A
transformative
journey
began
for
me
one
year
ago,
at
Yyoga,
and
has
become
a
bedrock
for
my
personal
development.
✨
From
that
first
yoga
session
one
winter
evening
at
the
studio
to
now,
with
over
200
hours
of
consistent
practice,
the
transformation
within
my
body
and
mind
has
been
profound.
The
studio
has
proved
to
be
not
just
a
cosy
place
to
strengthen
and
bring
peace
to
my
mind
and
body,
but
an
ideal
community
for
me.
Their
welcome
deals
also
were
definitely
hard
to
resist.
I
get
the
question
a
lot,
"Why
yoga?"
The
answer
lies
in
its
embrace,
where
I
discovered
a
practice
that
speaks
to
the
unspoken,
grounded
in
my
elemental
framework.
My
first
push
was
a
tempest
of
traumatic
events
that
engulfed
my
life
around
one
year
before
stepping
into
the
studio.
Traditional
talk
therapy,
though
effective
in
engaging
the
mind,
often
fell
short
in
relieving
the
survival
state
in
my
body.
Meditation
on
its
own
didn’t
sustain
the
inner
peace
I
was
seeking.
The
pages
of
"The
Body
Keeps
the
Score”
illuminated
a
roadmap
to
recovery.

Yoga
became
one
approach
in
healing
that
grounded
me
in
a
transformation.
At
that
time
I
was
going
to
a
regular
gym
doing
strength
training
but
in
retrospect
I
was
only
adding
tension
and
injury
to
my
body.
My
attraction
to
yoga
wasn't
steeped
in
its
ancient
allure
or
promise
of
a
spiritual
transformation.
It
was
a
pragmatic
choice
grounded
in
scientific
facts
of
it
releasing
burdens
between
the
mind-body
connection.
Consistent,
regular,
varied
yoga
practice
has
improved
my
physical
condition
in
terms
of
core
muscle
strength
and
posture.
💪🏽
With
yoga
I've
danced
with
the
elements.
Each
session
represents
a
symphony
of
body
movement
and
breath.
I
found
groundedness
from
my
mat
-
the
earth.
Practices
such
as
hatha,
wall,
restorative,
and
yin
yoga
have
embodied
the
passivity
and
strength
I've
gained.
🪨
In
Vinyasa
flow
classes,
I've
learned
to
move
like
water—flowing
through
poses,
feeling
without
resistance.
I
accepted
and
released
heavy
emotions,
acting
as
a
soothing
balm
to
my
inner
peace.
🌊
Pranayama,
or
mindful
breathing,
is
my
anchor,
in
both
active
and
passive
practice.
Inhaling
positivity,
exhaling
weight
I've
carried
for
so
long.
🌬️
Hot
yoga
and
hot
flow
classes
in
heated
rooms
have
allowed
me
to
sweat
it
out—a
ritual
of
letting
go.
The
heat
mirrors
the
internal
fire
burning
past
struggles.
🔥
At
Yyoga,
simplicity
is
the
language,
where
teachers
are
kind,
gentle
yet
challenging
in
practice.
For
me
it’s
not
about
namastes
and
cosmic
forces.
It’s
about
the
basics
of
groundedness,
fluidity,
and
breathing
transformation
and
Yyoga
has
fostered
this.
🌌
Yyoga
has
proved
to
be
a
community
of
belonging
and
authenticity.
Its
queer-friendly
space
radiates
a
relaxed,
playful
vibe.
The
superdiversity,
from
young
to
old
with
people
of
many
different
backgrounds,
at
the
studio
opens
opportunities
as
well
in
deepening
interpersonal
experiences.
🏳️🌈🦄
Massive
appreciation
to
the
compassionate
founders
and
teachers,
Colin
and
Robbie,
who
have
created
a
space
that
feels
like
home.
Special
gratitude
extends
to
the
incredible
teachers
–
Hugo,
Jeannette,
Michael,
Monica,
Gilles,
and
Morgan.
🙏🏽
In
addition
to
practising
at
the
studio
I
have
joined
two
Yyoga
retreats
set
against
serene
and
raw
landscapes.
The
first
one
in
Kefalonia
🇬🇷
in
the
summer
and
then
in
Tenerife
🇪🇸
in
the
winter,
added
profound
layers
to
my
journey
at
Yyoga.
🏝️✨
Immersed
in
the
healing
embrace
of
nature
and
community
outside
Brussels,
these
retreats
became
spaces
for
deeper
reflection,
growth,
and
a
renewed
connection
to
yoga's
core
principles.
Yyoga
is
more
than
a
studio;
it's
a
home
for
those
seeking
solace,
strength,
calm,
growth,
and
connection.
Grateful
for
a
transformative
year
and
eagerly
anticipating
the
symphony
that
will
continue
to
play
within
Yyoga's
welcoming
walls.
