I went to see Dr. Malik for what she diagnosed as a planters wart. She told me the I could either do surgery, or, purchase orthotics, I chose the latter. Since it didn't at all help, I decided to just live with the pain. Several years later (a few months ago), I went to see a podiatrist in my neighborhood (Kirkland). That podiatrist (Dr. Langlois) said that in fact it is an ingrown corn, not a planters wart and began treatments that day. Three treatments later, thanks to Dr. Langlois of Clinic Podiatrique Kirkland, the roots of the corn have been reduced by 75% and I'm now able to walk and run virtually pain free, without orthotics. As has been said about Dr. Malik in other reviews, she is very effective at selling her orthotics, which in my case anyways, was not at all what I needed.

I feel like I have new feet with my orthotics! As soon as I walked out of the clinic with them on, I felt the difference. I feel like my legs and whole body are supported like never before and that I can walk forever. No foot pain, no shin splints. I am so glad I made the decision to get them, it was well worth it! The team is fantastic, felt like I had known them forever on my first visit! I highly recommend an appointment Dr. Malik, best thing I have ever done for myself!

Dr. Malik is an effective salesperson. She does an okay job of positioning herself as an expert to suffering patients. She ensures to emphasize the pain her patients are experiencing (in what seems to be an effort to encourage surgical intervention). She uses the right language patterns to emphasize a need for surgery. Establishing there are only two ways to treat flat feet (control and surgery); eliminating the idea of alternative treatment by changing someone’s movement patterns. Establishing her approach as the only solution to the pain caused by flat feet. It is my opinion that this is a close-minded approach that ought to tremendously increase her sales. She does a good job of trying to hammer home that the patient was ‘born this way’ and will continue to suffer from their imperfections without surgery. Unfortunately, when questioned on her expertise on foot function, she evades questions by saying ‘it’s not that simple’ instead of explaining why that is ‘not that simple’. This comment was regarding my question on the need for a tendon to contract for the foot to adjust its position. She refuses to acknowledge the capability of the body to learn different movement patterns. She compares herself with amateurs in the fitness space to illustrate that alternative approaches aren’t possible or effective. To illustrate that tendon and ligament strengthening is not possible. It is my opinion that this stance is disrespectful to the beauty and adaptative nature of the human body. I gave her a two star rating as she offered 2 solutions that I could consider relatively effective: 1. A dynamic insole- which i see as an upgrade on traditional insole orthotics. 2. Treatment for in grown toenails.

Dr. Malik is an excellent Podiatrist. She cares, she takes the time to explain what’s going on and how we’ll treat it. I came with a problem and she fixed it. I could literally see and feel the improvements. Her staff is as kind as her, I receive a confirmation by email for my appointments and they call on the phone to confirm too. I would recommend Dr. Malik without any hesitation.

Went last year (2021) to get orthotics following an ankle surgery in 2016. My right foot tends to roll to the outside and I can twist that ankle easily. I need the right side of my right foot to be kept in place. I hike/walk a lot. All of this was known at the time of preparing the orthotics. She did a 3D computer print and provided thin/short orthotics. Initially, I was happy with the product. Over the months I have developed pain in my left foot just where the orthotic ends and pain in my left heel. I went today to Laboratoire Orthopedique Saint Laurent. They told me that the orthotics were not doing their job: too short, too flexible and without the proper compensation for height and structure on the right side. I don't understand how it's possible to provide orthotics that don't address a known problem fully? I need an orthotics with a bevel on the right side of the right foot, it seems quite straightforward? I guess she sold me what she had not what was needed (thicker, more structured orthotics). Moroever, the whole process was more expensive than Sunlife typically reimburses so they capped the payment. So I think it's better to get orthotics done at the orthotics lab directly. There they will do what you need and adjust if needed.

Dr. Malik is the best podiatrist that I have been seeing. My daughter used to see another podiatrist and couldn't see any changes with her feet and they she was walking. Dr. Malik has high tech technology that makes you see the improvement since we changed doctor. She has lots of patience to explain to you well all the treatments and answer all your questions. I recommend her 100%

I have been a patient of Dr. Malik for about 10 years. I went to see her after trying to save my big tow from being amputated. I was back and forth to the hospital 3 times a week for a year. The first thing she did was tell me she could save my tow if I did what she said! I followed what she said and saved my tow. The great thing about her clinic is if you have an emergency they make every effort to get you in right away I am good example of that. The main thing I like is how much they care you can tell that by the way she talks to you. Some people may think she is a little harsh but it is only to let you know how serious it can be. For my foot care there is no other place to go except for Malik Podiatry and I have sent people to there and they agree.

Dr. Malik is amazing! Finally had the courage and got Minimally Invasive Surgery for my left bunion . I am beyond happy with the results. Dr. Malik and her team are truly the best and can't believe I waited this long. I WALKED out of surgery with post-op shoe. Excellent post recovery, easy and they are with you every step of the way if you have questions. Progress on recovery and healing matched up perfectly with Dr. Malik's predicted timeline. Paula

Giving 2 stars because before my negative experience with this clinic, the staff was actually very nice. I was put in a situation where I needed a family doctor for a surgery that they recommended for me after I had mentioned I no longer had a family doctor. Given the state of the medical system in Quebec, this is not an easy request to fulfill. I got the run-around from everyone in this clinic, had to pay a deposit to secure my spot, only to find out I can't get the surgery done because I can't get medical clearance...for a surgery THEY'RE performing. A huge waste of my time. After voicing my concern with the staff, I was contradicted and the blame was put on me. What went from being a very hopeful situation turned into a very unpleasant experience. Would not recommend unless you have a family doctor (contrary to what is written on their website).

I keep hearing about her on the radio so I need to share my experience. Went to her for a few issues a while back. She was nice and we made a plan that I was comfortable with. One week later, her secretary called me to cancel everything. Basically told me to do it myself and then come back in one year. If I could have done it myself then I would have never gone in the first place? I never went back and she never called to follow up.

Both my mom and I are extremely impressed with the service we received. My mom’s hammertoe surgery was a success and she is very happy with the end result. Dr. Malik is exceptional and she went beyond the services provided for my mom. I had to have my toe nail removed due to trauma to my toe. My care was just as impressive as my mom’s. Her staff is wonderful, friendly and kind. We highly recommend this clinic.

Dr. Malik is wonderful! Having lived with an unsightly and often painful bunion for years, I finally decided to have the minimal invasive surgery. The whole process was seamless, the actual surgery not painful at all, and the recovery was fairly quick. The staff were all very friendly and professional, and as for Dr. Malik- she's a gem and highly gifted doctor! I can't say enough positive things about the procedure and now I have normal looking feet again and can wear shoes without pain.
