The cruise in itself is good, the views are amazing. The drinks were fine and it was not full, so it was agreeable. However, there were a few downsides: First of all, the audioguide is useless. Its not an individual audio guide with headphones but a voice coming from speakers. No one can really understand it tho because people are having conversations all around you. Secondly, 1.5h is just too short to actually enjoy drinking 3 sugary drinks. And last but definitely not least, the tour is advertised as taking 1.5h, short as it is already. We however were already done after 1h10min...20min too early. That is really not ok. It is a river, continue 5 min further before turning back or don't advertise a tour of 1h30min if you can't uphold it...🤷🏼‍♀️

We took a 9pm sightseeing cruise. Views are fantastic, as others have said, but the experience with this company wasn’t great. We arrived at 8.50 as requested but had to queue up along a horrible main road under an underpass, which wasn’t a great start. Once on the boat the audio guide was over speakers so was hard to hear and didn’t really contain any info you couldn’t get from a quick google. The main sights were great but the boat spent a lot of time in less pretty locations and overall just didn’t feel that well thought out. We paid a couple of euros more than the average price for a similar cruise on the river so expected something special, which was not delivered.

I cannot rate this experience highly enough. We opted for the six-course dinner and paid the extra €15 each for unlimited drinks which was an absolute bonus; total, €72 each. The dinner consisted of amuse bouche, bouche bites, soup, mains, desserts & a small cheese selection; all very delicious and each course well spaced out. The drinks package included house wines (inc sparkling), beer & soft drinks. The food was delicious and the quality of Hungarian wines was surprisingly good. Boarding was efficient, the staff outstanding and everything organised superbly. The pianists played non-stop for three and a half hours and the maitre d’ was also the very talented singer. We were entertained with every genre of music from jazz to pop, classical to musicals. An outstanding evening.

A highly recommended experience. You see all of Budapest from the Danube.

I can totally understand that it's a busy night on Aug 20th, but the female wait stuff on the upper deck of Firework dinner cruise is absolutely terrible. She walked by our table 3 times after we sat down, and never asked if we needed anything to drink. I had to approach her 30 min later to ask for service, and waited another 20min for 2 drinks to be served. And when I confronted her that it was taking too long, she responded back with "so?" That's Hungarian service at the lowest!

I've had two very positive experiences with Silverline Cruises. The first time was for an afternoon hop on, hop off sightseeing tour. We opted for the pizza and beer option and settled in for the 1.5 hour cruise. The audio track that played was both informative and entertaining and offered facts about the landmarks you encounter on the journey. The staff was friendly, attentive and polite. We liked it so much we booked a dinner cruise with the Hungarian Folklore entertainment for the following weekend. The four course dinner was pretty tasty although my fish came out a little cooler than I would have liked unlike the soup that was served piping hot just the way it should be. The multilingual menu makes it super easy for tourists. The entertainment started off a little rocky as the band didn't quite seem to be in Wunch but once we got underway they seemed to find their groove. The highlight was the hostess who doubled as singer. Her voice was fantastic! This is a great evening for tourists and locals alike and a wonderful way to see the city's historic landmarks from a new perspective.

Experience: This is a beautiful guided tour ride up and back down the Danube so you will see Budapest main attractions (parliament, fisherman’s bastion, castle hill etc) and you can upgrade your ticket to either include dinner, drinks or a dancing show all for different prices Price: we got the basic tour for €14 each (about 75 minutes) but the prices range all the way up to about €60 if you want dinner drinks and to see the dancing or piano shows and the dinner was a 4 course meal (3 hours long). There was also a pizza and drinks option for what I believe was about €25 but those were sold out since we went at the last minute, overall a steal in the price for the experience Just a tip if you go at night, you might want to bring a blanket in a backpack or just dress a bit more warm as the wind chill is a bit intense and sit on the right side upstairs for better photos!

The night cruise is really a treat for the eyes and the soul. The views are really breathtaking and the feel of budapest in the night cruise is an out of the world experience. Must do it.

The audio part of the tour was well behind what we were actually seeing on the side of the boat, so it was not a very informative tour. Very fun and beautiful nonetheless. The extra price for the night tour is definitely worth it!

Great value for money. We took the cruise for 21.00. It's much better to see the buildings at night with all the coloured lights turned on. Arrive 20-30 minutes before the scheduled departure. The lines get pretty big

Simple, but very interesting cruise. About 70 minutes of travel to be able to see the main monuments from the river. It is definitely recommended to do it at night to appreciate the city lighting. Especially that of parliament. As for the boat, it more than meets its purpose, without fanfare, so the price is reasonable.

Nice small river cruise. Would have been nice if they told you what you were seeing. Not a peep from the crew. Note: queue up early. At least 1hr before your cruise. Otherwise you will be on the fumet lower deck. Another suggestion : it would be nice if they’d turn off the deck lights so you can appreciate the city lights.

Yesterday we paid for the boat ride at 18:30 for only 10 euros. One drink is included in that price. The ride lasted 70 minutes, and the photos I am attaching are the best evidence of how well the ride was worth it.

This is a review for the pizza and beer evening cruise. It was quite good.  The pizza was good (especially the Hungarian topping) the beer was OK (draft beer with a three brand/variety pick or try all three of them). The drinks came reasonably fast, faster than any land based joint I know. The staff were well trained, polite and presentable. They ran a very smooth operation. The boat was sturdy, well maintained and capable - looked like a converted tugboat. No problem whatsoever with the toilets or anything else for that matter. The ride was smooth, no one seamed seasick. The lower deck was fully enclosed, the upper deck just roofed. You can choose a table on the lower deck for eating and drinking and go up to take better photos. If you come in early, that is, but wherever you get seated I think it's pretty much the same during the warm season.  All in all it's a nice experience. The Danube is splendid in the evening, and whether you are in for the photo ops or just for some different place to have a drink, a bite to eat  and just hang out with friends or family, it's totally worth it.

A pleasant 70 min cruise. The skyline is beautiful at night. Upstairs was full so we stood outside therefore didn’t hear any of the commentary. Worth the price. 9pm cruise only option. If you have a quiet evening I do recommend trying it out!

We took the 9pm, 80 minute drinks and piano show which was amazing! We didn't pay extra for window table, but we were goven one anyway as all tables upstairs were with window. Great time to see Budapest city lights and have an amazing date night, can't recommend enough!

My wife and I took the evening cocktail cruise. It was a wonderful time. We sat next to a group from Austria, and that also made a difference. The cruise is only about 90 minutes long, but you get a great view of both sides of the river as you just make a trip in between the first and last bridge in the cities. The cocktails were tasty, the server did a great job getting through the boat, and the music helped to make the trip more festive.

I’ve booked the Christmas cruise for my family of 6 The catamaran isn’t very big which is an advantage when it comes to enjoy the two pianists and the singer It was also a bit crowded but not terrible The service was friendly, good and attentive. The two areas which weren’t up to my expected standards were: The quality of the food - it was good but it could have been better The costs - the costs of the tickets but the options of the drink package or the windows seats doesn’t make any sense, with a small boat charging so much money extra for a window table doesn’t make sense and the drink package, when I’ve asked if they have a package for kids they said it’s the same price - can you imagine the costs of soft drinks compared to alcoholic drinks Still, it was a great experience and by not paying the extras we did get the right value out of the cruise

We were very happy because we found places without pre-booking. The actual cruise was a blast. You can see many sightseeings. Especially at night ,the atmosphere is amazing. The only problem is that they didn't let us wait in the waiting room. They had over 30 people outside in the cold. Even when it started to rain, they didn't seem to bother. That wasn't a good behavior towards their clients.

We had a lovely evening cruise in Budapest. It was beautiful, everything was lit up and we got some super pictures. Definitely wrap up if you want to go on the top deck as it was chilly and breezy. Very good value for money too.

Very high quality of catering on the dining cruise, with good serving staff, quality musicians and singer for authentic local experience while seeing the Budapest city lit up from the river vantage point.

Lovely, well priced river cruises with this company. Free welcome drink with your ticket that included quite a good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. They go past all the well known sites giving people lots of opportunity for photos.

Amazing cruise . Tasty Pizza . Mighty beer and night time cruise should be chosen for best results .

  • 2/5 Andrew K. 3 months ago on Google New
Pros: the staff was lovely, we could go in without booking in advance and was a good amount of time. Cons: they advertise with welcome drinks, but no drink when you go in. The boat is not the best to see the views and the price is not super expensive, but there are better choices with more affordable prices.

Boat cruse alongside the Danube river with food and bubbly. Entertainment was good but can get noisy if you sit to close. We went on August 20th-St. Stephen’s Day 2023 and the fire works was amazing.

Lovely river cruise down the Danube. Note that boarding takes place at the advertised time and not the actual tour. This was the basic cruise sans dinner but beverages were available for purchase. Cruise passed the Parliament and various other historic buildings. I went right as the sun was setting so I got to see the structures in daylight and with lights at night. Recommended!

We went on their sightseeing cruise one evening last week while in Budapest. We booked the 9pm evening sailing so that we could enjoy the dusk into nightfall and the illuminated buildings on the shoreline of the Danube. The cost was fine at around £12.50 pp but the illuminated sights are really limited to the Parliament building on the Pest side of the river and the Castle complex on the Buda side, which was disappointing given the cruise is 75 minutes. The Parliament building is particularly stunning so I would not dissuade people from booking BUT our assessment of their organisation and safety was poor. They overbooked the number of people so whilst we had seats on the top deck, because we arrived 30 minutes early and were near the front of the queue, those at the end of the queue had no seats so they stood and blocked our view by standing by the rails on the side of the boat!! Also, there was no safety briefing at all and no signs to indicate where the life jackets were in the event of an emergency! Overall, for the price, just about worth it for the illuminated Parliament building but be aware of the downsides.

It was recommended by the guide and it was a great choice in terms of service and price. Didn't expect the drink and the quartet playing music inside. Highly recommended. Do not waste money in more expensive cruises. This is the one. And of course the night cruise is more fascinating!

Had a fantastic evening on the cruise! Wonderful local entertainment sweetened the deal for us!! Worth every minute! The food was not a lot but it was great! Really, the best spot to take pictures of the city in the night other than the hill. Choose the entertainment provided if you have a choice! It was done by young artists with great enthusiasm. Prepare to tip them well!!

We arrived 2 hours early to our dinner cruise. They immediately offered to let us onto the cruise we had turned up for, but said we were allowed to stay for the duration of both cruises! Great food, attentive staff with fantastic entertainment.

I loved the night cruise! Amazing tour guide, nice welcome drink. Thank you!

  • 3/5 Patrick P. 4 years ago on Google
For the price it's good. You get to see the heart of the city on the river. Some of the attractions such as Buda castle, Parliament, Gellert Hill, several of the bridges. It would have been better if the upper deck would have been open so that you could move around and take pictures without obstructions. I would defiantly suggest going after dark because the city comes to life with lights. It's truly a beautiful city.

  • 3/5 Julia S. 2 years ago on Google
I booked the cheapest option, the normal tour (in the evening). While the people who booked the dining cruise were seated in the lower level of the cruise ship, the normal tour is on the top deck. Unfortunately, I couldn't really see anything/take pictures there because the glass sides where very reflective and partly painted over. But there was a small outdoor space in the back of the boat where I went as the only person, as I had a great view from there, but had to stand the whole time.

  • 4/5 Jihad S. 2 years ago on Google
Very nice activity to do. Music is not that great , food portion is small and also not that great. But if you take drink package then its totally worth it. Very nice activity overall. Maybe the folk music cruise is more lively.

  • 5/5 Conor 2 years ago on Google
Told to turn up for 1900 but you don’t go on boat till 1930, I suppose they have to say this as people will turn up late. Staff are friendly my only regret is I only did it once. There is a bar onboard which isn’t to pricy 1500HUF for a cocktail. You get to see all of the tourist spots and I would highly recommend going at night purely because you can see everything lit up in it’s true beauty.

  • 4/5 Joanna 1 year ago on Google
Value for money 70 min cruise. You pass through all attractions. Prices at bar and service was very well. However we never understood why to keep people waiting in the rain for over 30 min since the boat was already there (we arrived 30 min earlier and there was a long queue already but we all got inside just 5min before the departure time). Also the music during the cruise was really bad and annoying it would be much better if there was no music at all.

  • 5/5 Daniel K. 1 year ago on Google
Great experience. We recommend it to see Budapest in the night, get some great food - 3 course meal - and listen to some nice music. They also have a show with local dances which was quite engaging. The personnel was also very nice and friendly.

  • 3/5 Matevž Z. 1 year ago on Google
We went on an evening cruise and we liked it. You get a nice view of Hungarian parliament building, the Buda castle and some other landmarks that are beautifully lit, but that is about it. It is very crowded. We came 30 minutes earlier and the waiting line was already very long, so we didn't get the best seats by the windows. Audio guide is somehow useless since it is on speakers and much of the people are talking over it, so don't expect to hear much information. Some other reviews are talking about drinks included in the price, but we weren't ordered anything, maybe because we were on top and the bar in on the lower platform. However it is supposed to be one of the better river cruises in the city and apparently it is also the most affordable, so I might just not be a river cruise guy.

You have to see Budapest at night from a cruise on the Danube (just breathtaking) and Silverline do it really well. We took the 3 hour cruise with dinner and drinks included (only wine and beer inc). Good fun with local traditional musicians and operetta singer. Food was just okay.

  • 5/5 Leslie P. 9 months ago on Google
What a night! We a great time with this experience. We had a 3 course meal which was great, I particularly liked the dessert for the forest fruit and coconut tapioca. The cruise took us up and down the Danube so we had plenty of opportunities for photos as the sun was setting. The entertainment was a nice mix of classical, traditional folk music and some more familiar modern tunes, all played live. The dancers and singer came on more towards the end and it was great fun. I would highly recommend this, for a great unique experience!

  • 5/5 Laura M. 2 years ago on Google
Very easy to make a reservation online and super simple to find the dock for the boat. Loved that I could do the whole booking and payment on my phone and just had to show the confirmation email. We had a question about taking a child so I phoned the company and they not only answered promptly but were friendly and informative. The cruise itself was a lot of fun. We did the sunset cocktail cruise and the drinks were a great inclusion to have (they weren’t watered down or weak or anything). I especially enjoyed the pina colada. Great activity to do with friends and a lovely way to see the beautiful Budapest.

We had the WORST Danube Cruise experience with Silverline Cruises: - On Thu. 13 July, My husband and I booked the 10PM (70- Minute River cruise with unlimited drinks), arrived early at 9 to make sure we get a good seat on top. - A boat came in and the staff started boarding the (Pizza and Beer) cruise and we were kept waiting on the side. - When we asked when is our boat arrival time, support staff were rude with attitude and they just kept saying: “Go to your line and this one is not your boat and we will board you with your boat arrives”. - Suddenly at 10:15 after the (Pizza and beer) boat was full, same staff suddenly started boarding us to the same boat of (Pizza an Beer). - My husband and myself + 13 other 70-minutes cruise passengers were treated rudely by the staff when we asked them why are we on this boat?! with (0) explanatory justification, they said there has been a mix up with the 10PM boat, and they gave us uncalled for attitude of (a take it or leave it cruise)! - Upon boarding we were seated at the bottom level, a very bad location with window view, (pictures below) boat staff told us that were are extra passengers and above is a private booking of (Pizza and Beer cruise) and we are not allowed to go up!!! - Upon asking for service, water, juice, etc (Noting that we paid 74 Euros for 2 People) the boat staff told us we cannot serve you now, wait till the end, we have our guests upstairs and you are extra passengers and once we are done we will serve up!!! - This is the most rude treatment i have ever dealt with, unprofessional and unapologetic company staff, bad experience, rude attitude, no service, no value for money and no justification or apology although in the world of tourism service an apology and a simple compensation would have been timely and could have resolved the whole issue.. - Bad experience, highly not recommended.

I went on a pizza and beer cruise. It was nice foods and beers :) We went on 22pm boat and all the city lights in the Donau river was nice! And the vibe on board was good! :) Would recommend and go again myself :)

We were a few minutes too early and met one of the staff and she offer us food and drinks for an extra cost, but as we decline, she sent us back out to the hot weather and made us wait till it was time for sailing.. Other than that, the cruise was average.. Not much to see, but they did offered us free drinks...
