😠 If I could rate zero star, I would have. I was being served a freezing and hard cold grilled lobster and being lectured on how freezing cold is the best condition for 'grilled' lobster. As a punishment for not appreciating freezing cold lobster, my serving plate was confiscated immediately together... People often mention restaurant, good, tourist, soup, Belgian, staff, shrimp, lobster, price, expensive,

If I could rate zero star, I would have. I was being served a freezing and hard cold grilled lobster and being lectured on how freezing cold is the best condition for 'grilled' lobster. As a punishment for not appreciating freezing cold lobster, my serving plate was confiscated immediately together with the unforgettable lobster. No food for ignorant customer. This restaurant is highly recommended for those that appreciate freezing cold grilled lobster and the highly priced subpar seafood. Yummy!

It is very bad. It is the most bad of pasta I ate in my life. Take care not to pay the waste. Do not make the same mistake as me. The clerk will invite you first, but do not respond to the invitation.

Please don’t go this restaurant!!!! The food is disgusting and unpalatable that the price is too expensive and not reasonable. We saw the menu board noticed they have promotions for dinner (main dish is 15 euros) however we don’t have have this promotion, we got the “tourist menu” and the price is higher than “local menu”. Actually we don’t mind the price if the food is good but we only get the worst food. The soup costs 12 euros and totally tasteless. I have to say I very regret to have dinner in this restaurant. PLEASE DON’T GO THIS RESTAURANT!!!!!!!!!!

IT'S A TRAP. DON'T GO. The food was stinky and smelled REALLY BAD. I feel sad for the fish that was not cooked properly. It cost 89 Euro for mixed seafood which smelled really really bad. There was no one else except us.

The food was not that good, but also not that bad as the reviews either. The rivalry between restaurants in that location is high so they will "lure" you with price discounts so that their store look crowded. I also got some discounts and free waffle and wine. You can get 10 of the waffles from supermarket for 1 euro which is, in my opinion, a ripoff. The mussels and the seafood platter were good.

We just arrived in Bruxelles and started our walk around town searching for a taste of Belgium and found Chez Remy, and what a find. Down the first street (rue) dividing the St Hubert - Grand Place gallery you’ll find this easily. We were greeted into this French/Belgian style restaurant over two or three floors with restaurants on either side of the rue. The waitress serving us was very pleasant and friendly, putting up with my horrible attempts and French. The menu is extensive with many options in Belgian traditional, French and others. We ordered the garlic and white wine mussels, the crème with white wine, the rabbit in bier jus and the vol au vent. For our first meal in Bruxelles this set the scene of expectation for things to come, with delicious flavours, seasoning, size and freshness. Out doing my expectations of Belgian cuisine I was very pleasantly surprised and impressed. Bring extremely close to the action of pretty much everything make sure you get to here to truly enjoy Belgian cuisine at its finest (cafe style), to perfection

Trial tourist trap, avoid. Hilariously, I saw the waiter during their opening hours pick up food in one of the neighboring restaurants - meaning that they either don't cook themselves, or that he doesn't trust their own food. Needless to say that every restaurant around is also cheaper. On the upside, the neighborhood has some great food places

TOURIST TRAP! We walked by here after another restaurant was full and really regretted it. The food was overpriced and bland, the waiter took forever, and at the end, he would not give me my credit card back until I tipped him €10. Awful, awful awful. Just see the other reviews that are also bad.

The staff are really friendly and they speak multiple languages, including Portuguese. The food was good, for the price it is worth trying. We looked at the reviews after ordering, so, our expectation were low, however it turned out to be good. Just the only thing their credit card machine wasn’t working…

It was just ok. Not bad, not as expensive as others say. Just ok. I honestly had higher expectations but you can tell ingredients are fresh. Fries could be better, not cooked the Belgian way, the sauce for the meat could be way better. Maybe with a bit of love and good attitude it would be better.

Just a tourist trap. The waiter approaches you being friendly and then when you get inside the prices are high. They get very hostile when you don’t fall into their expensive trap. Just avoid it.

Food was well cooked, portions was big. The seasoning could have been a little stronger but overall food was good. Service seems on the less attentive side but is available at request. The atmosphere is a little dated but it fits in with the area.

Ripoff!!! Disgusting 🤢 food It’s always empty Not even belgian I got food poisoning I ordered a salad i got a disgusting tomato soup instead Even a canned soup would taste better Not sure how they are still in business Probably because the guy outside keeps begging people to go in at every passing They lie about everything even water They charge you for bottled water but get you tap water. You can tell from the rust on the bottle Their paella is the worse ever. Tasted like warm leftovers with some shrimp missing parts 27 Euro for the most disgusting dinner I’ve ever had. At the end they say they don’t take card payment only cash . Another lie…. Worse of all they made me wait for an hour so that passing by people don’t think the restaurant is empty So they used me as an advertisement I heard them joke about it. Little they knew i spoke their language They’re not belgians

(That should have been my 1st clue) He told they had a special. $15 € He had a sheet with pictures. We pointed at the pic, again he said 15€. So we go inside show the waiter the pic and tell him we were told 15€. He says ok. Comes back with our food. We get bill..... they charged us 25€ !!!!! They are liars, they hustle you off the street with lies, then rip you off. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

The food wasn't worth it. I had the fish soup and duo shrimp & cheese croquettes. There wasn't hardly any fish in the soup and had some fish flavor but don't expect any chunks of fish meat. It was almost like a thick broth. The shrimp croquettes I feel I was cheated on. It hardly had any shrimp in it. It was just this orange like gooey stuffed in the croquette that had some shrimp flavor but no actual shrimp. I paid 41 euros for the meal including a Belgian beer which to me wasn't worth at all. I know it's located in the tourist area and prices tend to be higher but come on, if you just gonna overcharge, make at least some effort in making your food good or descent. Service was so so. I had to wait for my second entree considering I was one of 2 customers in the restaurant. That should already tell you something if they lack customers. The staff was not always present and they disappear. I had to call their attention to get my 2nd order as it shouldn't take that long when the place is pretty much empty. I was foolish to dine there and I'll charge this not worth my tourist dollar to experience.

Had a great deal of difficulty getting the staff to notice us. Food was no more than 'OK'. A shame, we had high hopes of this place.

A nice restaurant street but don't let it fool you. The food is mediocre, a bit cheap on portions but still expensive. You can find better in brussels easily. Credit where it's due, they stay open late in the afternoon

Terrible experience .. unfortunately we didn’t leave once seated, which we had contemplated after waiting some time for an actual menus - we should have trusted our gut feeling. The staff were not friendly or professional at all. Our food was below average and not worth the visit. The paella was rice, peas, 2 squid rings and mussels; lasagne was just full of cheese; chicken dish was cooked via microwave. When paying they suddenly wanted cash only and proceeded to give dirty looks and became quite rude. We do not recommend eating here!

The worst paella I have ever tried it was absolutely tasteless and had no protein at all. The prices in this place are ridiculously expensive, mostly the drinks. Im really sorry for you if you got to eat at this restaurant because of ignorance. This restaurant is a scam. Edit: The service was pretty bad, the waiters had a hostile attitude towards you. They only accept cash and give no receipt.

It should be criminal not to know how to cook a steak properly and should be criminal to charge 16 Euro for probably the worst lobster soup I ever had. Waiter was kind of rude. Didn’t give me a flight special that was clearly on the menu.

Terrible, DON'T GO HERE, we both got food poisoned which ruined our day. Drinks are extremely expensive (€3 for a glass of flat water) and service super slow. We waited 1.5 hours for our main course while there were only 2 other tables. Total tourist trap, never coming back.

Lobster soup (€16) was extremely diluted and had no meat. Food was served warm. Beef stew looked unappetizing but tasted pretty good! Service was fine for me, but I noted an unpleasant exchange towards another customer. Receipt was also not provided either, just a handwritten note stating our order items and amount to pay. No tips requested. Overall a decent but touristy experience - 2.5stars.

Very recommended place by me! I don’t understand why this place has such bad review. I had mussels and they were delicious. My partner had steak and it also tasted great. Good atmosphere as well :) cosy place because of the fireplace :)

Just like the other guests, we were convinced by a staff that the restaurant is fine. To be fair, 18€ set menu seemed too good to be true. The food was okay, we ordered only one set with shrimp croquettes and a chicken casserole. It was salty and I could tell that there was something off with the value of the food. I don't think it's worth it. The service was kind though. To be honest, I don't think I would have been too upset if I didn't feel like my partner was uncomfortable eating or that we were given a deal just to fill the restaurant with patrons.
