Good food and drinks. Very friendly staff and excellent service.

Oh my goodness!!!!!! Fresh fresh fresh seafood and some very unusual and authentic food offerings. This was MORE than we could eat. I’ll get the relleno next time for sure. The location is ideal, can’t go wrong either inside or beach seating. I love this restaurant. The employees seemed truly proud and happy to be there. I can only assume it’s because the food is so, so, so good and wow! What a beautiful location Gracias, Karen and thank you Mauricio for recommending. The beach is pristine and area totally laid back. I’m so pleased I dined here.

Delicious food in a very cool location right on the beach! Bucerias is such a cool and vibrant town, and we were so happy to have lunch here. The guacamole and fish tacos were both amazing! The food took a little while to come out, but that is just because they are busy and so popular.

Karen's place has been a staple of the Bucerias area for 25 years. It is a beach restaurant and bar that is definitely one of the bright spots of cuisine in the area with amazing views of the ocean and the sunsets. We have been there for breakfast, dinner, and sometimes just to have a drink and to take in the scenery. That all being said this place is expensive for the area but it is worth it with the level of food quality and the service provided. English and Spanish speaking. The owner (Karen) is usually on location and greats her guest with a smile and engaging conversation. If you are looking for a great or romantic evening dinner on the beach this is one of the main places to go in Bucerias.

Absolutely loved it. Understated from an aesthetic standpoint. The filet mignon with mashed potatoes and green beans at $22 was absolutely outstanding. We were shocked, shocked, shocked at how good it was! Service was also really good. Please pardon the partially eaten steak. We didn't think about taking a picture until we tasted it!

We had heard great things about this place, so had to check it out. Food and service were great! It's a little more upscale as far as food and maybe not so much a traditional place. Kind of Italian/Mediterranean/Mexican fusion? My only complaint is the drinks- absolutely terrible. They seemed very watered down and just no flavor at all. Huge disappointment

Smack dab on the beachside - a fairly touristy spot with nice options for food (a little pricey but it IS right on the beach), and the usual selection of beers and cocktails. Tried a super strong and delicious margaritas with the avocado with prawns. Both fit the beach vibe perfectly. Also ordered nachos to go for our friends who devoured them after an ocean dip. Tons of toppings and jalapeños.

We had our wedding at Karen's place two weeks ago. It was amazing! Karen is so sweet, helpful and detailed oriented. She did an amazing job for my wedding and I just can't thank her enough. All the guests are happy and everything went smoothly and beyond what I expected. Food are awesome! If I could give her a 1000 stars, I would.

The food was fantastic at Karen's Place. The steak was incredible, the coconut shrimp was great, and the fish fillet was very savory. The only disappointment was the wait time from the point of ordering to the point of receiving food.

This place is a MUST if you are in the area. While we were staying in Bucerias we went here like 5 times. We met Karen she's so sweet. We thought about going to another place but the food there was so good! The Eggs Benedict is to die for and my husband couldn't get enough of Karen's smoothie. Thank you Karen you're the BEST!!

There are not enough words to express how amazing Karen and Karen’s place is! We had our wedding at Karen’s place and It was the most amazing and magical experience. Our guests are still talking about It and said it’s the best wedding they have ever attended. Everything was beyond perfect all thanks to Karen! And the food! Omg the food is unreal and the service is even better!

Excellent meal, excellent service and the view?? Wow. This place is fabulous. Had the Riviera chicken. Delicious. I will.come back here again before I leave. Edit: came back and had the filet Mignon. Green beans are delicious, mashed potatoes had a wonderful texture and the steak was not only perfectly cooked but was delicious. Once again, impressed. And once again, what a view. My favorite restaurant in Bucerias for the view alone. But the food is good too. Their steak knives are horrible lol. I could have cut it with a butter knife in the same time. That complaint aside, when I move here it will be a regular stop for me.

March 19, 2022 Dinner: this was our first visit for dinner, and our party of 4 enjoyed a wonderful sunset as well as an excellent dinner and service. Lunch at Karen’s; always great quality food and service. Beautiful location on the beach. Lucky to have such a great restaurant in Bucerías.

Karen’s is great but is a little pricey. The fish tacos are delicious (both grilled and tempura) and very filling. The tofu bowl and bruschetta were my favorite, and they have two for one drink specials on certain cocktails from 3-5pm. Great ambiance, great location right by the beach, and the wait staff are very friendly. I will say the service is very slow which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Took 15 minutes after I was seated to get a waiter to take my order, and food was slow coming out. Over all I’d definitely come back.

Great place! Been here many times and tried so many items and they’ve all been great! Friendly service, beautiful view on the beach.

Really enjoyed our dinner. We had beers and cocktails, chips and guacamole, ribs and fish tacos. Everything was really fresh and delicious. Service was free at and we loved the live music.

Tasty food is an excellent beach front location. Service was a bit slow in early January but the restaurant empties by 4pm. Everyone seems to order the shrimp or fish tacos and leave nothing. The chile en nogada was good too. My burger was very good. Only complaint was the incessant annoyance from public vendors coming from the beach to sell their wares.

A nice place A good food A nice atmosphere Dogs allowed I had breakfasts and a brunch. For those who want to spend their monies wisely there are places close by you only need to look around😉😄

Very nice place right on the beach, food was great. The service was also very good. A must to grab a snack or drink to get out of the sun!

Very good beach location. Tasty food. Good service even when busy. The price of my favorite omelette has gone up by just over 10% since last week though.

Great place for lunch and dinner. Good food/drinks at reasonable prices with helpful staff, especially Karen herself! The beach side location is wonderful, day or night. Would highly recommend a visit if you are in Bucerias area.

Was staying at Flamingos and decided to walk down the beach to Karen’s for lunch after reading the great reviews. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Had drinks, salads and the vegan bowl and everything was excellent. We’ll make another trip down there before we leave.
