The Lajos Kassák Memorial Museum (abbreviated: Kassák Museum) is an exhibition of the works and writings of the Hungarian writer, poet and painter Lajos Kassák Budapest III. in the district. Lajos Kassák, the leading artist of the Hungarian avant-garde. The permanent exhibition on the first floor of the former Zichy Castle, which was established in 1976 as a branch of the Petőfi Literary Museum, presents his literary and visual art work. In the spring of 2000, another permanent exhibition was opened at XX. from the legacy of 19th century Hungarian artists and Hungarian writers. Temporary exhibitions are often organized on the topic of the avant-garde, which are also presented abroad. From 1976 to 2007, the literary researcher Ferenc Csaplár managed the museum, who has indelible merits in arranging and expanding the Kassák heritage and creating temporary exhibitions. After Csaplár's death, art historian Gábor Andrási and then Edit Sasvári became the director of the Museum.

Unfortunately, the building is in a state of decay from the outside. It's not the museum's fault, it's the negligence of the state! The exhibition is small but sophisticated. There is currently Kassák's work and a temporary exhibition that closes at the end of the month.

I love this museum, you get such a peaceful, rural atmosphere here, as if you were not in Budapest. The ticket prices are realistic, the exhibition is very thorough, high-quality and deals with topics that are less popular, so there are usually not many visitors, so you can immerse yourself in the world of the avant-garde of the early 20th century in a calm environment.

Ha Kassák Lajos szerető az ember - én magam rajongom érte - akkor egyszer az életben feltétlenül el kell látogatni ide.
