Never going back there, they split beer on my girlfriends parents and my bag. They didn’t do anything to help us at all, further more they had the audacity of trying to charge us extra for the beer they split. We complained they tried to give us a dismal discount and they still charged us for a service charge when the service was awful. Everyone smiling and laughing like it wasn’t a big deal, but we had to walk around the whole day smelling like alcohol. I definitely don’t recommend this place, if I could I would give them 0 stars. DON’T GO THERE!!

Probably the best club in Budapest. The location has a great set of people they are nice and always working hard!! The atmosphere was awesome and I definitely liked that the club it is in the heart of the city...❤️🙏

Went to the club yesterday. A group of Hungarians reported me to security because they did not like that I am gay (I believe they lied about some other things to get me thrown out). Without a chance to explain (how can I when security does not speak fluent clear english), I was thrown out of the club without my money. Do not go here!

One of the worst clubs in Budapest. Trust me, it’s rated as a top club but they are racist and extremely violent against people who are not Hungarian. If you are traveling to Budapest, trust me do not come to this club there are way better clubs than this one. It’s not fun at all and they the bouncers are violent against people who are not from the area. Do not go to this club..horrible place that is racist and discriminatory.

I’ve been to this club twice so far, I would say in comparison to the other clubs that I’ve been to, it’s ok. The first time I was here, it was crowded and good. The second time, it was very empty. The second time we paid for a bottle service/table, ordered Belvedere with our table, we paid HUF 100,000. Which thinking back, I’m not sure if their pricing is good. The reason is at other clubs, a staff stays with us and makes drinks for us all night but at Ötkert we were told that we needed to do it ourselves. So no bottle service really. Also at other places, we can bring other random people to our table if we want to, but this club wanted to charge per person for a wrist band even though we had a table. After a while they also told us that they were closing the VIP area and asked us to move to the general area! So I think we had the table for about an hour or so, till around 1am or 1:30am. Not worth the money we paid for the table and service. All in all, it was a good night for us. I personally don’t recommend paying for a bottle service or a table here. I’m glad we didn’t pay for the larger table which was $1000. Also when we left our jackets at the cloak room, they only asked us to take a photo of the number. When our Hungarian friend showed up, he told us to never do that again and always take a physical number because that’s how our jackets get stolen. Lucky he got there to save us! I liked the music both nights. The DJ was good.

Some woman working at Ötekert asked me to give a 5-star review. It appeared to actually be her full job description, so I felt bad and gave the review. The place itself is not really my place. Just your ordinary club with uninteresting top-40 hip-hop songs on a way too high volume than my eardrums would prefer. Furthermore, the atmosphere was pretty aggressive as you had your regular mating attempts from around 10 guys on every woman in the club. An entry fee was of course requested. Nevertheless, there was one guarded door that apparently took you to a techno scene (something very welcoming instead of the music played in the regular area). Of course, there was an additional fee to this. I did not want to try my luck a second time. If anybody did go into that techno area I am wondering how that was compared to the ground floor.

Beautiful restaurant, delicious food, amazing service though I didn’t realise that I was charge for extra things that I was told came as part of my meal and my husbands meal an extra €4 each plus they charged for ketchup and mayonnaise in a restaurant. They also charge 15% automatic service charge on anything you purchase which is off putting to add to your bill plus when you go to pay they still ask if you want to leave a tip on top of it like what can I not just go out and eat and enjoy my meal without worrying about service charge and additional tip? Hmmm the food was good but not that good to leave 15% tip on top of 15% service charge, plus the food was not cheap for Budapest. This is not good at all as now I wouldn’t recommend my friends or family to visit and face these extra fees at the end of a meal. Lovely service food was good but too many no no nos for me.

Great atmosphere. Typical superclub. Good music, good security. Only issue is that you will be paying club prices for drinks but this is to be expected. Would recommend to anyone, especially if visiting from the UK.

Got in as a group of 4, through the vip line (10,000 forint each), 15 minutes later the party was shut down with no explanation. I was referred to the social media accounts of the club by the staff, in order to get a refund of some sort. I was completely ignored via FB and IG. Greedy club management, beware.

Went to get drinks and dessert here, sat down, 10 minutes wait, then when we went to order, waiter was very rude told us he had no time for us and stormed off. Literally asked him for a gin drink and that's what set him off. This was at 1330 in the afternoon. We left and will never be back. Beware: rude waiters! Proof of photo that we went in.

Pretty good place if you like pop music. When I went there there was absolutely no techno. The atmosphere was good and it was packed.

Deserves less than 1 star. Over priced entrance fee. Only one dance floor was open and the music was on the same genre from the same decade the whole time instead of mixing it up and feeding off the crowd. The drinks are already overpriced but we were charged additional 10% service fees?? Are clubs even allowed to do that? Not worth even half of what I paid. Tourist trap.

Whenever my friends come from abroad, I always bring them to this club, cos it's simply the best! The manager was super nice to us, he helped my friend find her phone and was fluent in French, Italian AND English. This place is an absolute gem 💎 with awesome music too. Would recommend it to a friend!

I had a blast time I visited the club more than twice and viktor the vip manager is the best host. A great host a great hospitality and great service. I recommend going there on the weekends and Tuesday

Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend the place to anyone. I bought a ticket in advance, but after waiting for over 1.5 hours, I couldn't get in. They said the venue was full, and they would only allow someone in if someone else left. Even if that happened, the line of pre-sale ticket holders didn't budge; it was those buying tickets on the spot. In my opinion, it's pathetic - you buy a ticket and still can't get in. Moreover, the ticket states, "Advance purchased tickets guarantee entry to the dance floor until 00:30." They should consider the venue's capacity when selling pre-sale tickets, not an unlimited quantity. I don't think I'm the only one facing this unfortunate situation, as I've seen similar reviews describing it as a recurring issue. It feels like a big SCAM

A nice looking, but pretty typical nightclub. Prices are extremely high and you get the same mainstream pop music as anywhere elsewhere in the world. Of course there is a huge crowd, and most people mostly go to flirt with each other. The one time I was visiting, the toilets were flooded with water, and they charged me 350 HUF just for asking for another type of glass at the bar. The place is also filled with tourists, so if you’re looking for something unique in Budapest, then I wouldn’t recommend coming here.

Fun place if you like pop music. As someone mentioned in reviews a lot of guys and almost no girls. Couple of years ago I remember they had free entrance for ladies. Maybe not a bad idea🙃 I want to say thank you for the security guys. Don’t hesitate to ask for help if you feel uncomfortable. The only bad thing is the floor, completely destroyed my shoes with glass shards and chewing gums. Take care of your shoes😂

There was a guy that was working there and we thought that we could go to the other room that’s what we read it on the internet. We tried to tell him that and he didn’t understand English and he started to attack us physically, hit us. We were shocked we didn’t want to continue this and he wanted to take us out of the club. Nobody told him anything. He is a bully and he shouldn’t be there. We didn’t want him to ruin the night so we just ignored all this but this is unacceptable

A very unprofessional club. Why do you have to pay entrance fees when the music and music equipment are so bad? It is so unprofessionally organized that you don't know which room is for which music. There was no Latino music, although the tickets were bought for it.

If it was possible I’d give that club a 0. I was waiting with my friends for over an hour just not to be let in because one of my friends stepped out of a line. The bouncers were rude. Save your money and go to other clubs or have a house party. Time much better spent ;)

Me and my friends were seated at a silver table for new years, even though we had paid for a gold table, which costs double that of silver. I’ve contacted the club multiple times, but they keep ignoring my messages.

Everything looks welcoming but they took me a half full glass of beer while I was dancing.

We ate in their restaurant Hungaria. The atmosphere is lovely, quiet and peaceful and very spacious. Efficient staff. Good Hungarian food. Worth the price. However we cant find the restaurant in Google maps. It is also named Otkert. (dec 2019)

We arrived late and spontaneously got hold of the lounge next to the DJ. Great hits from the 90s were played and the mood was exuberant. Even though as tourists we probably paid way too much, we had an unforgettable night. It was worth it.

It was the worst club in my life. The club starts working from 10, but if you don't have a ticket, you need to wait for the opening of the ticket offices. There is no payment terminal in the locker room and you only need to pay in cash. There are a lot of drunk people who come into the club in a terrible state. The administration apparently decided to let everyone in, in any condition and form. There is no air conditioning system in this club. Oh, yes, there are some schoolchildren in this club who are 17 (but they still pass)

I ve never been to a Hungarian club until last Thursday, I saw that there will be a latin party so I thought its worth to try. The atmosphere and the music gave me the feeling as I was partying in my home country Bolivia. It was so good. I recommend it to every foreigner.😜

I was out there in Budapest for the weekend. I also visited BOB and Yellow Budapest but among these 3 clubs my favourite was Otkert. Amazing place with exceptional staff and fantastic music👌👌

last week they announced that J Balvin is going to be a guest performance after we bought the tickets for 3000 they told us he’s not going to be there and that they were only going to play his songs. Once we arrived to the club they refused letting us in due to our tickets being not printed as a hard copy.

This place will always be in my heart. Great place to hang out with friends whenever I get a chance to visit my hometown.

Tourist trap, they make u wait in line u have to be dressed like a average fuckboy to get allowed in the club. Friends get discriminated because of other peoples behaviour. Bouncers cleary get off on not allowing people in the club an will laugh behind your back afterwards. Go spend your money elsewhere, overpriced anyway

What a bad experience!! You stay outside to wait in the lane 1,5 hour long, in the cold in January, because they set a machine for the payment which is working really slow!!! Change the damn machine! People are behaving like some animals inside. Everybody crowded. Rude children inside!!

I warn you - never visit this restaurant. They claim that it is separate from the night club, but in fact they work together. Meals are terrible, goulash consists mainly fat and almost no meat. They charge additionaly for the table (15%!), ketchup, mayonaise, etc. Prices are way above avarage. Our worst experience in beatiful Budapest.

Honestly one of the greatest clubs I have ever visited. I went there with friends for my birthday and had the best experience ever. The location is located very central which made it easy to find our way home when we were really drunk. The music fits my personal taste. The prices are not cheap but they are viable considering it is a capital club. When we asked for a big vodka bull at the bar, the barkeeper was a bit confused. We said "bigger" until he gave us a big jug which apperently is not common there and you cant order it regularly. Sadly at the second visit they refused to give us another jug. The only negative aspect is that when some random hungarians started a fight with a friend of mine, the bouncers did not believe him, got really mad and just lifted him up and threw him out of the club. That was the unfortunate ending of the evening but it was certainly a legendary night and we are surely visiting again!

This is a lovely spot to spend the night with fantastic music and a great atmosphere. However, I would advise being cautious as there seem to be many youngsters around. So my fellow braddas stay safe😂

A very good local club but i was really not fascinated by the choice of songs played. Okay its Hungary, but atleast play one or two punjabi songs for so many desis paying to be there 😜. Nonetheless, the alcohol is overpriced and the staff could use a little bit more kindness.

If you are looking for a fun place to spend your night DON'T come here. Their line system was incredibly long and made us not have any fun that night because we were waiting in line for 2+ hours. When we got in it was not nearly as fun as we thought it would be so I would recommend another club like Peaches and Cream or even the Ruins bar. Don't go here

So we went in and may be was still early so we headout quickly, asked the hostess if can refund our entrance money as we did not stay more than a minute, they were so nice asked the manager and refund our entrance fee, total respect and i love to deal with such people, makes u feel u in a safe town, thanks guys cheers.

My experience was great; Laura was a fire work. She was the best waitress ever. She was very helpful & made our night worthwhile!

The food (langos) was fine but not special. The beer was overprized because everywhere else it is much cheaper. The waiter was actually nice but he asked us if we are tourists and if we wanted to have some nice traditional food. He said that hungarians drink Palinka before they eat and that germans like that very much. He said we should have one. He served us the priciest shot on the menu. 8 € for the shot. They putted away the menu so nobody was able to look at the price.

This place was awesome! There was a very creepy man who was pulling my hair and touching me and my friends. I told the staff and within seconds they had escorted him out. They are on top of it and created a very safe atmosphere

Tourist trap don't go there This restaurant makes tourist stings, I was there in May 2023, we ordered 2 dishes, one of which is according to the menu, chicken schnitzel with chips and ketchup, with a photo and price attached, We received a receipt without details with a higher price than it should have been, when I asked for an explanation of the price, the cashier responsible for the payment took out a slip in which she explains that the price is only for the schnitzel and the payment for several units of chips and the ketchup is a separate price, and the cashier added that they knew that the photo Misleading, in addition I was charged several times for service for each component of the menu. I have a photo of the dish that I happened to take and a photo of the invoice for anyone who needs it. If my wife didn't pay I would definitely ask for a refund or I would call the police, I gave up because I ended up going on vacation

The waitress was good, they seemed a little short staffed but managed, the Langos I had was hearty, the location is pretty good between the river and Basilica and price was okay, what disappointed was my partner mentioned or asked for vegan option, waiter pointed to vegetarian option which is common in Budapest which we expected a little and okay as when in Rome/Budapest... We found clarifying not too much hassle in most places but on this occasion after the waiter said "no cheese" and pulled a face we thought great we are in business but when partners Langos arrived it had none of the mild grated cheese as on mine but had fresh mozzarella balls sprinkled all over, we picked off but it did put a downer on my partner's meal a bit and the face pulling combined with getting the order wrong did not win us over here. Glad we don't have to clarify any food allergies as I definitely would not go here, otherwise it would have been an okay to good experience.

It's a cool club in the middle of the city! Luca was working at the face control, she was really nice and professional! Highly recommended!!!

Ok this place is very cool inside and that’s about it. I’ve never had my butt grabbed and been harassed by men so much in my life. People are trying to pick fights and even the guys are being rude to girls. Personally it was a wild experience and I felt like I was in a simulation. Respectfully go somewhere else because the line is so long to get in and it’s not worth it unless you want to get harassed all night.
