Very picturesque, nice place for family walks, dog walks, romantic walks, quiet, peaceful, even nice to lay down on a blanket and have a drink of cool lemonade xx

I did not quite know what to make of this place, it's a bit of a miss mash of everything ☺️. We followed Google maps to get here. It does take you to the entrance but this is not clearly signposted so just look around you can't miss it. You can also park on the road for free. The first part of the reserve is a forest with wide pathways which were a bit muddy so wellies are highly recommended ☺️ This part is not that big you can walk around it and in between in 20min. Once You reach the other end you'll see a bit of a clearing and a river. Please be careful as the banks are steep and the river deep. Continue walking and you'll see a bridge. Across it there's more woodland to explore, however this one is very dense. Now there are lots of signs at the beginning that say "no horse riding". Please just be very very mindful, especially if you have curious doggies, that horses are permitted on the pathways just not to be ridden on.

This little piece of heaven I didnt know existed. Shame about a load of trash in some areas. But otherwise very pretty and peaceful place.

Always good for a nice walk, especially with a dog or two. The weather is very grey and sometimes wet at the moment but it is always nice to get out in the nature and meet other people including other dog walkers.

Always a pleasant walk. Mind you it was muddy as hell after the rain and snow. We also enjoy watching the trainspotters going about their spotting.. There are some Geocaches here as well if that's what you are into.

There are several lovely places to take my dog for a walk but this is my favourite. It is on my doorstep and is somewhere that I go for reflection. This was my playground when I was a child so I know what an incredible job has been done to make it what it is today. Well done to everyone that has made this my little paradise.

Have only been here a few times, and found the routes interesting even if not we'll signed. As some of the routes aren't signed I did end up in a rather neglected place, but understand more work is being done to tidy up certain areas. There are some very nice areas and it seems well used by the locals, so would recommend you give it a try.

I like this place, it's big enough to keep a distance from others and it's not too muddy even though it's woodland.
