We have booked a triple-bed room for one night, our host in Brussels dropped us at this hotel and helped us move our luggage to the room. The front desk suspected that we were four people using the room! He reacted in a very investigative and cheap way; he sort of interrogated me to find out. Never again!

Takes a little getting used to, but once you settle in it's great. A lovely hotel in the epicentre of Brussels. The breakfast is very good and very reasonable at fifteen Euros. Will definitely return not only to Brussels, but to the Hotel du Congres.

One of my worst experiences in a hotel! I would not consider this as a 3-star hotel! There was no air conditioning and almost zero sound insulation. The combination of heat and noise resulted in non-tollerable sleeping conditions!! Moreover the room was not clean: although the bathroom was OK, the rest of the room could be cleaned better. Additionally, a curl of hairs in one of my 'fresh clean' towels made my experience a lot worse. Unfortunately I had to book this hotel due to an unexpected business trip to Brussels. Due to the last minute booking this hotel was the only option in the area at an extremly high price!! Although the room was terrible, the staff was really helpful trying to do their best in such a terrible place

Hotel is at the finest location. Near to palace, citadel metro and trams. Near to this hotel we have nice cafes and also indian restaurant. Rooms are cleaned everyday. Bathroom is also tidy. Breakfast is also available at hotel on extra charges. Almost all attractions of Brussels are near to this hotel.

Rooms are tiny and there are no kettle, fridge, air-conditioning and coffee machine in it. Also the hotel does not provide water for free. The road from the windows is quite noisy so you will struggle slapping with opened windows in summer. The only pluses of the hotel are the good bathroom, wifi and clean rooms.

Great location, in a backstreet, close to lovely Place du Congress. Wonderfull old house with nice lounge. Good atmosphere . I was wondering about the painting behind the reception, but nobody knows from which artist it is. Has a nice room for Seminars.

Fly in bathroom upon arrival, very small rooms with no duvets or blankets Struggle to fit into the shower - very small Basically like a uni room not a 3 star hotel Hotel was not clean Staff unfriendly, you’d expect polite staff at a 3 star hotel Location and price are good. Overall, as bog standard as you’ll get

I checked in to the hotel today and my booking is for 2 nights when I decided to go somewhere the guy at the reception he didn't let me out of the hotel before he made me come to the reception area and questioned me thoroughly about where am I going and whether im coming back for the night and somehow he got a hold of my room key. And then refused to give it back for no reason i asked him for it and still refused to give it ( they close the outside door at night and I can't access it without the key ) he was being so rude and I asked him if he doesn't give me the key to the room I paid for in full then he should cancel it cause it doesn't make sense for me to have a room and this guy has the key I can't access it as it suits me and refund me he refused and asked me to check out before even the day ends. Worst and rudest receptionist I've ever came across I wouldn't recommend it even if it was for free!!

Despite very kind personnel, small rooms (mine was carved out from the stairwells!), low ceilings (I could easily touch it), very noisy (people walking on the above room as if they were in the room). To avoid

Nice hotel. Not very fancy but it is clean, location is good and breakfast is nice.

They put us in the building across the street from the hotel which has no reception, nothing! Looks nothing like photos. Run down rooms with zero amenities. It's basically like a hostel. No sound proofing so the interior is very noisy with people coming up and down stairs. I would stay elsewhere.

Highly overpriced. The room was tiny, loud and ~ EUR 180,- (!!) per Night. I cannot recommend to stay here. See photos below.

The location is very good, but the breakfast was mediocre and my room was right next to the elevator shaft and it was very disturbning also my bathroom was across the hallway.

Very overpriced. Just a simple room in a house across the street from the lobby. No elevator. Quite thin walls. I enjoyed the breakfast.

I’m surprised by some of the bad reviews. I will make this my new go-to hotel in Brussels. Staff was friendly. Our room was lovely- high ceilings and period details. The location is excellent- a real local neighborhood but walking distance from the touristy center and train station. Breakfast looked good although we didn’t use it. The one thing is that there is a lot of variety among the rooms. Some have retained authentic 19th century decor and ceilings- others are bland modern renovations. If you like peace and quiet, the ones in the courtyard dependance might suit you. Oh and it definitely has an elevator.

Very nice hotel located in the 2 old tenement houses. The room can vary a lot between each other. The yard is lovely and full of greenery. Very nice breakfast and the area to eat it. Very helpful staff (apart from 1 guy from the night shift). Very clean.

I have been guest of this hotel on a business trip to Brussels. As I was really tired after an early morning wake up I asked for a quiet room and I got one in the dependance. The room was up to my expectations, clean, spacious, properly equipped, with good wifi coverage and, of course, quiet, allowing me to sleep comfortably without being annoyed by traffic and other guests. The structure in itself is a bit old, but everything is properly functioning. Breakfast was good, I could find everything I wanted and coffee was much better than standard hotel black coffee. The location is perfect for business and leisure trips, metro is within walking distance and there are many restaurants and shops nearby. Taking into account the price that I paid for the two nights, I can recommend this hotel and I will take it into account for my future trips.

The room was small considering the amount I paid for it, but otherwise it was clean and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay overall.

Great hotel, fantastic location, we've walked almost the whole city, even with a children buggy. The rooms look good, there only not the biggest for 2 adults and a baby

Prepare for narrow beds and uncomfortable pillows. I had bad luck and a sledgehummer noise on the street in the morning. Next time try onother place. Breakfast ok.

The Room is spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff was very helpful and polite. The bad side is that there is no elevator in all sections of the hotel. The TV is mounted too high on the wall so viewing experience could be better.

Very nice and welcoming hotel in a nice location in Brussels. We stayed for one night on a weekend, the hotel is being remodeled to a very nice, clean, modern but cozy environment. The commom spaces are beautiful and calm and the service is good and effective. Rooms are nicely sized, very clean and well equipped. Nothing much but all what’s needed from a hotel. Prices are also reasonable, only problems for us where the heating in the room (way too hot) which was not controllable, and a noise from the upstairs bathroom. Still a very recommendable place for a lovely stay in Brussels.

Nice hotel for a good price just 15min from the city centre. Rooms are clean and staff very polite. Breakfast is a little bit poor, but was ok...

Could be a lovely hotel except for a few snags! Firstly I asked for a pack lunch which they don’t normally provide, but reception ensured that something would be provided, the night guy knew nothing about it so just gave me a bottle of water and a banana 🍌!! Secondly, at breakfast the young waitress wasn’t the most welcoming and I felt like an inconvenience to her, I got myself some cereals but couldn’t find a spoon.. I asked her for one twice before she reluctantly finally gave me one.. by the time I left there was still half an hour of service to go Thirdly, there is major renovations going on in the hotel, so where I stayed on the second floor there was a hive of activity with builders so impossible to sleep in the afternoon before my next trip that evening. Apart from all that the hotel is beautiful and old and once these few problems are solved I’m sure that it’ll be great. A short walk to the palace, cathedral and grand place with restaurants very close by will make it popular I’m sure

Nice rooms, they were remodeling when we got there and still everything seemed really clean. The prices are good but they didn't offer breakfast. For a few days it's a good place for a good price. Recommended

Very nice hotel, great location between city centre and business quater (both up to 10minutes). We got probably worst room (ground floor to the street), but even them werent so bad. Extremely great receptionists! We met three and all so friendly, helpfull, professional. Breakfast good, starts early.

A nice surprise! The hotel staff is great and helpful. The rooms are quite nice and the location is frankly excelent (you can visit almost anything by foot). The only downside is that the rooms (at least the individual room) has no Air Conditioning - in hot days in can also become a bit hot inside.

Expect: comfortable beds, excellent location, nice staff that will happily store your luggage, great surrounding bars and cafes, complementary fans. Cons: could not get late checkout as they were fully booked, the stairs are a bit odd to maneuver, no air conditioning for those who need it, the bathroom door was a sliding door that left little of what was going on inside to the imagination. It was overall worth the rate we paid for to be close to the city center.

Good price but room is okay, nothing fancy, some things are not nice (e.g. bathroom can't be locked, bathroom doorknob missing, room has am old atmosphere). If you just want a place to sleep it's good.

Good hotel, confortable and clean rooms. It's very quiet, we slept very well. Also the staff is so efficient, it took exactly 5 minutes to do the check-in and 1 minute to do the checkout, this is a very important point for us when in holiday to not lose time or have unnecessary complications with hotel processes. It's not so central, but of very good price for its location (also close to the train/bus station - 20min walking), and their is a direct by from Brussels Airport.

Renovated hotel, but it has the weirdest room. Okay if you are on budget but you can get much better in the same price. Make sure they don't put you in the annex room 100, it's so depressing and you will hear your neighbors like you are with them

Lovely place, super clean, lacks a lift to higher floor where are our room was situated though. Room very modern and spacious. Limited breakfast options.

Nice location with lovely cafe around the hotel area. Walking distance to shopping areas and hotel was friendly and perfect for our stay.

The hotel is in a nice building close to the center. The staff is kind and welcoming. A single room is modest, clean and pretty much all you could want. Breakfast is good - you have a decent choice of sweets, salami and cheese. Good internet connection is also a big plus. As I saw, the hotel is popular among families with children, which is also a good sign for me. Price was acceptable, especially with the constant rise in Brussels. I would come again.

I would not stay in this hotel again. Before I share my experience let me start by mentioning things that the trip advisor web site states that this hotel has or service/s it provides and it does not. It does not provide currency exchange. I tried to get some currency exchanged I was told that don’t do it. I even asked if they would have change of 50 euros and the answer was “no”. A safe is listed in room feature on trip advisor web site which I did not have in my room. Now my experience: We checked in the hotel on August 14, 2023. At the check in we were told my room has a portable A/C unit but there is a pipe that goes from the back of the A/C to outside so the window has to be kept open when the A/C is operating (picture attached). This unit is only good if you are in front of the unit. Next good news I was given that my room is across the street from the main entrance of the hotel. It is on the 3rd floor (4th if you live in United States) and there is no elevator/lift so we will have to carry our suitcases to the 3rd/4th floor. When we went inside the room what we saw was like an attic converted into a room (some pictures attached). I did not see a room looking like what I was given in any of pictures they have on their web site (please see the pictures attached). The room was dirty with chips under and around the bed. It did have a small flat screen tv with one tv channel. The shower area was small, so some people may have problems once they close the shower door. If you want to roll the dice and still stay in this hotel then good luck to you.
