answered and will keep you wondering what would happen if one fell into a state of emergency situation like ours.

Was once a quiet secluded beach a few years ago but social media put an end to that. Still a nice place to swim though if you can put up with the kayaking tour groups, wannabe influencers, Bluetooth speakers, party boats and rubbish people leave behind.

A bit of hike down hill to get there and a bike hike back up but worth it. Nice and secluded and great views of Palm Beach.

Beautiful beach with clear and calm waters, with expansive views of Palm Beach and the Headland. A fit person should take 20-30min each way from West Head Lookout, though the path is a bit rough in some sections. Visited mid-week and only shared it with a handful of others which was nice and quiet. Can definitely see how it'd get busy during the peak of summer.

Absolutely amazing beach. Be prepared for a 30min hike before reaching the beach. If you’re after a somewhat isolate and not too crowded beach, this is the one! My favorite beach in Sydney.

This one beach that really takes a little effort to get to but so worth it . There is a cascade that runs all the way down to the beach and collects in a pool on the beach . The waters hear is so clean and clear and from the beach it takes in views palm beach and headland. There is some nice natural rocks features and pools hear to explore also .
