If I could rate 0 I would ! Unfortunately I didnt see the reviews of others till after I ordered and it was a big disaster! It's the worst place I ever rent in whole my life and in Budapest as well. The room is so dirty, the walls dirty full of big holes everywhere, the bed is catastrophic, it's the worst bed I ever seen, not confortable at all and very low, there is no hot water, we had to wash ourselves with cold water and when I asked them why they said maybe someone else is using hot water and that we have to wait till it comes back?!!! I didnt understand this but the hot water never came. The fridge in the common area doesn't work at all, I put some food there, I had to throw some of them because the fridge doesnt work !! The building itself is catastrophic as well, I wouldn't recommand it at all, the price is not worthy and it's truely catastrophic, I rented somewhere else which cheaoest price and the rooms where 1000 times betger !! I had to see that by my own eyes to understand all the bad comments about this place! We wanted to have a romantic stay with my husband and it destroyed our stay to be honnest, we had to be careful because the bed was very low and the pillow are very small and thin , we couldnt even sleep confortabely. It's the worst room I ever seen. They should at least have painted their walls, restor them and change the beds and the table and the chairs which are all destroyed !! Ans to finush, my husband and I had to sleep with a lot of clothes beczuse the room is very cold and ther eis no heater at all !!! If you ever see a place to rent in Budapest in Dohany utca 20 or 5/B just run away dont take it at all !!

I wanted to stay one night in the hostel, for the next day I had to go to my exam at the university. Unfortunately I couldnt sleep one hour. This place is absolute unsuitable for sleeping/resting. First of all, the other guests didnt respect the rules, and came after midnight with big noise. Second: the entrance door slammed loud after all the guest coming or leaving, next to my head, and as the guests passed through the corridor, I could hear their walking on the creaking floor. I coudnt sleep, and I had to make my exam tired, sleep deprived. This place not worth a penny. They asked me to pay before I saw my room, If I had to pay in the morning, I would not have paid. I just wanted a night sleeping somewhere before my exam, but here, this place coudnt give me this. I want my money back!

Very good value for the price.The location is amazing, right in the center of Budapest. The procedure of obtaining the key a bit complicated, but explained in detail.At night the building seems very creepy and we couldn't find the elevator at first. It could be cleaner, the extra bed was really dusty.The bed was way too low

We stayed one night, there were BEDBUGS and we got loads of bites. We had to find another place to stay at and got refunded, but the management must have known about the bedbugs, as I had more than 20 bites.

Location is perfect but the room is more than basic. We personnaly found if ugly and empty. The quality of the furniture is really low. The building is even scary. But okay for the price and for a short stay. However, the staff is really really nice. We had to leave earlier and wanted to cancel some nights and they were okay with it and gave us our money back.

Quality compared with price was good. Small room, but right in the center of Budapest. Its close to anywhere from this place

Infested with BEDBUGS, it's a place to avoid. I also got the impression that they already knew the place had bedbugs but just decided not to do anything about it.

Horror place, with rusty furniture and dirty room. We choose an apartment with 2 beds, but they give us a room with one matress on the top of the bathroom and one on the floor ! Impossible to imagine but you can see in the photos. The bathroom door does not stay closed, the windows does not close properly. Be aware for this scams and avoid the so called Astoria rooms.

It was a small room with an uncomfortable bed. It was cold in the room, there was no heating and the windows could not be closed properly. I absolutely do not recommend.

This is a relatively attractive set of rooms in the top of a large building. The rooms are clean and of a reasonable size, and the price was reasonable. Bring Euros, or they'll charge you a 'custom' exchange rate which is, of course, considerably worse than interbank. On being challenged on this, the guy doing checkin looked roughly as embarrassed as he should have.

Nice old traditional building that serviced WW2 even though inside the apartment the war is on going
