Would probably not recommend for younger people, because of the lenght and touristy vibe. The City Tour today however was realy informativ and pleasant. The only downside was that we did not get tickets for the Parlament. A lot of historic background and context was given which was exactly what we were looking for. Our guide Gyuri seemed like he realy enjoys his job and he was very passionate about the country and city, which was great. He is also the reason why i give 5 not 4 stars.

We had a great experience with cityrama walking tours in both sides of Budapest. Guids were very nice, especially Krizstina. She is very funny, great speaker and just amazing. She was talking for 2 hours and every minute was interesting.

We were to have an English speaking tour but they put us w a Spanish group plus about 6 Germans that spoke English. The tour guide tried her best, being put on a bad situation but in the end- no one was happy with the tour. I would not do that again as too much time is listening to another language and we were only given 9 minutes to tour the grounds before we had to be at the bus. Then we sat and waited a few minutes before the bus arrived. Not good - especially since we were really looking forward to this tour. Not good.

Budapest: It started off well with a pick up from our hotel to the office. Then from there was total disorganization. The tour was supposed to end at 2pm with Parliament building as the last stop. At 1pm they tell us they are splitting us into two groups for Parliament, 1:30 and 2:45. We were put in the 2:45 group without our knowledge . When we told our tour guide we had another appointment at 3pm she said we have to “negotiate “ with other tour members in the 1:30 group. I said, can you do that for us, she couldn’t be bothered. rather than buying tickets in advance for a large group they waited until we got there to purchase the tickets. Unbelievable! Also during the first part of the tour we were rushed through the sites barely time to walk around or stop for a drink or use the bathroom. Tour guides were knowledgeable but completely disorganized.

I enjoyed my 3 hour city tour with the guide. The only reason I took a star off was because the guide added more people while we were on the tour (I’d say noisy people) and we did not get dropped off at the same place as where we started as they was mentioned in the tour documents.

We had a large group of diverse nationalities but our guide Vera did a competent job. She looked out for the seniors in the group as well as the couples with young children. She has good knowledge and was able to articulate them clearly in English. She was able to solve problems on the spot. We arrived at Basilica and was told that we couldn’t enter cos there was an ongoing Mass. Vera calmly directed the tour to cross over to Slovakia and then return later to view the Basilica. I appreciate her quick thinking. She also patiently reminded the tour to reach the ferry terminal on time to catch the boat ride to a Budapest.
