Do not go here! Awful service, overpriced and mediocre at best food, we were desperately hungry and still found it appalling. Staff were very rude with terrible mannerisms and made eating an uncomfortable and unpleasant experience.

This bistro was recommended by a local shop owner for its good food, ample seating and locals focus. They got it right on every point. We stopped in on a Friday evening, and it was filled with families and friends having their weekly get togethers. Even without a reservation, they seated us quickly. We had the option of the outside patio or inside, we took inside. Cosy and warm interior, with wood tables and plenty of candlelight. The staff is friendly and professional and constantly on the move. The Shrimp Scampi appetizer was awesome. My steak with fries and side salad was perfectly done, and my wife’s goat cheese salad was nice as well. Good selection of local beer and array of wine options. It was just what travelers, weary of commercialized eateries, wanted…some local home cooked fare in a nice atmosphere.

Lovely local restaurant with cosy atmosphere, efficient friendly staff and delicious food. I ordered the boulabaise and my husband ordered the cod dish Both super tasty.

I would suggest you to choose another restaurant than this. Food is ok but overpriced. The waiter are rude and have a "dont care" attitude.

Nice place, more locals than tourists so you know it's decent. If you are walking round the outside of the 'island' it's a good stop after the windmills for some refreshment (ie beer). Didn't eat but the food looked good!

Food were very good. We ordered spaghetti and cod fish, both were satisfactory. Orders were quite fast also. Service was good. They have outdoor area, which has quite a good view. In overall the location is not within the touristy area and the view is average. Has quite many tables so should be good to dine in without waiting. Toilets available.

Terrific location - a lovely 15 minute walk from the Belfry along some canals that helped work up an appetite. Service was friendly and understood I didn’t speak the language. English menu helped ordering. Wide selection of bistro food, beers and wine including daily specials. Highly recommend for a quality meal and experience.

Canalside location on the north edge of the centre. Plenty of seating inside and out. Friendly staff. Busy but managed to seat us without a reservation. Good selection of beers. Recommend the fish soup, plenty of chunky fish in a tasty broth. White fish was very well done and with tasty sauce. Thai prawn curry had large, juicy prawns. Felt that the ribs were tasty but not as moist as I'd have liked, don't fall off the bone. Burger was good.. Great fries with ribs and burger. Good selection for kids to choose from.

The food is good but nothing crazy. The fries are very good, though. the service is very bad. They made a mistake on the bill and correct it without trouble so I would rate it 2/5 The place is cozy and was not full so it was quite calm. Price are above average. 2 main courses (dover soles and beef) 2 drinks (1 cocktail 1 beer) 73€

stayed in Bruges for 4 nights, ate here twice - recommend the steak, good range of beer, friendly staff, multilingual.

Went here solo as an American tourist and sat at the bar. Had a great meal, great beers and great company. Very friendly service.

If i had the chance to rate a zero with no stars at all i would so that 1000 times, This is by far the woooorst place i’ve ever been treated with my husband and both my little kids around. We asked for drinks for later and ordered some mussels as a starters for now before we make up our minds for other food and the guy kicked us out saying he will not serve us for this order. We left the place he didnt even care and talked in the rudest way eveeer and we had the best experience of service/food/ same view in the market in the restaurant next to it. Pl Do not go there honestly such people should be closed for treating tourists who come to enjoy a family day out with this manner and attitude and temper.

Starter mix of sausage, cheese balls not tasty expensive 9.9 euro. Spareribs dry sauce dont fit with them, partner scampi thai .. Not a todo again.

We were looking for a place to eat waffles, and there were waffle places to go, but this restaurants has the most fantastic view of the square. The sound the the bells ringing every one in a while, creating a melody in the air. So we were hesitant as, straight up, the price is not cheap. However we thought why not give it a try, so we approached and the staff was excellent! Smiling and welcoming, we sat near the entrance underneath the gas heater which kept us warm on this crisp day. We quickly chose the waffles and the special hot chocolat. The waffles were great, crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside with a fantastic vanilla ice cream. The Nutella one did have a negative as it came in a little packet like in budget hotels, however that could be because they don’t sell many and keeping an open pot of Nutella probably isn’t the best idea. Then the drink, it was special alright, a massive surprise as it nearly knocked me off my chair. The special was a shot of alcohol to give it kick that will warm you right up. My fiancée could not finish it’s it was to strong for her. So why the five star? You might be thinking, One of the waffles was not perfect and drink was to strong. The reason is simple, I would put a 4 star for our meal, but the staff were brilliant, very kind and open to teaching you a little Dutch. I would recommend, just remember you are paying for the food and the location, you can soak up the atmosphere and just enjoy the moment.

Had breakfast here today and it was fine, nice tea and croissant. What impressed me the most was the price €9.50. Footsteps away at maridian 3 you will be more than double for a breakfast around €22. Left here happy

Brilliant tea room serving amazing waffles! The staff were all lovely and very accommodating. The waffles weren’t cheap (€7-€9 depending on the toppings you picked) but worth every penny as they were a decent size with generous toppings. Here is a picture before I greedily dug in! Hot drinks came with a very yummy biscuit. The only slight bad comment is the toilets are down some very steep steps so not good if you have any mobility problems. Otherwise go here and enjoy!

Yes! Good food and genuine ambiance. Prices ok too. A sit down, food and a couple of local beers was greatly received on a wet and windy November afternoon. Really didn't want to leave!

Nice place! It's a nice weather today in bruges so we were sitting outside in the sun and it was perfect! The place was busy well it was lunch time as well. The food was good and the staff were nice!
