When we got there, absolutely NOTHING was as it showed online. The toilet wouldn't fill and stay filled, there was no internet, the tub didn't work and there was, literally, NO TV set. They stated they would bring one right out and 4 hours later, they said they didn't have one. We were #4 of 5 people leaving, demanding a refund. They also lost my husband's commercial driver's license! Also, the manager lied to the corporate office and said we stayed all 3 days so they would not have to give the money back. But we were at another hotel for those 3 days! Do NOT book there as it is a corrupt and crooked businesses!!!

The room was awful, the bedding and sheets were stained. The towels were stained. No trash can at all. The restroom had caulk hanging from the ceilings and the shower curtain rod, and light fixture. The toilet was worn badly. The sink faucets were corroded. It smelled awful and I am pretty sure I got bed bug bites on my arm. The door did lock, but wouldn't shut tight. I will never stay at this motel again. Even for the cheap price, it is not worth it.

I have stayed in OYO in other areas and have always been perfectly satisfied with the cleanliness. This location is just not clean. I went in to see if I could check in early and I could not get past how nasty the lobby, the outside area were. I knew at that point that I could not sleep in this place. I immediately went to try to cancel my reservation but they did not allow it. I understand that is their policy, and that is ok, but I would rather lose the money on the room than stay over night here. I think that says a lot.

I want to add that everytime I reach out to the property manager I get told she is in a meeting, thw last time I was laughed at. This hotel refuses to refund my money! Do not stay at this hotel. It is absolutely horrible! Listen to the previous reviews. This hotel was horrible to say the least. The front desk was super sweet, but that only goes so far. As soon as walking in towards the room, it reeked of drugs. Got to the room and the curtains where pinned together and would not close. There was cups of milk left in the fridge and what I hope was tea. We did not even try to stay after all of this. If I could leave pictures on the review, I would. Corporate seriously needs to come in and fix this place. The only other nice looking thing was the pool. Hotel has potential with some major investing. Guys the cheap price isn't even worth it. Just don't stay. I tried to give it a chance even with the bad reviews. A big fat nope

Worst hotel we've ever been in. We stayed approximately 10 minutes, while maintenance changed out a TV with no electrical plug, then went down the street to a Comfort Inn. Hotel was dirty, unkempt and unsafe. Curtain wouldn't close, so there was a direct 3 ft. wide gap with a view right to the bed. Only 1 set of towels for 2 people. Leaky and running toilet. 4 of 7 light bulbs missing in the lamps, one without any bulbs. If you can't find another hotel, I'd suggest you're safer sleeping in your car!

When we arrived there were three police cars parked in front of office. One of the employees had been fighting with boyfriend in the lobby before our arrival. That should have been our first clue. After the police left I tried to check in. There was so much confusion that it was hard to get checked in. The girl checking me in asked for my driver's license and then set it back down because our room was not ready yet. She told me that it would be two hours before room was ready. The general manager was cleaning rooms and rejected giving us the room that the check in lady was offering. So she had to quickly clean a room for us. After checking in, she told us they had no TV cable. Also found out that they no longer have a bar and no longer serve breakfast as advertised. I did not get my driver's license back. Later when I checked for it, they did know where it was. After getting to the room we found out that the internet did not work in those rooms. I was told that the service provider was working on it at that time and had just rebooted it. Found out later that was another lie. The provider was not there. I found a bug in the bathroom that had been there for a while. I was going to flush it down the commode, but the commode wouldn't flush. I reported the commode not working and was told that I would have to mess with the float to make it work. I had to mess with the float Everytime we used the commode. I asked for a couple more towels because there was only one towel. They were out but would put two more towels in the room in about an hour. This is when I found out that another room next to me had a TV in the room and was able to stream from his phone to the TV. I asked for a TV. We were going out to eat and they said there would be a TV and towels in my room when we returned. When we got back, there still was no towels, no TV and internet still didn't work. I went to the office to get the towels so we could shower. While I was waiting for my towels, two other people requested a refund because of all the problems they encountered. The girl in the office tried to call her general manager, but the general manager would not answer the phone. I went back to the room to find out that the bathtub did not work. This location is not ready for business. It needs to be closed until it is ready for business.

This is the absolute worst hotel in existence. The only thing they provide is a roof for se* workers and dru* dealers. Horrible health issues are also to take into account. It needs to bulldozed and rebuilt to a pristine business. I feel bad for the people running a restaurant on the side of it. This hotel is ruining their business. It is not worth saving a penny go a head and spend 300 dollars on a better hotel. Absolutely disgusting establishment.

This roach and rat infested crack haven is currently being prepared for demolition. What used to be the glorious Holiday Inn from Brownwood’s better days will be flattened to make way for probably more title loan stores and fried food eateries although hoping for a bourgeois bayou-side establishment.

Hotel has been closed for quite some time as of 2022. Not available. Edit 05/02/2023: The old Oyo appears to be under construction... perhaps it will be open again with some [badly needed] updates. Originally a Holiday Inn, its been standing for around 50 years. It's definitely time for those updates OR total demolition. Edit 08/10/2023: Appears they opted for total demolition. The historic place has been reduced to piles of debris that they've been cleaning up for weeks now. Can't wait to see what they do with the place! Safe travels all!

I DO NOT recommend this hotel at all. The floors in our room were filthy. The bathroom wasn't clean, there is water deposit on the faucets, the tub and sink drain VERY Slow, the shower curtain was Dollar Tree cheap and was torn but tied together. The whole place is run down. Very noisy. No trash can in the room. had to wait like 10 min for someone to come check us in. We wound up leaving and not even staying the night and slept in our truck.

Me and my sister got a room here and I stayed over night and my sister didn't. I went to sleep around 2am and woke up at 7 am with bedbug bites all over me. Both my eyes are swollen my lip is swollen and I have bites all over my back, legs, arms and stomach. When I got up at 7 I left and took the key back and the lady at the front desk took pictures and said that I will get a full refund and the manager should call well they never called and I never got the refund. It's a horrible place to stay.

Time and time again. Great prices for a less than accommodating stay. We were told today that we were no longer allowed to stay there because of cigarettes in a cup in the room, the cigarettes were smoked outside Amd I didn’t want to throw them on the ground outside(that would be trashy) so I took the burned out cigarette and put it in a cup. Also they don’t have cable, dirty towels in the restroom, no towels at all in the room and pillowcases? Ya.

It took them programing the keys three times before we could get into the room. There was no TV in the room, the bath tub had rust stains. And to if that's not bad enough uncovered electrical boxes with exposed wires. We where in the room for less than 5 minutes, went to the front desk to check out and get a fefund, they gave us a number to call, the customer service agent told us that it was the hotels responsibility to refund us but the hotel refused to refund us, stating that it was "Company policy that the hotel it's self couldn't on the site refund us our money". If I could give it no stars, I would. They almost ruined our Honeymoon.

I had a really bad experience staying at this hotel, first of all, when my husband and I got there, the people was very unprofessional. We asked for a king bedroom and the guy gave us 2 bedrooms, then one lady arrived( I think she was in break) and we told her that we ask for a king bedroom and she fixed but she spent a lot of time fixing it. Our second bad experience was the refrigerator had some groceries and smell bad because it was disconnected, no towels, no paper tissue, the room was dirty. We went to the front desk to let them know about the situation and they didn’t do anything. Just the next day the lady gave us 2 ugly towels. And we stayed there because the hotels around there were sold out. In other words this hotel is old and dirty wherever you go. If the City inspects it. It would close it down due to poor hygiene.

This place seems like it's being worked on but in the state it's in, it would be better if they just shut it down until they can achieve even a basic facsimile of what a cheap motel is supposed to be. At the very least, a motel should have clean towels in the bathroom. There were zero towels at all. Zero towels arrived upon request. I guess they just had zero towels period. I give them points for having clean beds as far as I could tell after inspecting for bed bugs. I found no bed bugs so thumbs up there but I'll have to take points off for things like a broken, mold infested mini fridge. Look, I get it if you are renovating your motel ; it desperately needs it. I just don't get how incomplete it really feels for what's there. The cleaning staff obviously doesn't care very much if there's mold in the non working fridge. That was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I also thought it was creepy that there were two motel buildings boarded up in the back. It looked haunted and very sketchy. I will be sure to avoid all OYO Hotels in the future because of the poor experience I had at this one. Disclaimer: I didn't stay here all night. I don't think anyone in the right mind would, to be honest. And just because it's a "cheap" motel, doesn't give it a pass to be so poorly maintained. I've stayed in far better managed motels for far cheaper than asking price and they actually had towels.

Upon my arrival, the employee clocking out, was discussing personal problems with a gentleman across the lobby. Completely inappropriate conversation in front of guests, including the previous nights partying. You can use your own colorful imagination. Secondly it took 3 attempts back and forth to the office to have my key card corrected. On the third attempt, the young lady taking over the evening shift, had left the office and rounded the corner next to my room. When she saw that the keycard was not working, she told me she could break in to my room by sticking the key card in the gap between the door and the frame. I did allow her to do so, only out of frustration of going back and forth to the office with my 2 year old. Once inside i realized the door did not close properly even while locked. I was too afraid and exhausted to go back to said employee, to ask for a refund. Instead i stacked every piece of furniture between the door and dresser to prevent a break in in the middle of the night. If you value your safety, peace and confort, you would stay at any hotel but this one.
