We
had
exactly
the
same
experience
as
Melissa
mentioned
below.
I
must
add
that
the
receptionists
and
Pui
Shan
Lee
(acting
as
Dr
Tan
assistant)
were
very
kind
and
good
at
their
role.
In
short,
go
to
a
better
organized
and
more
professional
institution;
it
will
cost
you
less
money,
you'll
be
treated
like
human
beings,
and
they
will
have
a
better
insight
of
what
is
actually
going
on
with
your
fertility
problems.
Dr
Tan
has
been
unethical,
rude,
unprofessional
and
simply
lazy.
He
was
never
prepared
on
all
appointment
we
had.
Always
alarmist
after
each
echo,
never
explaining
the
risks
correctly
(I
am
a
neuroscientist
researcher,
I
do
know
a
thing
or
two
about
statistics
and
interpretation).
For
example,
my
wife
got
prescribe
anti-anxiety
medication
prior
to
all
the
process
(by
them),
and
at
some
point,
she
got
pregnant.
For
three
test
(blood
test,
first
echo,
second
echo),
they
schedule
the
appointment
too
early,
and
had
to
come
back
AFTER
the
test
(thus,
paying
twice).
At
the
first
echo,
we
learned
that
the
heartbeat
was
too
slow,
at
5
weeks.
If
you
look
at
the
literature,
the
standard
deviation
at
this
age
is
so
high
that
it
is
irrelevant
(you
must
wait
for
6
week).
Thus,
my
wife
got
prescribed
progesterone
even
though
her
levels
were
normal,
based
on
this
too
early
echo.
This
(very
costly)
medication
has
no
effect
on
a
fetal
heartbeat,
but
could
help
for
other
pathologies.
Of
course,
after
rescheduling
the
next
week,
everything
was
fine.
They
saw
(very
small)
traces
of
blood,
though,
and
his
reaction
was
VERY
alarming.
After
verification,
this
is
perfectly
normal
if
it
doesn't
increase
in
the
next
week,
but
before
that
there
is
a
very
high
chance
that
this
is
benign.
Did
I
mention
that
mid-question,
Dr
Tan
TURN
TOWARDS
HIS
COMPUTER
SCREEN
AND
STARTED
TO
READ
THE
NEWS?!
What
a
joke.
Then
I
asked
if
her
medication
could
affect
or
cause
this
bleeding,
and
he
was
puzzled.
He
looked
at
our
file,
said
"what
medication,
what
are
you
talking
about",
we
mentioned
the
anti-anxiolitic
HE
PRESCRIBED,
and
then
after
whispering
to
his
assistant,
went
to
see
the
pharmacist
on
place,
then
came
back
and
said
"there
should
be
no
problem,
but
let's
stop
it".
(spoiler
alert:
there
is
no
correlation
at
all
according
to
litterature
and
professionals).
Do
you
know,
among
other
factors,
what
naturally
causes
bleeding
at
the
first
trimester?
Stress.
This
doctor
will
give
you
plenty
of
it.
We
then
schedule
the
harmony
test
(chromosome
anomaly
detection,
and
concurrently
the
sex
of
the
baby).
They
called
us
to
say
they
got
the
results,
then
made
us
wait,
then
said
"oh
we
don't
have
them
yet
sorry".
We
directly
called
the
lab,
and
gave
us
the
results
(they
had
it).
Did
OriginElle
called
us
back?
Nope.
They
then
tried
to
schedule
the
12th
week
echo
at
our
11th
week
(again!).
Everything
was
fine,
but
I
could
not
be
present
at
this
one.
My
wife
then
got
called
to
Dr
Tan
office,
and
as
soon
as
she
entered:
"It's
a
girl!".
Now,
imagine
we
did
not
want
to
know
it
yet,
or
that
my
wife
wanted
us
to
hear
it
at
the
same
time,
he
would
have
screwed
this
moment
(of
course,
because
we
called
the
lab,
we
knew,
but
he
was
not
aware
of
this).
