I would highly recommend this hotel. Our flight into Budapest was delayed so we arrived in the middle of the night and the staff were fantastic. They were incredibly helpful recommending things to do and you can even store your luggage for free on your check out date as well as ask the staff to organise you a taxi to the airport. The room itself was a very good size, the shower was a standard size with amazing water pressure. There is a hairdryer but I didn’t use it as I brought my own and they also provide little shower gels and shampoo. It is in a perfect location and wasn’t expensive to stay here. 100% would recommend!

We celebrated my wife's 30th birthday at the hotel between 5-9.3.2023 and stayed at the hotel. We will recommend the hotel. The service at the reception was very pleasant and inviting, the rooms are large and very clean, the staff is very clean and nice, the breakfast is very tasty. We really enjoyed the hotel. We recommend staying there. Cheering from Israel 🇮🇱

The plus sides: the location is very good, the surroundings of the building very quiet. The rooms are nice and very clean. The bed was super confortable. The range of food at the breakfast is definitely enough. The staff is nice and helpful. The down sides: it's a four stars hotel, I would have expected some extra toiletries in the bathroom. The bar closes to early and the lack of snacks is annoying. Mini fridge in the room but empty... What's the point? Why is there a difference between the prices of the SPA massage online, at the reception and in the flyer in the room? Talking about the SPA, the rules are not respected by the guests, some were naked in the jacuzzi, some were eating in the relax zone... Rules are to be enforced. Overall a good stay, in a nice room, with nice staff. I would argue on the 4* concept, to my mind we are closer to a 3*+. But I would recommend this hotel anyway

The hotel is well located, just a few walking minutes away from the main city with good restaurants and bars. Unfortunately, we noted that the room and especially the bathroom was not clean at all - Dust behind Toilette, dirty toilette seat. When a room clean was requested, the hotel promised us they will take care of it during the day but when we arrived back to the hotel in the evening, either nobody took care or the cleaning staff did not do the job properly and no one checked it. Very disappointing to be honest.

This was a lovely hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Still actually here at the moment and loving it. Very near to everything such as shops, hop on and off buses, are great, port 10 minute walk over the bridge. Breakfast was lovely and very good, anyone who complains is just fussy. Thank you everyone here. You work so hard.

Good breakfast. Nice room, but housekeeping is not perfect. Spa = small dry sauna and small jacuzzi. 7 min walk to metro station and bus stop of 100E express to aeroport

The staff at hotel museum were very friendly and vary helpful. The rooms were clean and of a reasonable size for our needs. The breakfast table catered for all kinds of taste and appetites. The only criticism, if it is one, is would like to see coffee sachets available in rooms as well as more breakfast tea sachets and some milk. Purely a British taste.

Great small hotel, great value for the price! Rooms can be smaller but nothing wrong with them, all is clean and new. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location, parking on the street is cheap. Recommend!

Cons: Rooms- The sound isolation is terrible. I couldn't sleep because of the doors slapping. Spa- nobody's there to control is there enough towels, and people walking in with shoes on... There is no slippers in hotel/spa.. Pros: location is great, hotel is nice, rooms are nice, staff polite, food is very good 👍...

    - We had cigarette smell in our room. We asked for new one, the receptionist told us that they didn't have any available rooms. - There was a huge difference between picture of the room on booking websites and reality. - No AC, even when there was almost 30-degrees, because they turn it on only from June. - boring breakfast. - very old and outdated sauna in spa area. - location is very good but otherwise this hotel is a big disappointment.

Good size, clean rooms. We arrived early and were able to leave our bags in a safe space and were offered somewhere to change. The use of the spa was a nice extra 👌 Location in the centre, great!

Fantastic hotel for our base for our five day visit to Budapest. The staff were amazing. So helpful and knowledgeable. Our standard sized room was well prepared and had a good sized bed. It was a tad tight walking around the bottom of the bed and between the wardrobe but everything else was first class. The spa area was great and we enjoyed using all the facilities. The bar was a lovely too. Highly recommend and we would use again if we decide to visit Budapest again.

Little bit overrated... Pluses: location, breakfast and big room. Minuses: room isn't soundproof and you can hear every passing car, even people chatting in front of the hotel. Also, chlorine smell in the jacuzzi was extremely. All in all, a good hotel.

City break 4 nights excellent hotel. Lovely room bit too warm so that didn't suit both of us but reception provided a fan. Breakfast great lots of choice. Very handy location near centre. Highly recommended

Liked · the room was nice and breakfast was good. location was decent though not great Disliked · 1) The property seems to have a hot water problem which they know about but don’t do anything to resolve. Did not get proper hot water during the stay and ice cold water on the last day. They are helpless to resolve the issue 2) There was no lift for the lower floor rooms - this should have been mentioned during the booking as the hotel advertises lift as part of its amenities 3) This is the first hotel ever I’ve stayed where there was a kettle in room but no coffee satches- apparently only tea bags (without creamer). They were unable to help again! 4) the air conditioning was quite weak and barely made a difference 5) housekeeping is not done daily. only dustbins are emptied and the housekeepers didn’t replace towels or made up the bed 6) They influence people to write good Tripadvisor reviews by offering free drink at the bar

Beds aren't very comfortable and the breakfast isn't that great. Other than that, nice looking hotel in a good location. They don't have their own parking, but there is a garage close by.

Checked in at 3 am due to flight was meet with a great receptionist team, that check us in promptly and had provided us with a complimentary 10 min foot massage each. Rooms were large enough being one of the largest rooms at the price point of around £82 per night on expidea with discount compared to other hotels. Room includes smart TV which was great, tea making facilities, large wardrobe and a safe. Only complaint was that the bathroom door was translucent (not a big deal) and that the shower compartment was small thus every time you turn around you turn the shower off. Hotel was location was ideal as it was near astoria with access to the m2 metro, tram and bus. There is also a tesco very closely located. Receptionist were great gave great recommendations and booked restaurant for us. Spa looked a decent size but can get busy in the early afternoon around 10 to 15 people at peak time, it is has a steam room, sauna and a jacuzzi. Didn't not use these facilities but only the hotels in house masseuse, juillian who was a great guy and gave a great foot massage. Highly recommend after a day of walk a lot. Breakfast was decent not a great range of selection but enough to get going. At time of visit it consist of a couple of cakes such as cheese cake and muffins, various types of bread, bacon, two types of sausages, pepper dish, bean dish, eggs scrabbled and whole, cold cuts and cheese, plenty of fruit. Guest at the hotel also has access to a coffee machine till 4pm free of charge at the lobby.

Stayed in room 610 in September 2023. Nice room overall, very modern, nice touch with kettle, coffee and tea, although no creamer. Nice amenities in bathroom and plenty of towels, though they are rough and need replacing. Comfy bed and overall quiet room. Minimal noise from other rooms and street. Front desk staff not very welcoming or social like I've experienced in other hotels in Europe. Weird sewage-like smell emanating in hallway. Another member of my group on a different floor experienced the same thing.

Good location. We had a deluxe room which was actually very small compared to the website photo's. Room was extremely dusty to the point that you kept choking on the dust and needed antihistamines. Duvet too small for the bed. Bathroom (mainly shower area) a bit grimy. Smell of blocked drains in our corridor from when we arrived (5th floor ). Breakfast was good, good selection. Very busy area . Jacuzzi/spa area underneath hotel was nice ,however men using facilities completely naked which is not what I wanted to see . Bathrobes made for children and not adults, absolutely tiny. Hotel expensive for what it is ,maybe it was a 4 star at one stage however I don't think it lives up to 4 stars now.

Great location. Nice service. Large rooms. Large toilets. Breakfast is very nice. Large range of food. The cheesecake is amazing. Stayed for 3 nights. Check in was a breeze. 5 mins walk from nearest underground/tram/bus station. Very centrally located. Came with complimentary spa and massage vouchers. Highly recommended.

The hotel is in a good location with lots of local amenities and things to do / places to eat. Staff are friendly and helpful, both check in and check out was hassle free and quick. Upon check out there is a free luggage room available to use which is useful. Hotel room had everything you could need such as tv, fridge, hair dryer and towels. Complimentary use of the spa is included which is nice however spa facilities are small and can get busy as not open for a few hours a day. Breakfast was okay with a variety of choices. If I was to return to Budapest again I would come back to the Museum Hotel

This is a fabulous hotel and we had three great nights staying there this weekend. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we have ever had with so much hot and cold choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was fine. Quite small but very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I would defnitely stay here again.

The location is exceptionally great. Room is good with lots of things like water boiler, slippery and bathrope. Cleanliness was also good. No free parking or cheap parking around the hotel. The breakfast was very poor for the room prices.

To be honest we didn’t even stay here. But my husband and I had a late-night, time-sensitive issue regarding our train tickets for the next morning and the front desk staff helped us without a moment’s hesitation. Many many thanks!

This hotel was booked for us by a travel agent. The room is very comfortable and well appointed. It has a small but efficient refrigerator. Heating is excellent, and there is an opening widow for those who like some fresh air. Reception staff is friendly and very helpful, recommending places to eat etc. Thoroughly recommend and would stay here again.

The hotel is in a great location and the staff were always very helpful and nice. The rooms were very dusty and not too clean. The dust turned out to be really bad, the bedsheets stunk and affected our sleep. Breakfast is really good and the spa is a nice extra. The bedrooms were a big let down and the tourist tax, which is probably not their fault was a nasty surprise of 60 euro… the hotel was already expensive

Reception desk service is great, location even better. Rooms are cosy but worth the price, the same I could say about breakfasts. Cleaning service was the only disadvantage - information on the wall describes that in case of a need to change towels they should be put on the floor (pretty usual). However our towels were just taken up and hanged messily, instead of bringing new washed ones.

This hotel is a nice hotel. The place is clean and the people are really friendly and speak good English. The rumours are a little bit small but you can open the window and let the fresh air in. There is fresh coffee in the morning that's complimentary. it's located couple of blocks away from a major Cross Street and therefore getting around is very convenient. I recommend this place

Enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would recommend it. The rooms are quite spacious, modern, nicely decorated, well equipped and quiet, perfect for relaxing. The hotel has a small spa and offers massages. The breakfast has a good selection of food and drinks. The staff at the reception is super helpful and friendly. The hotel is located in the middle of the city with good transport connection. The surrounding area is not my favourite, but that won’t take anything away from the value of this place.

When we booked the stay, the pictures showed big, nice rooms, with big flat screen tv’s, bathtub and city view. When we got our room, it was small, no bathtub, a tv so small they might as well have left it out, and the view was a grey wall and a dirty alley behind the hotel. The curtain had stains on it, and it was generally a lousy experience. The breakfast was below average, and definitely not up to the standards of a 4-star hotel. There was barely anything to choose from, but plain white toast break, and a pancake machine - if you were so lucky that it had not run out of dough. The buffet was half empty all three mornings we were there, and the staff was in no way in a rush to fill things up. The one positive thing I will say, is that the massage guy was very kind, and gave us some good recommendations on what to see and do in the city, and actually took his time to write the things down for us. The wellness department is only open from 17:00 till 22:00, and they somehow never had any bathrobes and slippers available. It seemed very unprofessional for a hotel that talks so highly about their wellness department, that they are constantly running out of something as essential as bathrobes and slippers. My partner called the reception one night, to ask for the availability of these things, and it was no problem, he would just have to go down and pick it up. When he got downstairs, they had nothing available. It all just seemed very unprofessional. We loved our time in Budapest, and the only mistake we made, was to book this hotel.

Kind staff, cleanliness, delicious selection of teabags in the room and even the 'interieur' throughout not only modern but matched the expectations given that the building's located in Pest's Palace Quarter. One of the best night sleep I had, too!

Not so good breakfast: syrup juices, cold eggs. Gym is very small. Wellness not open in the morning/noon

I am in the middle of my stay at the hotel and I can positively say it's been a great experience so far. I've spoken to at least 3 receptionists with varying queries and each has helped without issue. There's never been a que and the hotel has a sauna/jacuzzi/steam room included in the stay! I even needed a UK 3 pin adaptor which they kindly lent me. Hotel museum has definitely made our stay in Budapest all the more enjoyable. If you drink a lot of water make sure to bring back bottled water for your room (we had a fridge) as they don't have a way for refills past breakfast times.

Loved this hotel easy access to everywhere in Budapest trams , underground and side streets full of very nice restaurants. The hotel is very clean with a great selection at breakfast to set you up for the day.

  • 3/5 Christina K. 1 year ago on Google
On the pros first: The best thing about this hotel is the location. Yes, it's very centrally located, within walking distance from the downtown area. The Dohany Synagogue, National Museum and Central Market are really close too. Access to public transportation is within a 5-minute walk. Compared to other hotels I've been to, I wouldn't rate this a 4-star hotel. The reception staff is polite and accommodating, however (and this is something I noticed throughout Budapest), communicating in English is a bit difficult. The included breakfast was very convenient to start the day exploring the city with a full stomach. There's also a wellness spa with a sauna, Turkish bath, and hot tub included for free (you just have to book time via the reception). We also got a free 10-minute foot massage upon check-in. Now for the cons: The biggest shock to me was the cleanliness throughout the hotel. The tea/coffee cups and spoons were not properly cleaned. One of the cleaners simply rinsed the glasses in our bathroom sink while I was waiting for her to finish out in the hallway. I assume she did the same with the spoons because when I returned to the room there was still a yoghurt stain on the back side of the spoon. Also, I saw a couple of glasses in the breakfast room had stains on them - e.g champagne flute glasses with a lip smear on them (quite unappetizing, tbh). The pillows didn't seem too clean, either. Minor cons but still surprised that these were lacking: the room only had tea packs (no coffee option). Also, the mini fridge was empty - it's the first time I see a hotel room with a mini fridge that's completely empty.

Very cosy and comfortable hotel with a great location and very friendly staff. Also pretty good prices compared to what the neighbourhood offers. Good breakfats. Parking nearby 3 mins walk, about 8 euro overnight. Has a cute spa also and a gym.

Very nice hotel. It is placed in the good area. You are close to the main tourist route. Big rooms, very good service.

Everything about the hotel experience, with the exception of one very small detail was perfect. The staff were brilliant, and there local knowledge was fantastic for a first time visitor to Budapest, with many great recommendations. It's location was very good with so much to do close. This was a brilliant base to explore the city. My only issue.... Is the way the eggs were cooked for breakfast. Everything else... Perfect.

  • 4/5 Ivan B. 1 year ago on Google
The location is very good, right in the center of Pest. The staff is good, they all speak English and are very friendly. The building is super good, the breakfast is varied but the coffee would improve. another point to note is that the bed seemed a bit hard. I would choose it again in the next time :)

Rooms good quality but hard to get temperature right. Breakfast was OK, not english style but then we're not in uk and not on holiday where mainly English so was fine. One odd thing is bar closes at 10 and you can't sit there talking to loud as you get told off as rooms just round from the bar, I think the closing time and location of bar or rooms needs addressing.
