Overall, our stay at the hotel was pleasant, with a comfortable room and good breakfast. However, we were surprised to be charged for a dirty towel during check-out, which was a first for us. The 10 euro fee for a small towel felt excessive, and the receptionist's response to our questions was less than friendly. Despite the inconvenience, we chose not to dispute the fee and paid it.

If you like a big corporate hotel, this isn't for you, but if you like a boutique hotel, with a great breakfast, comfortable rooms in a quiet but fantastic location in Buda, then this is the place. Professional and friendly service, with a great courtyard. Given it was freezing we didn't sit out but can imagine it's a nice quiet spot in warmer weather.

The staff from both the hotel and the bistro helpful and kind to us. Very beautiful and clean rooms. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommended from our side. Value for money for sure. Hope to meet you again. Kisses from Greece.

Loved my stay here. The bed was amazing thought that I was sleeping on clouds. The breakfast was very nice and the server prepared hands down one of the best coffees I've ever had. So probably worth a stop in the cafe or bistro even if you don't want to stay. Easy walk to most tourist attractions on that side of the river. Only downside is that it is a bit difficult to reach in afternoon traffic from the airport.

The Maison Bistro and Hotel in Budapest is in a word excellent! While we didn't stay in the hotel, we did have dinner in the bistro. See attached menu photo. Excellent service by friendly, helpful and attentive staff. We had Hungarian food selections of Paprikas Chicken and Iberico Secreto. Both of these dishes were just outstanding.! A treat was the lightly pickled cucumber - very crispy and flavorful. Try the lemon cake for dessert - fabulous! Very nice, off the beaten track restaurant. Very highly recommended to you!!

Great little hotel with wonderful staff. When you're a guest you really feel like you're home and not at a hotel. Breakfast is really good with a nice assorted food selection and you can order something from the kitchen as well.

Great, small bed and breakfast with above the top breakfast (including Hungarian sparkling wine for free :) ), anticipates all of your needs (we were leaving at 4:00 AM on our departure day for an early flight and they made us breakfast to go), q-tips, nail files and free minibar in your room, just so great

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we're so happy with our choice. The hotel is on the smaller side which gives it a more intimate feel and combined with the attentiveness of the staff, this left us feeling very taken care of. The delicious breakfast served Avery morning made for a great start to the day. Thank you so much to all the staff.

Hotel: personnel very well trained, charming rooms (smaller at the attic), clean, quality breakfast. Soundproof is not the best, but it's understandable beeing a house in the historical area. Car parking 25e per day (Castel District) can be paid directly to the reception. Bistro: nice atmosphere, tasty food and good service.

Traditional restaurant situated inside a nice hotel. Dishes are well presented and the flavours are good. The decoration is warm and the staff is also quite helpful. A great option to have lunch when visiting Buda.

Great place for sightseeing stay, close to the bastion. Extremely chill and cozy! Super great stuff, which helped us with everything including emergency communication regarding problems with my car. Over all, not expensive, a great cozy place, good service, food. Parking outside of the hill area is cheap and only 5 min walk.

Staying here now. Lovely classy hotel with about 18 rooms. We'll looked after, clean and tidy, easy walking to several key sights in the Castle area. Ground floor garden rooms for guests with disabilities.

Yes yes yes! Finally a hotel which understands that throw blankets and pillows have nothing to do on the bed and towels belong in the bathroom. The suit we had is beautifully designed and functional. Even hooks for jackets and accessible plugs next to the bed. Also the breakfast was tasty. If I had to improve two tiny things: still bottled water in the rooms and blackout curtains. We would happily return if we come back to Budapest.

We had a lovely 4 days at maison bistro in the castle district. The hotel is very close to Mathias Church and Fishermans Bastion and it has a bus stop just down the street that runs every 15 minute s and can take you to the center of Pest. The breakfasts in the hotel are wonderful with a buffet of breads, cheeses, meats, fruit and yogurt but also there is a menu of hot food to choose from that is cooked individually for you. The hotel s building dates from the 1700s and the street is quiet and peaceful. We walked to everything on the castle district but there was another bus that runs in a loop around it if desired. We had dinner in the hotel's restaurant also and enjoyed that meal also. The staff was extremely friendly and helped with any questions we had. Just a lovely place to stay!

Everything was great, from the spacious clean rooms, clean bathrooms to the restaurant. The food there was amazing. When we come back to Budapest definitely staying here again. If you go to sziget as we did the walk up the hill every night was tough, but worth it.

We ate at the restaurant, but did not stay at the hotel. Wonderful food. The best meal we had in Budapest. The staff was friendly, extremely efficient, and detail oriented. Great coffee.

You 5 star have hotels and then you have 4 star hotels, that are even better. Very welcoming, cozy and clean hotel. Everything is very high quality, including extremely comfortable bed. Breakfast is amazing.

Amazing stay with friendly staff and a few minutes away from the fishermen's bastion. I stayed in a suite with my partner. We had a perfect stay enjoying champagne in the bubble bath and having a wonderful hot breakfast the next morning. We would definitely recommend Maison Bistro & Hotel to anyone looking for a nice stay in Budapest.

An exceptional boutique hotel located in the heart of the castle district. Beautifully decorated and immaculately clean room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only slight problem I had was the limited choice of bars and restaurants in the area but it was quite late when I was looking for dinner options. However the hotel restaurant was exceptional with a lovely menu, delicious food and very reasonable prices. The breakfast was delicious too. I will definitely be back!

We visited the restaurant here with 2 other couples who we had met while on a Viking River Cruise. This restaurant was one of several recommended by the Hilton hotel where we were all staying. We all enjoyed the visit, the waiter was attentive and helpful. The food was great, really tasty and seemed genuinely local Hungarian dishes. Prices were great, a little cheaper than our meal the previous evening. Highly recommended 👍

Went here for a light lunch and was not disappointed. It was a very nice place a bit more expensive than other places around but it was worth it. It is about 5 min walk from where all the tourists are seeing fisherman’s area so when we went it wasn’t very crowded. They had a lunch deal for two courses for like 6500 which was a very good deal if I could have eaten it I would return. And the hotel looked mixed too.

We were looking for somewhere for lunch after visiting the palace and stumbled across this place in a quiet side street. We were so glad we found it, it was a lovely calm respite from the busy tourist area around the fisherman’s bastion. We had the 2 course lunch deal which was delicious and great value, and they also had a great selection of Hungarian wines by the glass. Really good value for the quality of the food. We’d definitely recommend it.

If there is a place to stay in Budapest, this is IT. The hotel is charming, on a quiet street on the Buda side up in the Castle District. Metro and other public transportation are easily in reach and you can meander the cobblestone streets safely at all times of day and night taking in the breathtaking views and sites from Mattias Church to Buda Castle. The times when I ventured over to the Pest side, which is busy and borderline chaotic, all I wanted to do was return to this area. Beautiful rooms, many off private courtyards. Delicious food, breakfast included. Infinite supply of still and sparkling water available in the rooms. Incredibly helpful and kind staff. Stayed a week and if I could have, I would have stayed longer.

Great hotel and localization. In the Center of old castle Hills. Very good restaurant. Excelent breakfast with a lot of choices. One of the best I have had in the hotels so far. Polite and helpfull stuff. Rooms clean and well maintain. You have to Pay 19 euro for parking spot due to the fact that hotel is in historic district. 5 min walk to most of the historic sites. I would go over there for sure one more time. Strong recomendations.

Amazing experience at this hotel. I stayed one night in mid-December and initially my expectations were not really high, as it is a medieval-looking hotel, but after arriving it completely changed my opinion. - The room looks very nice and the bed is comfortable - Everything was really clean - Everything was of high quality: from toilet paper to shower oil from L’Occitane to having umbrellas for rainy days in the room - The mini-bar was free of charge - this is the first hotel I’ve ever stayed in where the mini-bar is not charged - Breakfast was amazing: the omlette was fabulous, while everything else was very fresh. Plus, the waiters were very friendly and careful. I cannot point any negative aspect, as it wasn’t. Overall, I was really surprised by this hotel and I recommend it to you all. I am adding some pictures for a better understanding. :)

This quaint little hotel is fantastic. The room was beautiful, the wifi was strong, the bed was comfortable, the water in the shower was hot, the refrigerator was stocked with free soda, water and juice. Then today's breakfast was great and also included in the price. The hotel was very inexpensive on top of all this - Not much more than the price of a private room in a hostel... I want that to sink in for some of you (me) budget conscious travelers. Unfortunately, I booked a different place to sleep tonight which I expect I will regret. I loved my stay here that much.

We had lunch in its restaurant today. It was one of the best meals I have ever experienced. Humus with smoked vegetables, chicken with paprika sauce, traditional dessert and chicken breast were great..together with ginger drink. Ambiance is peaceful and interior space is well designed. Toilets are clean. If I visit Budapest again, we will definetely eat there.. Awesome!

Could not have been better. Food excellent, room spotless, service immaculate. Perfectly located for castle area with lots of local restaurants. Ten minute walk to M2 metro station with quick journey to the city centre.

Beautiful boutique hotel that's bigger on the inside! Interior decoration is amazing, the rooms are charming and the bed is really comfortable! Good internet speed (cca 100mbit/s) as well! The staff is very pleasant and assistive and their English is on point! And the breakfast... Dear goodness! Their sausage with mustard is divine!
