Imagine the worst party music... then double it. That's what the "DJ" is "spinning" on this boat. No one was dancing the entire evening. Drinks are pretty weak too; they messed up a vodka soda!? To be fair the boat was nice and the staff, friendly and professional. The scenery is beautiful and fellow guests seem nice. Would be a generally great experience if the music was half decent. If this was a club, the music would have made us want to leave 10-minuites into the evening. Instead we were trapped for 2.5 hours.😩

Make sure to take your time when booking and ensure you are going with 'Budapest Boat Party' not the other company in the the city 'Boat Party Budapest'. Budapest Boat Party is an incredible long established company that we have used for years. The other company appears to have come in and started (badly) running boat parties under a similar name in the hopes of riding on their coat tails. Unfortunately the stories coming from the newer company are pretty shockingly bad.

Was here on the 31st of December hopping I will have an excellent party when I arrive I had a nasty shock the guy scanned my ticket and said is already been used it. I said impossible since is not new year yet. Lucky me a guy scanned again my ticket and took a wise decision to let me in , and he gave me an upgrade ticket all inclusive it...... for the inconvenience ..... I was wondering I will end with out a New Years party, after I paid well in advance for the ticket. The party was ok. We did couple of laps around the river, upstairs was open quiet, not music only you could seat to enjoy the scenery and that it. Drinks were basic

The boat party was the highlight of my trip to Budapest! The absolute best views of the skyline and beautiful bridges along the Danube river at night WITH an open bar! It was great having the drinks pre-poured so no long lines to wait in! Instead you can just grab a drink and head to the open top deck dance floor to party. The free after party was great too, skipped the line to the club and just kept partying. Highly recommended!

I've been on many boat parties in Budapest, and I can say for sure that this is the best boat party in Budapest! The all-you-can-drink package was definitely worth it. I'd do it again for sure, and I would recommend everyone who wants a fun party to try it.

We had an awesome time on this two hours cruise that takes you up and down the Duna. For a mere 30 Euro you get unlimited beer, wine and they even include vodka, rum and gin. We all agreed it was worth at least worth $100 for this great time. Make sure you book the boat early as it sells out in advance!

It was awesome, the party consisted of a very diverse crowd of people from all over the world, the music was fun; the DJ talented. It rained the entire time and my friends and I still loved every minute of it. At the end of the cruise you get the option to head into the city (on a night bus, great vibe) and you get free entry into a Nightclub. Sounds great right? No, the place is a tourist trap, they upsell like crazy and don't take no for an answer. Good luck trying to get a refund. When we saw our bill had the most expensive spirits for everything we asked for the money back before the drinks were poured. The barmaid ignored us and Security were called. I was very disappointed that this amazing experience ended this way... Despite that I'd still recommend this Boat cruise on a Friday night.

The best thing about it was the Donau boat ride and the view, so you should better book an other company. I usually don't write bad comments, but this time I have to warn other people. I've booked at the offical site of "get your guide" this tour. At the check in at the boat I had problems. I felt like I would be a criminal at the beginning at the "check in". The women wanted to see over and over again my PayPal that I bougt it (I paid), my confirmation Mail (I had them) and she wanted my personal informations and my mail adress. Wish I had leave this boat.The other people don't had these problems. It was really rude, cause I paid for that and I got in my confirmation Mail the details about the adress, time and everything. I paid for that. Later that night I've paid different prices for the same drink. The Bar down was 500 HUF more expensive. So after all of that, I hope you don't do the same mistake and book that trip. Do you want trouble for something you paid for? No, thanks. The music was also bad and old songs.

Booked this via our Hostel. We got the all in package for €38. It was raining heavily so the party was inside, but let's just say it was clear the party is normally on the upper outside deck. They did have a little tent, but it was too small for all the people. None of the less, the music was good. I can't find myself in the other reviews where they complained about that. The partying was okayish, we had a group of 5 but a lot of people just stood and enjoyed their drinks. The mixed drinks were weak, luckily our barguy later offered to make them more strong! Cheers to that After the boat the whole group went to a great club with a partybus. All in all, I did like the experience. €38 was a bit too much and if you're expecting a full on party, this isn't your thing. But you meet some fun people, and after all, you have to make your own party!

So much fun and one of my highlights of visiting Budapest! The views from the boat are absolutely stunning - everything on the river is lit up. The drinks were flowing and the DJ was awesome, everyone got loose and danced on the open top deck. The boat crew were super helpful and friendly as well, and there was even a free glitter stand! Would actually pay to do it again it was so much fun.

Completely recommended to do this party. One of the best experiences in Budapest. You get to see the city on the first part of the trip and party on the second half.

6 times I’ve been back to Budapest and have joined the boat party countless times (it’s on multiple times a week so you don’t miss out - AMAZING) it continues to be the highlight . Not only do you get amazing photos of the sights, YOU GET UNLIMITED ALCOHOL with likeminded backpackers. So many travellers all enjoying the experience and having a great time that leads to a night they may not remember afterwards. We got entry to the best clubs I’ve been to in Europe and the staff on the boat were incredibly nice. 11/10 Would recommend.

We can highly recommend the Budapest Boat Party. Grap a couple of drinks and have a beautiful view on the famous buildings of Budapest. Only the music could have been a bit more state of the art (mostly from 2007-2017) - but all in all a great adventure!

It was an awesome party with a great vibe on the Danube river. Just be careful because there's no food, only drinks, and you're locked on a boat for like 3 hours. But what do you expect, it's a damn party boat. :D I went multiple times and had a blast each time. Can only recommend it.

We had a super fun time on the boat party. It is very well organised, with designated bars to reflect each drinks package. The drinks were well-poured and strong. We found the DJs fantastic, particularly the first DJ and the crowd starting dancing almost immediately upon boarding the boat. The staff are friendly. The buildings are lit up for the first hour of sailing and then the sailing is on a different end of the water where it is nice and there aren’t many other boats. It was super fun and worth the money.

One of the best ways to experience Budapest on water while also having a great time with drinks and music! The staff were professional but also knew how to have fun. Unlike most boat parties, this one actually leaves the dock and moves up and down the Danube, so the photo opportunities, especially outside of Parliament Building, are a must!

This cruise is unfortunately not worth paying 175 euros per person, as it is a SCAM. The first thing is the BAD ORGANIZATION, A HORRIBLE SERVICE, the sandwiches were cold and they did not replace them and they did not clean the mess that others made when they dropped food on the floor, a bad smell as if no one had bathed, the unbearable heat, the staff speaking badly to you when you asked for something, the old and damaged boat, the damaged ladder and seeing the fireworks from there was not a big deal either. Something that is also worrying is that they do not give you safety instructions in case the boat sinks or something happens to it, there were no life jackets, no entertainment, terrible music, I would definitely not repeat this experience again, especially if my life is in danger.

Didn't expect a boat to fit that many people. Salsa was really helpful at the hostel, she explained all the events they do and I wish I saw it earlier, I would have done more. It was my last night in Budapest so we went to the boat party. It was very fun and even though the weather wasn't the best, the vibe made up for it.

Make sure to jump on board this if you're ever in Budapest. Great vibe, great DJ and lots of people from around the world to meet. The staff was incredible, one of the staff Salsa, she was fantastic, checked on me and my friends to be sure we were having a good time. Overall, a brilliant experience.

The party was nice because of the view and of the fact that one is having a completely new experience. However, the DJ was kinda bad and the drinks had so little alcohol that I feel like it’s a crime to ask people to pay that much money for them. Before we get on the boat, we stay in line and wait and then, we are let inside the boat where we wait again… to receive wristbands. It gets crowded and really warm inside while one waits. The stairs to the top of the boat are extremely steep. The party bus from the boat to the club house was okay and the overall organisation of getting from the boat to the club was great. The club afterwards was fine but nothing remarkable.

The entire bar staff is rude and ignorant. Expect to pay the full price for the worst and cheapest alcohol ever. Luckily, the view made up for it. However, the same view can be enjoyed from any other boat or just from the promenade.

I am a student in Croatia and had the best time with my friends! I got to meet people from around the world and would love to do it again over the summer. Worth it!

Really bad experience. The tour over the water by night is really nice but that’s all. The DJ only played Dubstep/Progressive House and right now (11:40 pm) NO ONE is dancing. I just asked if they could play a song for my friends birthday at midnight and the Dj laughed at me and said „Absolutely not - I have a strict schedule.“ How about playing what the guests wanna hear?

The after and uparty Rowdy has unruly and riwdy bouncers. They start physically assaulting you cause you have a cigarette in hand. Not cool at all. A little politeness would be respected. Just a simple "stub your cigarette please" suffices.

Had the chance to do one of these insane boat parties whilst in Budapest with some friends, last year. It did not disappoint. I can barely remember getting off the boat, but whilst on it it was the biggest party of the entire trip. If you can manage it, definitely have a go.

I have visited Budapest three times and booked a cruise or a bar-crawl with Budapest Boat Party every time because of how well run, exciting, and fun they are. The staff are attentive and engaging so even if you are a solo traveller you are included in the fun. The drinks are generous, the music is great, and the atmosphere is electric. I loved how often photographers were on board so that you could enjoy professional photos of a night out and have a keepsake of your wild night.
