I cannot recommend personally. Objectively, the good side of this hostel is location - close to the river, centre and other attractions. Recepcion staff was also nice. Bad sides: I was robbed, despite the room was closed and exclusively rented for myself. No physical force signs of robbery at the doors. Interesting, huh? Hostel takes no responsibility for any loses, so it is better to watch your stuff and do not trust closed doors. Also, the rooms are not very clean - plenty of dust on the floor and under the bed. I would not choose this place again for staying.

The receptionist were lovely and very helpful. The location is pretty nice! Close to the river and not far from city centre. The rooms and common areas were pretty clean and set up well. My only problem was that two of the three showers in my building didn't drain very well. So you may end up standing in someone else's leftover shower water. The free breakfast is also pretty underwhelming. Overall though, for the price you pay it is not bad.

Great, friendly staff. Cozy environment - really makes you feel at home. Excellent cleanliness. Great location situated a stones throw away from Margaret island and the Parliament. Just steps away from the tram station. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay while in Budapest!

We had a good stay at Home Plus Hostel. The location is a little more far out of the city centre than some other options, but still well walkable to most of Budapest's sights. The dorms featured beds with curtains for the lower bunks which is always a nice feature. There is a lot of street noise if the windows are left open (the stop is right outside). The price was reasonable with some breakfast included (pretty average) with a common room and kitchen available. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful.

Well the price is good and it also included breakfast. I didn't expected much. I stayed in quite a few hostels. The room arrangement was terrible. The reception was just outside of my room. Also the kitchen and common area were just the corridor down. So if someone checking in, listing to music on the sofas, cooking something in the kitchen, you will hear that in your room! That gave me the feeling to be in huge shared flat. It's not possible to have a afternoon nap or just quite stay in this hostel. I also didn't liked that the sinks in the bathrooms where too small. What I liked was that the beds have curtains and wood boards to separate it from the other beds, it's like your bed is your little own room. It is true that the rooms are pretty dark but I didn't mind. Maybe they changed locations because its another house number and the pictures are not actual. Its located close to the olpmic park, the parliament and riverside. The staff is friendly, but I had the feeling everything was unprofessional.

The staff was amazing- super friendly and helpful! The hostel is clean and very easygoing. Kitchen is a bit small, but usually it wasn't a problem. Andrew the owner made us feel at home. As the location is really good and prices are fair, home+ should be your first pick for a hostel in Budapest.

Very good location; right next to tram stop. Enough restaurants to get a bite. Also walking distance from the parliament building and more. Cleanliness is fine. Breakfast is good (and free). However, your door might not be able to be locked. So safety for your stuff is not guarantee.

The rooms are a bit too crowded with little to none walking area between the beds and wall. The staff is friendly and ready to help 24/7. The showers could be a bit cleaner and the restrooms are way too small. The location is amazing and all the famous attractions are within walking distance.
