Very nice vintage cafe. We almost all got hot chocolate and all different flavours, we had a plain white hot chocolate, a white and biscuits, a dark hot chocolate with cinnamon and one with orange. They were all very nice, just pay attention to the orange, is quite a strong taste, so you need to be prepared for it. We then trued some beers, even tho they ran out of one the IPA was still available and it was tasty. The ambient is very cool, seems to be in the Victorian age, in one of those cafe where people would discuss about politics and so on. Suggestion: if you want a nice table reserve it in advance, is usually very crowded.

Writing the review while I’m still here. I love this place. This is the kind of place I would frequent often if I lived in Budapest. Very warm, cozy, and homey. The staff is welcoming and the drinks are good. We got the earl grey tea which came with cute grandma tea cups. We also got the caramel coffee (which was excellent) and the hot chocolate (which was not to my liking, but my husband loved it a lot). This is truly a special place. Bring a book and a loved one and enjoy your afternoon.

This place has an intellectual vibe–old school spot where you’ll overhear students talk about politics or lit. Don’t come here if you’re over 30 haha I love it here, there’s a little pretentiousness masked by fun things like board games. The prices are very cheap but taper your expectations of the food and drink, that’s not the point, it’s about the atmosphere

A nice cozy cafe with friendly staff. Very old school inside with antique type furniture. There are 2 floors. It seems that you can reserve a table ahead of time, as it was pretty busy (went around 9PM on a weekday). Hot chocolate review: we got the plain hot chocolate and the hot chocolate with cinnamon. If you are not a fan of thick hot cocoa made of unsweetened dark chocolate, then you will want to avoid it. I was not a fan, but was unaware that the hot chocolate would be made this way (didn't really check out the reviews/pics beforehand). But the place was pretty cool and a nice place to sit and relax/have a chat/keep warm.

Is a very cosy place. I cannot say that much about the food as I took a coffee and a croissant. I also took a sparkling water. A little bit expensive imo, considering that it was a draft one. The place is perfect for write, read, study. I really liked the environtment. Very hard to find nowadays where all the cafes are very loud. It was a liiiiitle bit too dark, because some lights were off. I am sure with some lights on it would be perfectly cosy :) I will definitely go back again

An incredibly atmospheric place. Everything is so beautiful, with a history. We were lucky to get to the performance of a musical group, it was very cool! The drinks are delicious, unfortunately, there was only one position available from desserts, I did not try it. It is also worth noting that it is better to book a table in advance. Perfect for cute meetings and dates.

Searched for coffee and cake outside of the main tourist areas and especially not next to a main road. Trusted the reviews and wasn't disappointed: Low prices, great taste and a really lovely atmosphere - both inside and outside. Pictured are a cappuccino and a slice of carrot cake.

I love the atmosphere inside, there's something magical about this place. And the service is so kind and helpful that I'll definitely come back. What I really like is that I could fully customise my order to make it suit my needs (I'm allergic to certain products+have my personal likes and dislikes). Big plus for that! In addition the vegan milk they offer is actually made by them 👍

Nice, friendly service. Great tea. Good beer. Live music (piano accordion) was VERY loud making conversation not so easy....but this was more of a one-off thing it seems. Very cosy place, as long as you're not expecting modern decor, etc. It's really like stepping back in time.

Very nice and cozy place. Good vibe. Perfect for morning remote work - quiet with classical music playing. The girl working here is extremely nice and speaks very good English so there is no issue with communication. Highly recommended for remote office or friends meeting.

Great place with an old world charm inside. Have been here a couple of times and it's almost always crowded, specially at night. You might want to book a reservation ahead. The ambience is lively, which makes it a great place to hangout/chat. The coffee/cocktails are nice too, nothing exceptionally good though. Their heartwarming tea and zsivago coffee are great, I don't like their hot chocolate even though it's pretty popular. I dig the vibe of this place and I'll definitely come back.

Fun place to hang out and enjoy some Russian grandma love! The food and wine is not amazing but you go for the vibes. I enjoyed being here. As a single woman it was a safe place to sit and nurse a glass of wine. It was also very obviously lesbian friendly without being specifically a lesbian bar, giving a nice easy atmosphere to just be yourself.

A wonderful place. Here You can let the afternoon hours pass by in an ever timeless atmosphere. Have one of theirs exquisite teas, a slice of cake, watch artists and other local individuals come and go several times along a long stretched early evening and make yourself comfortable in this marvelous, cozy living room.

Just like your grandma's living room, cozy and welcoming. Book in advance if you plan to visit in the evening to avoid disappointment. Try the plum flavored beer and the alcoholic hot chocolate.

Old fashioned coffee with crocheted tablecloth and furniture like at granny's. The coffee was good, the cakes were average. We visited with the place with our toddler. There was no high chair so we had to watch her closely at all times during our visit.

Atmospheric cafe with some Russian style touches: they sell Russian sweets, carpets hanged on the wall and "Zhivago" coffee had vodka as an ingredient :) We tried chocolate and carrot cakes. The first one was really good: not so sweet, had cherries in it, had dark chocolate aftertaste. The carrot cake was too sweet and overloaded with taste (nuts, sugary coat, moisty cake layer). The prices were surprisingly low, ~ 2€ per cake and same for coffee. Seemingly, a sweet spot for locals, so recommended for a try visit.

This little place means absolute world to me. Incredibly luxurious thick hot chocolate flavours, easily friendly staff, WiFi and most importantly a cosy atmosphere. A few years ago I lived right next to this little café and when the world felt like it was falling around me, this little gem was a safe haven regularly. I don't think the photos do it justice to the way this place feels. The seating arrangements, lighting and cosy nooks, make it so comfortable and lovely. You must visit! :)

We felt a little aged amongst les jeunes that inhabit this place. It's attempt at being a cozy, comfortable living room isn't quite achieved and could do with more intimate decor but it's pleasant enough for a drink and a simple snack.

A nice cozy cafe, with good coffee, good service and decent prices. We were lucky that there was a birthday party with live music. The cafe has a really sweet vintage atmosphere. It's kind of a hidden gem within the district with many overpriced bars and cafes.
