The service wasn’t that attentive it could have been, especially when it became full inside and we were left on the terrace outside. The taste is fine and the ingredients are of high quality but there’s nothing special or outstanding which makes this visit remarkable. Great ambiance a little away from the city center which is perfect for a quiet dinner. The food portions were large and tasty. The staff was patient and very helpful too. Though I cannot say I did get a Michelin experience, the dinner there was great overall. They were also nice enough to offer a complementary surprise birthday card since I reserved a birthday dinner.

This is second time when we've been here. Last time in previous location and back then it was absolutely great experience. So, this time, we decided- why not to try it again. To the point- every dish that we've ordered was delicious, mine Mangalica meatloaf and for dessert cottage cheese dumpling was exquisite. Especially dessert, where we can find two levels of taste (structures and various flavors). But! Waiter services leaves much to be desired. Literally throwing cutlery on the table? Waiting so long for waiter to order? Giving menu of digestivo to only one customer, when there was three of us? No one dedicated for one service zone in restaurant ( we have three or four different waiters through our dinner)? We've expecting more from waiter service in Michelin guide restaurant.

Great restaurant, deserves the michelin star. My favourites were the goulash and potato gratin (comes with main dish). Deer steak was also amazing. Homemade ice tea was a good drink. Service was nice throughout the night, although we did have to wait for the check pretty long, when we were ready to leave. Overall I would highly recommend this place for some good Hungarian dishes if you're in the area.

We've been in Stand25 in previous location in 2019 and we were amazed by the food and outstanding service quality. As we're in Budapest again we've decided to visit Stand25 one more time and we were sure that it will be amazing dinner experiance, but sadly service was poor. Waiting time to place order was long, no one asked about our preferences, cutlery was "thrown" on the table, we had to catch the waiter (and there was not dedicated one for a table) to order some more food / drinks. When I asked for digestif menu we were given one (even though there was 3 of us at the table). The worts thing is that service charge (15%) was added to our tab, where quality of service and hospitality didn't met any tipping standards.

The lunch menu option is great for people who want excellent food quality without the drag of a tasting menu. Fantastic place for lunch. They have a limited menu. We had sausage with layered potatoes, beetroot and horseradish which was delicious and generously portioned. The black pudding with potatoes and Apple was also really tasty. The dessert is where things really got interesting. The noodle dish was sensational. Very unusual, interestingly textured and balanced. Really special. For some reason it took quite a while to get a menu at the beginning but after that the service was friendly. Get a glass of the ambrosial tokaji too!

In summary, this restaurant is truly outstanding. The food and drinks were excellent. The goulash was perfectly seasoned, and the meat was tender. The duck leg was exceptionally flavorful and cooked to perfection. While the tenderloin was good, it didn't quite reach the exceptional standard I anticipated from a Michelin restaurant. If you visit, I highly recommend the duck over the tenderloin. The pancakes were a delightful surprise, featuring crunchy hazelnuts. Finally, the espresso martini was one of the best I've ever tasted.

We enjoyed a pleasant meal here, the food and service was fine but a couple of things were quite curious. 1 we wanted to sit outside but we’re told everything was reserved however there were empty outside seats for the duration of our meal (whilst inside it was packed by the time we’d finished eating). No big deal but it would have been nice. 2 we asked for tap water but were told “we don’t have tap water.” Really? We were sat right by the open kitchen, I could see lots of taps and I’d bet good money on them being able to dispense water. Instead we had to purchase little refillable glass bottles of water. What had these bottles been refilled with? I could be wrong but I’d be tempted to guess water from the tap, or had the staff decanted half a bottle of Evian into them earlier that afternoon? I get that this is a fancy restaurant and if you’re eating there you can probably afford a few more euros for bottled tap water but it left a slightly bad taste in my mouth (the bottled water tasted fine).
