Very
fresh
and
simple.
The
beef
they
used
in
their
soup
was
extremely
tender
(most
tender
I
had
since
I've
been
to
a
Hot
Pot
Buffet)
but
something
was
missing
in
their
seasoning.
3,5
/5
max.
I
could
tell
they
had
a
lot
of
loyal
customers,
so
service
is
good.
For
the
price,
portions
are
decent,
but
lacks
a
little
flavour
in
my
opinion
compared
to
my
favourite
Pho
place
in
the
core
of
Downtown
Mtl
or
in
CDN...
But
it
is
authentic!
I
initially
decided
to
try
the
cantine
because
the
resto
was
mentionned
as
a
Mtl
staple/favored
restaurant
that
famous
local
author
Kim
Thuy
recommended
years
ago.
Their
spring
rolls
are
worth
the
price
but
it
was
lacking
taste
(should
add
more
herbs
or
maybe
a
radish).
I
wish
they
served
fish
sauce
or
chilly
oil
on
the
side
as
an
option
to
replace
peanut
sauce.
Their
broth
is
very
light
&
balanced.
Maybe
adding
lemongrass
would
be
a
nice
touch.
Nothing
extravagant
or
that
stood
out
in
the
cooking,sadly
.
On
the
other
hand,
the
resto's
decor
is
simple
yet
strinking,
with
a
lot
of
green
plants
and
a
beautiful
painting.
Refreshing
look!
Careful,
very
few
seating
available,
so
be
wary
to
show
up
in
groups
larger
than
4.
Ambiance
was
calm.
I
feel
like
it's
a
little
more
expensive
than
most
Pho
restaurants,
yet
affordable
due
to
it's
location.
The
taste
of
the
meal
was
a
little
underwhelming
in
my
opinion,
but
if
you
enjoy
places
that
don't
over
do
it
with
salt,
and
stick
to
delivering
quality,
this
is
a
nice
alternative
&
a
classic
clean
restaurant
on
Notre-Dame's
gentrified
section
of
St-Henri.
Probably
better
as
a
take-out
option!
