This place is packed full on saturdays, a reservation is most definitely needed! We reserved for Sunday dinner instead, which saw a lively crowd. Service was good and unhurried. Food was delicious and portions massive! We loved the rabbit and creme brûlée. There is a huge selection of beers, both their house beers as well as bottled beers.

During our walk through charming Bruges we almost forgot the time. It was already past lunchtime but luckily this place still served meals. Our Bulldog was welcome to come in as well. It's a really nice, cosy place. A place you feel like keep ordering beers, sit by the window and watch the world go by. Staff was friendly, recommended some good beers. Prices are quite fair and the beer was great indeed. For a starter we had the selection of "bitterballen". Veggie, meaty, spicy, creamy. A nice selection. Very good item. For the main we had the rabbit with apple sauce and fried croquettes. And the Fish stew with salmon, sole and shrimp. Fries with that. Price-wise both just a tad over 20 Euros. An ok price for a town like this. The fish was just ok though. We just came back from the coast of France and we've been spoiled with fresh fish and seafood for the past two weeks. So this one here couldn't hold up at all. But nicely cooked and presented. The rabbit on the other hand was a winner. I like rabbit and this one here was nicely prepared and well cooked. Nice match with the apples. A good choice. All in all a nice place to grab a beer and a meal. Food not perfect, but enjoyable. And the atmosphere and the beer are both great.

This place has a fantastic selection of beers, including 15 local beers on tap. I ate there twice and both times the food was both excellent and creative—the lacquered pork belly was perfectly cooked with a delicate balsamic and dried fruit sauce. I washed it down with a delicate waffle in powdered sugar and a side of dark chocolate sauce that was more flavorful than sweet.

Fantastic restaurant, their beef stew and cheese croquettes are incredible. I've had the rabbit as well which was super tasty, but I believe it might be a seasonal plate. The only down side is that they have only a small selection of vegetarian options available. Obviously, their selection of beers on tap is really good, some Trappiste beers on tap which is always very welcome. Service is also quite friendly. All in all super recommended

I’ve been wanting to try some fish waterzooi (stew) while in Belgium but most places seem to serve chicken. I found this place that served it, so we called on a Monday around noon to reserve for 1:30 PM later that afternoon. I am so glad we did because when we got there, there was still a bit of a wait, and shortly after we were seated, it was so packed that they were turning people away. I had the fish stew (with salmon, sole fillet, North Sea shrimp) and hubby had the Irish ribeye with garlic butter and French fries. The fish stew okay. There’s lots of fish in it and it’s very hearty. It does get a bit much after a while and you’ll feel heavy after eating it. I would definitely recommend splitting this with someone. The ribeye was nice, especially with the garlic butter. I appreciated the small side salad that same with it. Fries tasted liked your standard frozen restaurant fries. We also ordered cheese croquettes to start, but that didn’t come out until after we already started eating our entrees and by then, we were already kind of full. So we couldn’t really enjoy it and kind of just forced ourselves to eat it. Overall, I wouldn’t say the food is anything amazing. Service here is pretty slow. I’m not sure if it was because it was busy, or if it’s standard here. We even had a hard time getting somebody to take our order. That being said, if you’re in a rush, then you should probably skip this restaurant. It’s got a bit of tourist trap vibes.

Very busy and popular spot to get some food and Belgian beers. The food was good, slightly on the pricey side but expected for Bruges. The beer tasting was great, and the explanation given by the bartender was appreciated. The service was okay but we asked for bread to one of the lady serving food, she acknowledged it and then just never went to get us bread so we left without it, which was a shame cause we had garlic prawns and the oil would’ve been perfect to dip it in.

This restaurant is popular among local and tourists. So better to make reservation through call or walk in. Staffs are very polite and knowledgeable. Food 5/5 (very delicious, well seasoned and generous portion) Mussels are cooked with wine and comes with a huge bowl of fries. Flemish stew is very aromatic and the meat is very juicy and tender. Spaghetti are cooked well and instantly melt in your mouth.

What a lovely experience. We were weary of tourists traps offering typical Belgian food and we were RELIEVED Cambrinus was nothing of the sort. Excellent flavors, ambiance, and selection of beers. Will recommend to anyone visiting. Interior decoration is charming, alongside its servers.

Great beer selection. Very nice and friendly staff, with good even though stressed service. Happy kid, happy wifey, happy Joe. Well worth a visit to slay a quad-tray or two of their beers with a nice hearty meal. Beautiful and just great city overall.

Food was really tasty and decent sized portions. The service seemed rushed and the staff were not very welcoming or hospitable. The atmosphere was slightly weird, seemed like a good place for families. Overall food was good but the other aspects need improvement.

Nice beer garden with delicious food. My husband loved Triple Ename and La Corne (recommended by the waiter). We had truffle paste and fish stew for dinner. Both were tasty. I would strongly recommend people to make reservations. We saw people being turned away if they didn’t have a reservation. This place was super popular and very busy.

Absolute best place to visit in Bruges. Make sure to have a Reservation. Otherwise you will not be able to experience the extensive list of local bears and tasty food.

Excellent restaurant in the heart of Brugge. Staff was friendly to help, and food was tasty. Ordered the Brewers meal that came with beef stew, croquettes that were magically delicious, and a giant creme brulee.

We ordered Flemish Stew, it was really tasty and the portion was generous. The meat was tender as well. We tried the famous local beer Brugge Zot blond and brown, it was really tasty and flavorful and lives up to it's reputation. Please note it's better to reserve seats early.

It's a delightful dining experience. It's a warm, inviting atmosphere. It's got a great beer selection. If you're looking for exceptional dining, this is a must-visit. note: The service might take a while because it is quite busy here, but it doesn't affect my experience.

We dined at Cambrinus while we were visiting Brugge for holiday. We had their shrimp and Trappist cheese croquettes for starter. Both were well-made, breading was thin and crisp so you could taste the shrimp inside. As the main, we ordered the Flemish carbonnades, 1/2 chicken and the rabbit stew. All the meat dishes were tasty, they were well-seasoned and prepared. My favorite was the rabbit stew, it was prepared with their house beer Gambrivinus and plums, and they served it with potato croquettes. The croquettes were fine, the meat was tender and juicy. To pair with our food, we asked for a beer tasting, which I think was a pretty good deal for 4 people especially if you're not a big fan of beer. It's a great opportunity to try out their house beer. Overall, we enjoyed our meal. Their portions are generous, so it is a pretty good value for the money. We had no issues with the service, our food arrived fast as well. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is also charming, it has a long story dating back to 17th century so do read up on it on their website.

We managed to get a table without booking in less than 10 mins but the services on the table is super slow. The waiter/ waitress took 20 mins to order our food despite we have request to order our food for at least 10 times. I asked for recommendation and the waitress wasn’t helpful and just point on the menu and walked away. The food is good but wasn’t as tasty as we read in the reviews. We ordered a slice chicken and it’s quite salty to eat by itself without any drinks/beer. The onion soup is great and we loved it. Quite disappointed as I’ve read they served pork knuckle but they don’t do it anymore. Maybe tried to called before walk in to dine? Love the beer selection and it’s quite difficult to choose among so many options. They’ve another shop down the road just serving beer but overall it’s fine experience and wouldn’t come back again.

Well put together Belgian fare with an impressive drinks menu to pair. Don't worry if you're having trouble picking - the front of house staff are a delight and will help you in deciding. Fast service and short wait times given the capacity.

Amazing from start to finish. Beer: what can I say. Some choice bottles and on tap. Matched to our food. Food: starter of croquets easily the best I have had in Bruges. Scampi was in the most divine sauce. Mains the chicken with bacon and mushrooms was superb

Very busy place! Definitely need a reservation. Hundreds of beers in stock, with about 10 on tap. A wide variety of menu choices. Menu is in English, French, and Flemish. Food was very well prepared and quick, but not rushed at all. Servers seemed quite stretched thin and thus weren't exactly cordial, but weren't rude either. Just very matter of fact and quick. We ordered the draft beer sampler, but the bartender gets to pick the beers for you when they're busy! We liked the choices, though. We had the Flemish beef stew and the Filet Cambinus with spicy tomato sauce (note: the sauce has plenty of anise seasoning!). Both were delicious! They brought out a huge bowl of fries for the table to share, which were very tasty and super hot. We definitely recommend and would return!

This place comes highly recommended on most sites, and it’s mostly worth with the hype. Get there early or make a reservation as it does fill up fast. The beer selection is on point and the food was very good. Do keep in mind that this is the restaurant, the cafe is just a bit further down the road closest to the square.

Really nice and welcoming service. The waiters work hard and still keep a smile on. The only drawback is the price. It's popular and a lot of people couldn't get a seat so I see why they'd charge more than average.

This is a highly recommended and very popular place for some beers and lunch or dinner. The food and beer are excellent. Definitely recommend you do not miss this place if you are in Bruges. The burger is delicious and the fries are spectacular. It is always crowded so a reservation is highly recommended.

The food is delicious (especially the fries and mayo sauce!!) and the waiters give great customer service. We came here before the kitchen opened (it opens at 12) and were able to secure two seats. I would recommend reserving a table, because it is popular. This restaurant is absolutely deserving of five stars.

The food was great - try the rabbit or the chicken with mushrooms. Also the shrimp croquettes were delicious. The service is very slow - so plan accordingly.

Great selection of beers and the food is good. The Trappist cheese croquettes and Flemish Carbonnades were definitely worth trying. Right by the marketplace.

Absolutely loved our visit here. Fantastic feel to the place, stylish with a beer selection that just goes on and on. The ‘brewers set menu’ was really tasty, I even managed to pair each course with the beer it was made with. Friendly, attentive staff, reasonably priced. One tip: book in advance, very few walk ins available

Overall, best dinner and experience while in Brugge. Prices better than most restaurants. Lasagna and pheasant were both really good. Would definitely go back.

The food is great - I loved the Trappist cheese fritters and the mussels! The atmosphere is really nice and the beer menu is huge. Remember to book in advance.

Seems like they are not really responsive to online booking so if possible, give them a call. Nice atmosphere, the waitresses was super friendly and helpful, she gave us a detailed explanation of the beer menu which was SUPER LONG and you will be lost with how many types of beers that they serve. The menu has many classic dishes of the region. The fish soup was the best of the night, really delicious. However, the rest was quite average. The carbonnade was quite dry, the sauce was bland, the fries were frozen fries and weren’t well cooked so they were soggy and not crunchy.

Very busy and popular place, even on a Friday lunchtime. We got a table quickly but service took a very long time as they appeared under-staffed. Both beer and food was great. I would've tried some more beers if I could've got some service.

👍👍 It was an amazing experience! First time I tried not a sweet waffle and I loved it! The waffles were just how you would expect them to be: crispy outside and soft and delicious inside. The one with strawberries was an insane blast of taste. I will come back here again. Recommended!
