The best place for fish and chips by far, on par with some places in the UK. Fish was well seasoned and had a light but crispy batter. Chips were nice and fluffy with a crisp texture. All the fish we had were fresh(we tried most of the different fish). Although with the high quality ingredients and cooking it is quite expensive but worth it imo.A must try, plus being deep fried it wasn't oily at all! So you won't feel guilty eating too much

Visited here last night for the first time. Very welcoming customer service. Helpful staff and good food. I ordered Saba Fish & Chips during buy 1 free 1 promo price, which cost only $10.50 and Deep Fried Lamb Burger with Fries 🍟 that cost $14.90. I am really satisfied with the portion size of the food that served with the right price. Quality wise πŸ‘Œ is good. The Saba Fist texture and taste are similar to Sardines, so expect an oily fish. I'll come back here again to try their best selling Fish 🐟 & Chips 🍟 from Haddock Fish. The atmosphere is so quiet that it probably makes you feel a bit awkward since the restaurant is homebased, and for me, it's like eating in someone's house πŸ˜… (plus the music volume is small)

Nice and quite homely place. Great food plus fried Mars bar to die for. πŸ˜‹ owners are very welcoming πŸ™ and add personal touch to the whole experience. The quality of ingredients is high as the fish and 🍟 is value for your money. The villa style dinning almost made me remember the fish and Chips experience in Maine, United States. Loved it to heart ❀️ πŸ’™ πŸ’œ. With the experience they served us its unfortunate there is no service tax.

18/05/24 the fish was heavily greased. i usually get headache when the food is very greasy and boy did i have a headache after have the fish and chips. the chips was quite thick. the amount of sauce provided was not propotional to the size of the fish and chips. the atmosphere is quite gloomy. layout of the dining area feels stuffy. could do improvement with proper signage and road markings for parking area.

Wow! Being British - we know a good fish and chips ! This is a very good fish and chips!!! It’s a little difficult to find the place but trust google maps and could do with some signage but totally worth the effort. The veggie burger and cottage pie are awesome too !

Fantastic Fish & Chips (We had the Cod always) as good as any we had in England! I never left a review before, but after reading some reviews here.. I just have to say something. My family and I, have been enjoying FeznCip food, since we arrived in Brunei last year, and have been more than satisfied with what we ordered. These guys, knows their fish & chips, and as a chippy owner in the UK, they are more classic style than most chippy in the UK. They also know their fish! They cook fresh, with the fish steaming in its batter case, with delicious chips! The dining area is just like most regular chippy in the UK, not some fancy Β£20 for fish & chips restaurant. Just keep it up FeznCip. Chef Bob, Brighton

Went looking for the Manggis business as the one in Gadong had shut down. Location was very difficult to find as premise is a secluded home, with no signage and close doors. It was a cold welcome to a bare small area with just chairs and tables. Since this is not a takeaway roadside stall, was expecting effort with the ambience such as basic deco, music, toilet accessories (or even wifi?). Anyway if the frills were not necessary, the core business came as a disappointment too.. The fish and chips and onion rings were soggy and extremely greasy! Deep fried mars bar included, that felt like a thousand-calorie meal and since price didn't come cheap, I couldn't say it was a worth-while meal overall. Sorry to say nothing like the UK fish and chip experience.

Very Good fish & chips, steaks & sandwiches. The burgers are like in 5 star restaurant. The Fish & Chips is like the ones in UK except their Tartar sauce is really good & free with Fish & Chips. The onion rings reminds us, like what we had in a steak house in Toronto. The steaks are ok, probably need better beef, but the cheesesteaks are like what we had in Chicago, Definitely worth it! Very quaint place, with one guy serving, very good & efficient. Overall, probably one of the best food experiences we have in Brunei. Place is hard to find, but we found it the first try with their detail instructions.

So very British Fish & Chips! The Chips are smaller in length but delicious all the same. Authentic as they come in Brunei. Keep it up!

It’s probably the best onion rings and fish and chips and definitely the hidden gem in the country. Ordered an onion rings , it was huge ,battery goodness , crispy crunch sweetness for every bite. Fish and chips , mahi-mahi fish and Atlantic cod both was good , again the batter done the job . flaky crispy out and moist in . Homemade chips was a little bit oily perhaps a pinch of salt and a slice of lemon will be good ,the tartar sauce was πŸ‘πŸ»

Best Gluten Free Fish & Chips I've ever had!! HIDDEN GEM!! Easily as good as some of the best chippies in the UK - and that's high praise. Crispy, light batter and soft juicy fish (haddock). Chips were great too. Crunchy skin but melt in your mouth after the first bite. Curry sauce was rich and gravy-like. Tartar Sauce was sweet, creamy and tangy. And you can refill and ask for more on demand. My family shared the normal fish& chips (at the back of the photo) and said it was really good. Service was very attentive and fast. The restaurant seems like it's a large converted house that's tucked away - but it adds to the charming atmosphere. I can't wait to try their roast chicken with gravy & yorkshire puddings, beef burger, lamb burger AND the deep fried mars bar. They also have a local Bruneian menu.

Best English fish and chips in Brunei, hands down. Decent selection of fish choices. Crispy and seasoned batter, nicely cooked fish, choice between two weights of fish, both of which are decent portions. English style chips may not be for everyone, like me, who leans towards shoestring fries, but I don't hate them at all, as these have a light, crunchy skin, with a soft inside. The staff were also very helpful in choosing a fish. My biggest gripe would be the parking and general access to the location.

Our family ate at this restaurant once and also had a takeaway meal. The fish and chips (we had haddock, halibut and red snapper) were extremely good and would not look out of place in a good British restaurant. The batter was light and crisp and all of us enjoyed it. A shout out to Khai the waiter who was very friendly and cheerful throughout.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. The food was decent but not amazing. Small pollock and chips is good value and a good portion size for kids. It may be a little small for a hungry adult. Chips are OK, and the curry sauce was very tasty. The fish was decent enough - the haddock was better than the pollock but also nearly double the price, so to be expected. Also tried the battered mars bar which was tasty and well cooked. The restaurant itself is very quiet so lacked atmosphere but that's quite typical of converted houses. It would benefit from some signage as it was a little hard to find. Overall, decent enough fish and chips for a brit abroad.

I would say this is most likely the best UK taste fish and chip in Brunei you could get.

OMG! Thank god we found this place while scrolling through instagram! If you miss or would like to try amazing fish & chips (especially if you miss UK's fish & chips like I do) then look no further :D Seriously worth the money and service was relatively quick! We had their cod fish & chips, deep fried mars bars & deep fried snicker bars!! It was just so delicious! Tartar sauce was really good I had to ask for an extra one! The cod was cooked perfectly and wasn't greasy at all! Seriously how do they do it?? Their chips is HANDS DOWN THE BEST EVER. There I said it. Can we talk about their deep fried mars/snicker bars? God, I had to restrain myself from ordering more. I'm definitely coming back to try the rest of their menu!! To Fez & Cip, please continue what you're doing! Thank you to the lovely & kind owners for making sure we enjoyed the food and for making us comfortable. It was lovely meeting you both :)

Ordered our Fish & Chips via a delivery service app, Fez & Cip, actually communicated with us, and kept us informed or the status of our order on top of the App! Totally AWESOME service! Our meal arrived and it was still hot! This was the second time we had Fish & Chips in Brunei and this have to be the best Fish & Chips, we had in Asia! Better than the hotel's Fish & Chips! Keep up the good work!

We were skeptical, when they say they were the best in Manggis Satu. We would now say, they are probably the best in Brunei and I would even say, better than some in Singapore! The Fish & Chips was very reasonably priced. Great cuts & Fillets, not paper thin, like in some places. The Cod & Haddock was just like what we had in the UK. The service was personal and exceptional, even with one server. Great Fish & Chips, Great Service! We look forward to coming to Brunei and having the best Fish & Chips, probably in Asia

A home-based eatery selling authentic UK-style Fish & Chips and other western delights; like Cottage Pie, Deep-Fried Mars Bar, etc. You can tell that they make their food with high quality and care. Best eaten immediately when the food is warm and crispy. Always call ahead to check if their food is available and so they can prepare for you fresh. Recommended for those who seek quality (possibly healthy) western food.

As good as it gets, the best fish and chips we had in our travels and as good as the the fish and chips, back home in Manchester. My wife is sensitive to gluten, and their gluten free option is good. (Not a gluten free kitchen, which they informed)

Claiming to be the best fish and chips in Manggis Satu, Brunei, which we think was a joke. (Read till the end) We are going to visit again, as we were distracted enough to not take pictures. The place is easy enough to find with the directions and Waze, we were greeted warmly by a happy girl and a guy who sports a wet hair look form the 80s. We were seated but decided to be difficult and asked to seat elsewhere and was obliged. We scanned the QR Code, the menu was simple and direct. Its a fish & chip shop, just like in the UK, simple menu. We ordered our Fish & Chips, Mushy Peas, & Curry Sauce, we ordered a Deep Fried Snickers Bar, as they ran out of Mars Bars, this was confirmed as we went everywhere to look for Mars Bars. More customers came and was again greeted happily (genuine) Took about 15 mins, but our drinks came earlier, the Ice Lemon Tea, was home made ICE COLD LEMON TEA! You know its not instant tea, and its definitely made from real lemons! SUPER GOOD on a hot day! They charged for ice, for soft drinks but I guess its fair, my friends' coke was ice cold anyway without ice. The Fish and Chips Came on White Dinner Plates and Mushy Peas and Curry Sauce came in a Ramekin. ITS HUGE for the price! (GREAT VALUE) Our seat was not in direct view and we took out our portable weighing scale and weigh the Atlantic Cod, they claimed its about 200g. It was 220g! We also asked for extra chips, and our plate was LOADED. The Haddock was 188g, the Halibut was 190g. These guys are serious. We have nearly a half kilo of food on our plates. The Fish and Chips was served with Tartar Sauce, (Lemon was chargeable), with Malt Vinegar and Salt on the table. The Tartar Sauce was refillable. That Tartar Sauce, words can't describe, it is definitely home made and definitely restaurant quality! TRULY SUPERB! I am ashamed to say, I even used it as a dip for my Chips. The Chips are fresh, and definitely not store bought, like they claimed, produced daily. Beautiful, albeit I guess with the hot weather, a bit sweeter, but delicious. (note : potatoes are sugar machines!) The Batter for the Fish & Chips..we all requested thin batter, and it was again superb, encasing the fish, it was a tad bit oily underneath but it was normal for hot fried items, definitely fresh from the fryer. The batter encased the fish perfectly, and have a satisfying crunch when cut, revealing white steaming flaky fish. Memories of the fish and chips, we had all over the UK, from corner shops to pubs and even posh fish and chips restaurants. The fish was EXCELLENT, someone definitely knows fish and chips here. Most places in Brunei have limited types of fish or serves Dory (Pangasius) or uses thin fillets. The fishes are of course $20+ each but, after calculation, it was CHEAPER compared to another fish and chips place. Other places makes the fish looks big, they used a thin fillet of fish, not even thick enough to see the flakiness of the fish) (We ordered a small (they said 100g) for take away, and was surprised it was also a thick fillet, and absolutely delicious, even after an hour plus) The Mushy Peas are genuine Mushy Peas, like in the UK, you can't fake that (Not some mashed up garden peas), and the curry sauce is very Northern Style of Curry Sauce, but we wished it was a bit more spicy, but it is a definitely UK Style Fish & Chips Curry Sauce. The Deep Fried Snickers, was..definitely deep fried snickers! IT WAS GOOD! After our meal, we went off to the beach, to enjoy and share our takeaway, and discuss our findings, definitely Fez & Cip, is NOT PROBABLY just the best Fish & Chips, in Manggis Satu, but definitely THE BEST FISH & CHIPS IN BRUNEI. Would definitely beat Singapore & Genting! We came to check their claims, but found they are GENUINELY the best fish and chips in Brunei. We are HUMBLED. Disclaimer : We are a group of foodies, with more than 70 years in F&B. We wanted to start a blog to anonymously review restaurants in Brunei, but Fez & Cip distracted us.

Hidden gem. Delicious fish & chips, roast chicken. Very friendly service. Best meal we had in Brunei. Visited again while on on trip to Brunel. Better than any fish and chips in Singapore! Tried their delivery, the fish batter was still crispy!
