I have been a member for almost a month, I've taken many different classes and tried all the facilities. Most trainers are actually really nice and helpful, and even give special attention when necessary as all the classes are in Hungarian. Equipment and the facilities are ok too, though a bit on the smaller side for the price. But the reception staff and rules are just disappointing. On my first day, I really wanted to have a quick look at the gym before I paid the highest fee in town. After I asked, the receptionist- and I'm not kidding- rolled her eyes at me and then asked me to just pay for the membership. I insisted that I would like to see the gym before I pay, and after a while a really nice colleague came and gave me a quick tour and I paid the fee and joined the gym. But this whole interaction and the eye-roll left a very sour taste. On another occasion, during the tram ride to the gym I realized I left my wallet at home with my gym card in it, I had registered to an early morning class and I had no time to go back. I had my passport on me and I was sure that they could just check my name ( as they have done in other gyms in the city) and let me in. However, when I got there they asked me to pay the fee for my lost card, but my card was not lost, and I didn't actually have any money on me. They just pointed to the rules and that was it, there was no attempt of trying to help or figure this issue out, there was no real costumer service or care for a returning costumer. After my membership is up, I don't think I will be returning.

Many machines are bad, they don't work. However, there are usually many. The receptionists were nice to me.

About 200 lockers cost 50, if they are working, it is impossible to find a working locker during peak times. If some of my stuff goes missing, are you responsible for it? I do not think so

I have been a member of Life1 now for more than a year and I'm mostly using the gym at Corvin. There are a few things that have been bothering me for a while now: The parking garage is a dump. The entry area of the garage is packed with old gym equipment and other trash. Sometimes it is even difficult to drive in there because dumpsters are blocking the way. Also, the showers and toilets are usually not very clean. You can see hairs in the shower and changing rooms on the same spot for several days. And last but not least most of the spinning bikes are broken. It's not possible to adjust the height of the saddle, the display is not working or some other problem with the bike. Overall, I enjoy the courses and they added some new exercise equipment but there is room for improvement - especially when I consider the membership fee!

Saturday 7.1.23 closing hour 8 in the afternoon. switching off the lights 7.45 while people are still on the treadmills with their earphones on. Suddenly the machine stops while we still training. General behaviour of the staff unacceptable. paying fkn 70 euros to have non working machines and situations like this. I don't believe someone cares really but there is not even a complaint sheet or email, otherwise i would not leave the bad review. thats the third day of my monthly subscription and i wouldn't imagine that i will get any money back if there is an option to cancel it.

Cabinets often don't work, and people spend a lot of time looking for a working, empty cabinet. And then a lot of time is spent in the spinning room, for example, by having to transfer to another bike, because on many bikes the leg strap is torn or the handlebars are so stuck that you can't lift them. The display didn't work for months in the spinning room either, although this has at least been fixed.

The lockers don't work properly, the last time my card opened a completely different person's locker, the central card reader, which your locker number shows, also doesn't work. When I tried to ask for help at the reception for this, I was assigned in a disgusting style, due to the failure of the cabinet and the card reader... if I had talked to the customer like that at any of my workplaces, I would not have had to go in the next day, it's almost as if peasant style is an admission requirement here. I wonder if someone else can open my locker in the same way? Of course, they take no responsibility. It's also hard to swallow that for the same price I get about half as much service in Corvin, but the reception ladies don't even reach the human minimum on their worst days, which is already very hard to tolerate in silence...

The place is very crowded, unclean (bathrooms smell, no soap, no hand sanitizer) and lacks AC as well as complementary chilled drinking water. However, this is still your best bet in the area. Would be four stars if they cleaned the facilities more often and had basic sanitary supplies. Machines are relatively new and equipment is in good condition.

My 13-year-old daughter trained for the first time in Corvin life 1 today, and unfortunately I couldn't accompany her. He says the receptionist was an unconscious jerk and impatient; like a peasant teacher from the old days, 'it's not true that you couldn't fill it in' etc. This might fit in when registering for the first time. Please note that whoever is in the frontline can only behave minimally. After all, everything else is fine in this place, and a single peasant can spoil the overall impression so much!

I am choosing a gym and it is important for me that the gym is not crowded in the morning. I asked the guy at the reception if I could just see the gym before paying. He refused. I asked if there were many people in the gym. He replied that he did not know. Seriously? What then is his job? The guy was arrogant and unfriendly. He did nothing to help me.

(Translated by Google) Super group lessons, good coaches. Appropriate machinery. I miss the cold water pool that can be used after the sauna in the wellness area. The aroma sauna never has essential oil. The design of the lockers has unfortunately been solved in such a way that two people cannot fit next to each other when you are dressing in a closet next to each other. Unfortunately, the hunger for money is quite noticeable: during the COVID-19 epidemic, the wellness department was closed, but my pass was not allowed to be suspended for a while, and there was no question of a refund. A little expensive.

(Translated by Google) I like the location, 1 point applies to individual staff members. There are some nice staff (70% of coaches, receptionists), but the buffet is very poor, the service is slow, and in most cases they are not even kind, they are rather meek. 6 years of experience this.

We spent only one day here (daily ticket). It takes a bit time because the reception will create a personalized chipcard for you. The price for the first time including the chipcard was HUF 3,000. The chipcard is also a key for the locker. I've tried everything, cardio, weight, swimming and sauna. For running and cycling there are many machines. For musclebuilding I had to wait sometimes. The swimming was sauna was my favorite. It says you need a swimming cap for swimming but I also swam without one, was no problem. The place is relatively clean, most people are friendly, there was just one guy who was aggressive when my friend unknowingly sat on his towel. The guy occupied one lifting machine with his towel. But not the fault of the gym. I don't think you find a better place to relax and workout in Budapest.

Really nasty atmosphere and vibe here. Dirty looks with a heavy, mean atmosphere. Absolutely terrible place to work out. Also, if you'd like a single daily pass, they will make you fill out an extremely long marketing questionnaire on a tablet. To get to the pool, you will have to walk through the gym in your bathing suit. There are no change rooms at the pool.

The only reason i gave ** is the good location. But the changin room is tiny, and stinks. The gym has good equipment, but for a gym with prices like this it should be the basic. And you only have space to us them very early in the morning or very late in at night. In general disappointing :(

What's up Life 1? My once beloved gym! Let me know when the swimming pool reopen! It was ok for me to increase the monthly pass but not to close the swimmming pool. Plus.....considering how many foreigner are in the gym an english web page version should be a must! 🤙

It has a huge cardio section and everything You need to train your muscles. The sauna and swimming area are also good, but in winter the pool is closed. It‘s an overall good gym but too expensive in my opinion. Ps: the prices are the same, although the swimming area is closed.

Was there on July 31, 2022. Used the 1 day pass (I think it was 3000 forints which is less than $10). It was actually equipped better than the New York Sports Club I go to in the UES. Equipment was new and the gym is huge and not over subscribed. Overall a very good experience!

It's ok... the weights area is quite small, but they got pretty much everything you need, well-equipped, relatively modern. It's never really too crowded. The gym's layout is not the greatest, there's not many mirrors where you could see yourself while you lift so you can't really check your form is good or not lol... I wish they could work on that. Overall OK... one of the best shots if you're looking for a city center gym.

So everything was great but my only problem was that when I went to the receptionist she asked me to write my registered name on a paper I did not realise the paper was next to me so I wrote it on a card..my mistake whatever but the fact that since I talked in English she started making fun of me in Hungarian with her work partner, I know it might’ve been my mistake but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t understand you making fun of me but over all everything was good , thankyou

Since I've been here, I've mentioned price at least once every year until 2024. The range of services has decreased (the swimming pool has ceased, which was at least worth going here for, the wellness department has ceased). This is a double price increase. Before Covid, it was one of the best gyms, now it's just an overpriced average, like most of the services in Hungary. I'm sorry.

Although my experience was limited to 1 day, I would highly recommend Life1 Corvin gym. I was met by friendly English speaking staff and, in less than 5 minutes, I was signed up with an account, given a magnetic key for gym access and lockers and explained how the facilties work. The gym itself has 2 large levels (fitness and cardio), as well as saunas and huge locker rooms for men and women, separately. There's different areas within the fitness level and plenty of machines, as well as free weights, to satisfy any gym rat needs. Big thumbs up!

(Translated by Google) I didn’t like the fact that I lost my paid season ticket, even though the place still doesn’t offer a full service today, e.g., the sauna was closed, the jacuzzi wasn’t renovated, and the babysitting barely works. I would still go back, but only if more attention was paid to the cleanliness of the showers. I liked the carefree parking and that you can see the babysitting during training and I don't have to worry about the little one crying for me, that there is a swimming pool and sauna, the machine park is not too outdated, the gym is pleasant and bright due to the windows facing the inner courtyard. I came to this gym, at 7:58, yes two minutes before it closed. I just wanted to ask a simple question about day passes for the next day. I’m traveling from the USA, I love working out. But unfortunately the young lady at the friend desk “Shuu’ed” me away and informed me she didn’t have time to answer my question. How do I spell rude, it would be whatever that lady at the front desk name was. I completely understand she may have had a hard work day, but so did I. Long story short, if you don’t mind rude desk employees that treat you like a number this is the gym for you. Americans! Just work out in your room, the staff experience is not worth it!!!!!! 🙏🏾

I am coming here for swimming 🥽 as part of my yearly membership. Swimming pool is medium size and divided to four splits. It's clean. It has equipment needed for swimming, you can also rent it. It has two finish sauna and steam one. I am really enjoying it. The changing room is also well organized, automated lock system ( 🔒 not needed

Great gym with everything you could ever need. Can be cramped in the dumbbell area during peak times. Prices are fair but a bit high for occasional users (I was traveling to Budapest). All in all a nice gym.

This is a pretty big gym with a small (22m) pool & saunas. The free weight section is very small. Lots of cardio machines. Changing rooms are a bit dated but fine.

Fully equipped and since the renovation the changing room is clean and nice too. I am giving only 4 stars because you have to buy an additional ticket to the pool too if you want to use the saunas.

It was a place that made up for the lack with the swimming pool in the area, but with the end of the pool and the nearly 30,000 monthly pass, the category is becoming less and less worthwhile. I hope that at least with the expansion of the fitness center, the functional part will increase, which is therefore not only covered by personal trainers in denser periods. (Of course, we understand that the pool is there in Springday, it's just a 40-minute metro ride away)

At the beginning of the year, after seeing the increased prices, I seriously thought about whether I should pay for this price increase or should I look for another alternative? In the end, based on the information available to me and a long consideration, I decided to stay and bought several monthly passes. So far we'd be fine... There is no swimming pool, no sauna, no steam, but there is a price increase. I wasn't happy, but I stayed... But now, since Wednesday, there is no heating or hot water! In January! It is hard for me to imagine a technical error that cannot be fixed in such a time (4 days). If the person responsible for fixing the error were to encounter such a (unknown to me) technical problem in his own home, would he also leave his own family without heating and hot water for such a long time? I don't expect an answer, the question is poetic, because the answer is obvious! I tried to get information from the reception staff about when it is possible to use the service I paid for in advance? The only answer I got from the poor was "we don't know, but we're cold too..." Without classifying the lack of information, I would like to point out that, according to my understanding, if a pre-paid service is not performed and we do not receive any compensation, it can already be classified as a net scam! Here and now, is this what the club management is preparing for?

I have been coming here since 2016. Since then, the standard has dropped significantly (e.g. the wellness department has ceased to exist, there are hardly any cross classes, machines - treadmills, stair climbers - both are bad, etc.), and the pass is getting more and more expensive. There is always water around the new sauna, people spread it around, they didn't even think about infrared.. it seems a bit of a contrived solution - to be able to say that there is wellness.. I'm sorry that it turned out this way 🙁
