Awesome place. For me perhaps the Number One recreational attraction in Budapest, the Spa centre of the World. I was there for 4 hours, but there's no time limit. My advice is go on a Weekday and get there early. I was there at opening time, 9.00am but it starts to get busy by 11.00am. Five Thermal Pools inside and one outside either 36C or 40C. Two swimming pools, one inside and one outside but both at 26C. Steam room, Ice Cold Plunge Pool (Inside & Out) and Two adjoining Saunas, one 70C the other 80C. The outside area, where there are loads of sun loungers, was almost unused when I visited. There is a restaurant/caffe here also, so bring a robe if you want to use. Basically you could spend all day here so really not bad value for a day's entertainment. Note, you must wear flip flops within the complex but you can buy these at the shop near the ticket office. Also shower/swim cap required in the swimming pools, but not the Thermal Pools. Wrist Band electronic lockers and plenty of shower facilities.

Very beautiful but they have nothing thermal, simply swimming pools with heated water.

Thermal baths in an old hotel, frequented by tourists and locals alike. We paid about EUR17 for entry. The outdoor hot bath was full and the other one was being fixed. The wave pool was not switched on and was being used as a swimming pool. Nice place for sun tanning in summer. Indoor experience was much better - we enjoyed the hot and cold pools, steam rooms and showers - this experience made the tickets worthwhile. The operators should consider disallowing shoes in locker room. Bring slippers or you will be stepping on dirty floors with wet feet. Lockers were provided free of charge. The staff could also provide more directions when issuing the tickets, and were slightly impolitely chasing people out once it hit closing time. Nice for a first time.

Really great for hot water baths. The big outdoor pool was unfortunately closed, but the smaller one best the sauna was great. The sauna is good and there are stream rooms inside as well as more hot baths. The 45 minute massage I received was fine, nothing special but nice. Well worth a visit, if just for the architecture.

The place has not changed much in almost 30 years. Except the English language skills of the staff :-) This place is nice and relaxing. Remember to take your swimsuit and swim hat with you. The place is a true labyrinth: Indoor: - large pool (hat is required). - 1 + 1 smaller pools with view to the large pool. - 2 + 2 hot pools (used to be female/male). - 1 + 1 sauna and 1 + 1 steam room Outdoor: - 1 large pool (no water at the time of my visit March 2022) - 1 medium warm pool with sauna. Terrace and bar on the upper floor. PS. Some of the tourists assumed this was more a recreational/ entertainment aqua park. But this is a quiet place where people used to be talking about politics, history and culture, in a very polite and soft way. I assume the amount of tourists have pushed the local to another location.

Very nice place to relax ! There are baths from very cold to 40C. I especially enjoyed the steam sauna. Price is super good - 16€ for an adult (for whole day), ticket includes a locker to leave your belongings. Be sure to take a towel, slippers, bathsuit, and if you want to swim in the main pool, take a pool cap, because you’re not allowed to swim in it without the cap.

I have been to many historic public and private spa areas, and have now spent time in the Gellért baths. Sadly I’m not impressed. There is a serious lack of information, starting a the ticket booth, signage almost non-existing and we couldn’t find any maps of the layout of the baths. I am aware that the whole area has a long history, and the buildings are old, nevertheless the standard, ‘no treatment’ entrance fee is quite high, so I would have expected more well maintained interior and exterior - which it wasn’t. Wearing bath slippers is compulsory to be allowed to enter the spa area and wearing a swimming cap is required when using the inside pool. You can buy both at a cost. Bring your own towel and bathrobe. There is a warmer outside pool area, where the water temp is 36 degrees, next to a sauna. It’s meant to be a more quiet area for a more mature crowd, but that wasn’t the case. Visiting the Gellért Bath for purely historical purposes is interesting enough I guess, but I wouldn’t recommend it as a place to replenish energy or for your self care.

Actually a nice bathroom but with a few small blemishes if you take a closer look.

Please don't bother going to the baths near hero square. This place is less touristy and not crowded. We got the cabin and full day pass. The indoor pools were just so relaxing and the steam room excellent. Highly recommended it. We got there at 1030AM and stood in line for less then 5 minutes to purchase our tickets. Obviously buying them online is quicker but please buy them a week in advance in the summer.

So beautiful and clean. Fair prices but here is a piece of advice, don't you ever forget your bikini because the bikini's in here are so pricey. It happened to me that's why I'm saying it. The baths are not so big but you will surely enjoy as they are not crowded. This is a perfect place to come if you really want to relax and enjoy. I highly recommend. It costs 7100Ft during the week and 7600Ft on weekends.

A great place to spend the day in the architecturally splendid indoor bath, spa pools, steam room and sauna as well as the large outdoor pool with its wave machine and yet more some other outdoor pool........................

Beautiful. Just amazing. I recommend it, it's intimate, beautiful and worth the money. I would recommend coming on a week day and buying a locker and not a privet cabinet because I think it's just a waste of money. Recommend bringing a bottle of water and some snacks and swimming hat because you can't get in the swimming pool without it. An experience you don't want to miss.

Beautiful interiors. Swim cap required for men and women for indoor pool. Steam rooms and cold plunge are great. Outdoor pool area is very limited, and the "adventure" pool is small in size with only two water fountains. Cascading waterfall turned off. Confusing directions on where to go and what is available. No ice fountain. Hottest pool only about 38 degrees.

Wonderful place to relax on your holiday. The facilities are good, the water is great. Very clean overall. We spent around 5 hours and enjoyed all the pools that were open. Outside pool is the best place to be in winter with 36°C warm water. Sauna Outside was great as well. When inside, we spent most of the time in thermal pools to the right of the main pool. We found these were more beautiful to look at. There are two pools on each side, 36° and 40°. The cold water plung after steam room was another new experience for me 😬. But I enjoyed it and did it a few times 😃. At the time of our visit, the outside wave pool was closed. Do check before you plan if that is something you are interested in.

Pros: - Very clean and well maintained - Huge place with lots of facilities to enjoy from swimming pools, sauna, steam room, thermal baths. - Relax and unwind from your trip while having great memorable pictures Cons: - No proper signs/directions for the entrance - Would be nice to have a higher temperature thermal bath 40+

These thermal baths are amazing and a must visit when in Budapest, which in themselves, are subjectively better than the Szycheni baths! The ticket is roughly 25€ but it is more than worth it! There are multiple different thermal baths, both inside and out, with steam rooms and cold plunge pools. There is also an indoor swimming pool, but a swimming cap is required. Nonetheless, there are plenty of other pools to choose from here, where you could easily spend upwards of three hours relaxing.

Hard to judge as I am a Spa lover. I have high standards when it comes to sauna and hot bath experiences and hygienic topics. But, it is pretty, it was not too crowded. Service was terrible though. Be aware to bring your own towels, otherwise you have to buy one for 15€ on top of the not cheap entrance fee. For the experience in Budapest and the pretty building I liked it.

I had a pretty fun time at the thermal bath. The place is beautiful and pretty clean considering the amount of people there. Got a couples massage, not as strong as I'm used to, but it felt like a I got my money's worth. Some of the staff were nice, others were not. The first rental towels given to us were not clean, and we were given attitude for trying to exchange them. Facilities are large, but crowded.

The staff were really friendly and helpful and the warm and cool baths were comfortable, but the age of the place is showing. The paint and joints and corners are all showing a lot of age with gaps and cracks. I don't know that I would go again for the price until some significant love and renovation had been applied.

Simply unforgettable!!! A fabulous place which fits the honorable definition "world's most famous spa". Extravagant interior, helpful & friendly staff, and an adult ticket is only around ~€20. Do not forget to bring your own swimming cap if you want to enjoy the main (indoor) pool, otherwise you will have to buy it for €6-7.

1 pool in the middle for swimming with a cap. 1 one the side 36°. 2 pools in the left wing 36° and 40° and with a steamy sauna and a small pool 20° to cool off. Same in the other wing but both 36°. Outdoor there's a pool with a water massage pressure and next to there's a dry sauna with a small bath to cool off. In short very beautiful historic spa with mosaics and statues. Definitely worth a 5* rating and highly recommended. Don't forget to take slippers since they're obligatory!

One of the few really clean and beautiful places to bath in budapest, everything is in Turkish style, with sculptures and mosaics adorning the bathing pools. You don't need to pick a day in particular to enjoy everything with your soul mate, and there's both outside and inside pools, as well as a very comfy terrace to sun bath or just relax drinking something from the bar just next to it. Highly recommended if you want to have a good time with someone special. Very romantic!

It’s one of the fanciest thermals in the city but also one of the most expensive. Tbh me and my friends prefer the other thermals which are not the crowded and offer more facilities. But it’s still worth visiting at least to admire their exquisite interior. We didn’t buy tickets in advance and there was no waiting line at the entrance. My bf mentioned it was really quiet for the Sunday morning because usually it gets really busy.

DO NOT FORGET A TOWEL! it's a simple thing but could turn out expensive if you have to buy one there. You also need flip-flops. If you want to experience the main indoor pool, then bring a swimming cap. The building is gorgeous. You have 7 pools to choose from, then a gallery above the main pool & a huge terrace outside to enjoy the sunshine. We rented a cabin, which doubles as a locker for your valuables. It's definitely with spending a few hours here, and it's centrally located, so you can go on to enjoy the rest of the city.

Perfect early start to the day. Opens at 07:30. Plan a minimum of 90 min. Plenty of lockers and changing rooms. Afterwards walk straight across the street if you’re fit for a walk to the top of the hill to be rewarded by sweeping views above the Danube.

We went early in the morning, on a thursday. It started out nice and quiet, but around 10-11 it started getting busy. People mainly walk around with their phones taking pictures. The place is beautiful and reasonably well maintained. It is not super clean, but definitely not dirty, maybe a bit older (showers mainly). We got the ticket with just the locker, which was fine as there are changing rooms around. The (wave) pool outside was fun and the thermal baths were a great experience. I would recommend, but go early!

This is a beautiful old building with amazing carvings and stained glass work. The baths themselves range in temperature from normal pool temperature to 40 degrees Celsius. We spent 3 hours there but easily could have stayed longer. We felt very relaxed afterwards.

It is pricey so stay as long as you can. Cashiers don't explain much so you need to explore the place both inside and outside. Spa pools clean and the main indoor pool requires a swim cap- please read the instructions. Attendants inside were nice and very few spoke English so be patient and using gestures will help communicate with them.

I had the pleasure of discovering Gellért Thermal Bath last year based on a local's recommendation, and it turned out to be an absolute delight. This charming Budapest gem seamlessly blends history with modern comfort, creating an atmosphere of relaxation and beauty. Gellért Thermal Bath is a must-see in Budapest. It brings together history, architecture, and natural healing waters for an incredible and refreshing experience. I left feeling renewed and will definitely come back again.

This was a much needed treat after all the sightseeing of Budapest. I did not appreciate just how much good this would do me at the time of booking, but having spent the entire day swimming, getting a massage and relaxing in the many saunas and thermal baths I can say confidently that this is not one to miss. I found the atmosphere very pleasant, locals will offer lighthearted encouragement to those fearing the plunge pool and the staff are easy to find throughout who will readily give you directions to where you want to get to.

This is our favourite place in Budapest. My husband and I spent nearly whole day there. The interior design was stunning. We tried the couple massage, 1 outdoor thermal bath, 5 indoor thermal bath, 1 indoor swimming pool, steam room, sauna, plunge pool and even had some food at the cafe. Everything was fantastic. It is definitely worthy of a visit. I booked the tickets on the official website in advance. No hassles at all. Everything was well organised onsite and staffs were very friendly. If you plan to stay longer, maybe bring some snacks, fruits, plenty of drinks, a nice book and a comfy robe.

Came just after 9am when it was snowing and absolutely loved the place. A little confusing at the beginning (knowing how to change/where to go etc) but soon got to grips. The smaller outdoor pool was open even though it was snowing and was just amazing to been in a warm pool. Indoor pools/steam rooms/cold plunges were open and enjoyed all. Definitely worth a visiting, even if you just enjoy the decor and building which is really elegant. Head here early to enjoy before it gets too busy.

The thermal baths in Budapest are truly indescribable, ranking among the city's best attractions. Purchasing tickets in advance is advisable, especially if you plan on indulging in additional services like SPA. Allocate at least half a day to fully appreciate the diverse range of pools with varying temperatures. The outdoor pools, particularly in the evening and night, offer a mesmerizing experience. Highly recommended for those seeking a comprehensive and relaxing visit.

Best indoor historic thermal bath in Budapest. I’ve visited the Gellert baths during the summer. Now during winter season the outdoor wave pool area is closed. There’s one outdoor thermal area at 36C, it’s quite small and private because most people prefer the indoor baths. I personally enjoyed the outdoor with the view of the Elizabeth bridge and at the same time I also spent a lot of time in the indoor baths at 36C & 40C. There’s a queue on weekends so I recommend to buy the ticket in advance. If you like taking photos the indoor baths have really nice architecture on the walls and ceilings, the attention to detail is good.

Beautiful baths. Inside pools and outside. Cleanest bathes I’ve been to. Good vibe and food options. There’s a bath outside that had waves every hour. A tub which is freezing beside a sauna and a warm outside bath. Great time. Worth visiting.

Gellért Fürdő is an amazing building. Over 100 years old and in beautifully maintained condition. It's worth going in to visit (free) just to see the entrance lobby. We spent over an hour wandering around the huge area admiring the sculptures, light fittings, stained glass panels and the amazing domed stained glass ceiling soaring overhead. You can get a much better view of the vertical picture panel stained glass from the first floor balconies. We didn't even go into the baths area which apparently are even more beautiful if the pictures on the walls are anything to go by. There is also an outside baths area. I'll definitely be back to try the thermal medicinal baths.

If you want to go into the swimmer's pool, you should definitely not forget your swimming cap. In general, if you want to go swimming in Hungary you should always take a bathing cap with you. His only flaw in the plastic cup is poison expensive lemonade, which is an awkward mix of tap water and orange, lemon and lime chopped with random modesty. But the sight makes up for it overall :) (Original) A fürdő tiszta és lenyűgöző, a személyzet segítőkész, a masszázs csodálatos élmény. This is one of the best thermal pool bath in Budapest near river side. It is at walkable distance from tram stop. It will be better if you can book tickets a day prior either online or offline visiting reception. It has 4 different pools of various temperatures, also big pool of normal temperature water as well. It is a very silent place to relax. A day in Gallert thermal bath is well spent. I will visit it every time when I will visit Budapest.

I had a lovely time relaxing. However, the outside pool was closed (3rd of October) and unclean. Gorgeous interiors! This place is much quieter than the other public bath. Old hotel with thermal baths that are popular with both visitors and locals. For admission, we paid around EUR17. For the indoor pool, both men and women must wear swim caps. We enjoyed the hot baths and steam rooms. Directions on where to go and what is available are a bit unclear. The hottest pool is only 38 degrees, I expected to be higher. And the floor in changing room is a bit unclean. Some people even walk in their flip flops into the bath which should be banned. Other than that, I enjoyed it very much.

Beautiful building - stunning place to visit but some parts of it felt quite unclean especially the showers. This might just be the volume of people coming through, it was pretty busy, not a whole bunch of spade to relax in the water. It was a Saturday so maybe better during the week.

Gallery thermal baths were beautiful! We debated spending the money to enter, as it seemed like a tourist trap. But it’s absolutely worth it if you have time to spend a few hours inside. We stayed 2.5 hours. We arrived just after 9am and there were fewer people than we expected. It started to get busy around 10am. We loved hopping between the spas, saunas, and steam rooms.

The greatest part of this place is the inside architecture of the rooms, which makes it probably the most beautiful thermal bath in Budapest. There are 5 thermal pools with different temperatures, unfortunately, some of these contained visible dirty particles and some people’s hair. I think the structure should be more observant of the pool’s hygienic conditions. I also recommend purchasing the tickets in advance, in order to avoid any possible waiting queues.

This is just awesome if you are fan of modern style of architecture, like a museum you can swim and chill into! I adore every detail here. Also staff is friendly, and everything you need you can find inside (for example if you don't have a towel you can rent it). Yes, a little bit confusing navigation in the begining, but you'll get used of it quickly. It's noisy when a lot of people coming and talking loudly (cause the acoustic), so, better time to go in the morning. If you get hungry, you can find not bad sandwich in the cafe.

It was a good experience and once is enough in my opinion. I came right after it opened to avoid the crowd which was a good decision. Loved seeing local patrons keeping healthy with regular swims. Liked the 36C pool too, very calming. However, you have to bring your own towel and other supplies to complete the experience. Some of the shower area smelled unfavorably but in general, areas were clean & maintained despite the ancient structure. I also had a good 45-minute massage to complete the experience. Overall, good value for money at under $60 for both the spa and the massage. Thanks to András for utmost professionalism. But what made my experience smooth was Mr. Abebe, the team leader. He made sure everyone was facilitated well through the labyrinth of pools. He also secured me a pair of slippers and personally brought them to me. He welcomed everyone with warmth. Bravo!

What an amazing experience. The baths are located in an historic building with the architecture and old world charms adding to the luxurious space. With friendly staff, good facilities and massage services available. It’s a fun and memorable way to spend the day exploring both the indoors and outdoors baths.

We chose these therms because they are known for their decor. Even that I did not find 'wauw' .. 3 hours were more than enough for me. Bathing in baths with a bunch of foreign people, I found that quite disgusting. Some 'stuff' is floating around who knows where ... Outdoor bath was small. The appearance and the number of people did not inspire me to set foot there. The other bigger one was in handling I guess for the winter. Taking a personal cabin is better I think than just a locker where everyone can see you. Bathing cap compulsory for the large indoor pool. Do not forget your flip flops to walk in the thermal baths. Not just to avoid slipping or burning your feet outside and in saunas, but also to avoid catching more germs than there are. (Original) Beurk. I love this place, and I'm giving 4 stars hoping to upgrade it to 5 really soon. Pools are great, space is awesome, the outdoor area is amazing with the sauna, cold and warm pools, such a relaxing venue. It misses one star as in our last visit many steam baths were cold out deactivated, showing a bit of missing care. I've seen it all working at full before and very well taken care of, so i hope it goes back quickly to those days and it will be perfect. Anyway, it's a must go while in Budapest!

Had many pools at different temperatures including a few cold water pools my favourite was the outdoor pool only one out of the two was in service as the other pool was under construction, there was a sauna with a cold water tub next to it. One of the best-known thermal baths in Budapest, Gellert Bath has become the epitome of wellness and spa culture in the city, largely contributing to the capital's appeal for over a century. Built in 1918, this spa complex is famous primarily for its architectural splendor manifested, among other elements, in the high vaulted glass roof and open-air pool which recently has been fitted with the artificial waves function that kicks in every hour for ten minutes – just enough to bring excitement into the water-splashing crowd. The complex combines a spa hotel and thermal bath under one roof. A great sample of the ostentatious Art Nouveau style dating back to the Austro-Hungarian era, this large building stuns with its architecture, and particularly the tiling, right from the very entrance. Further inside, the visitors are offered a choice of indoor and outdoor pools, two thermal baths, two saunas and a steam room, complete with a set of massage and other treatment facilities. The traditional Thai massage, widely popular these days around the world, is available here too, and at a rather reasonable price. To quench one's hunger for another bodily pleasure, such as food, there is a garden cafe, tastefully filled with flowers and pretty statues.

Received several recommendations to visit these baths prior to going to visit Budapest. I was not disappointed at all. It can be a little difficult to find a bench seat in some of the bath because soo many people love the baths. They are plenty warm and they’re are several different temperature baths that you can go back and forth between. I was able to meditate for almost 1.5 hours in one of the baths… AMAZING! My brother and cousin got last minute massages when we got afternoon tickets at about 2pm. We stayed for about 4 hours and that time frame was great. The hallways are a little bit hard to navigate and they don’t have the greatest signs, but you can explore and always ask the staff when you see them… most speak enough English to answer questions without difficulty about the bath. Maybe my top recommendation for my visit to Budapest!

The thermal baths are nice and have enough features for the 30 euros price, with lots of different pools and sauna. However, I think that the rental prices for towels and flip flops are too expensive... considering that most tourist just come to Budapest for weekends and can't fit those things in the hand luggage it would be nice to include them in the price or to lower the rental prices.

Definitely worth the price and commute. It's not as crowded or touristy but it's still beautiful with a lot to offer. There were several spas, saunas, and plunge pools, as well as an outdoor pool (more for wading it seemed). There was also an indoor pool, but don't enter without a swim cap lest you're ready to receive the heart-palpitating whistle attack of the lifeguard. You'll need to bring some type of slip-on shoe for hygiene purposes and your own towel. They provide these (and swim caps) but charge a lot for them. The tram stops right in front of it, so it's easy to get to.

Old fashion type of SPA. It contain thermal, and hypertemal pools where yoy can stsy 5 or 20 min depend of a water temperature. Worth to visit. One outdoor pool is running but there are a long way with staircase during a cold weather is unpleasant. For people who has an issue with walk I would not reccomend. A lot of up end downs on staircases till you reach lockers. Nice saunas. Be carefull, parking could be payed for 3hrs ..so we get out not to pay a fine.

We booked online tickets in advance. We opted for the ticket with locker. We visited at the beginning of working time because the later it gets, the more the crowds are. The pools are nice, the water is hot but the overall look of the facilities is worn out. It needs renovation. Despite this we spend a pleasant day inside.

  • 3/5 Dana H. 4 months ago on Google
We went midday, from about 1pm to 430pm and it was busy as expected. I was most surprised to see their was only 1 (smaller) outdoor pool open. The main one in most of the photos is closed - could be because of winter but unclear. Inside if you want to swim in the cooler pool with the lofted ceiling and balcony overhead you MUST swear a swim cap to be able to swim here - this is the only pool with restriction that we saw. Otherwise their was a bit of a film in all the warm pools we visited, especially around the edges. Bathrooms are smaller. If you plan to spend more time there it could be worth it to get a private changing area to make it easier, otherwise their are a few located throughout the general admission floor. Just know you might have to wait a variable amount of time depending on how busy it is. We waited a while which cut into other plans. Not sure I would pay to do this again based on the price.

  • 4/5 Ashley C. 4 months ago on Google
Recommend arriving right at open. If you're a couple (or travelling in a group), I recommend getting a cabin to change - only one person needs to get it (and it's only a couple dollars/euros more) and you'll have a private changing area, you won't have to go into separate locker rooms if you're different genders, and you can lock your stuff in the cabin while you're in the baths. The baths get very busy and crowded later in the day - if you're going, definitely go early! We arrived right at opening time, there was a small line already formed, but we were the first people in some areas, so it was wonderful to have the space to ourselves, even if just for a brief period. There aren't a lot of pools/rooms (Széchenyi is much bigger, both indoor and outdoor), so a couple of hours is more than enough time.

We loved this bath. Don’t miss the panoramic view pool! There are two sides to the pools, one that feels like you’ve gone back to medieval times in a cave like beauty and a modern side. Both are worth going to. Be sure to check the schedule because certain days and times the one side is reserved for just men or just women. We loved going from the ice to the hot in the more modern pools. Be sure to do both sides of pools and the different steam rooms. You could spend half a day here.

Very beautiful and relaxing experience! - It’s huge and has 4 different thermal baths each at a different temperature, a swimming pool, saunas and steam rooms - The massages and pedicures are very relaxing too - There was no need to book in advance. You need to have towels, slippers and a swimming cap (if you wish to use the pool). All this can also be bought at the counter (not rented). Swimsuit is mandatory for both men and women - We took our 7 month old baby with us. He sat in his stroller right outside the pool and bath while we relaxed ourselves. So yes, you can take babies along as long as they don’t enter the pool/bath. It is not recommended for children below 14 years - there is a small cafe inside too - there are swimsuit dryers and hair dryers everywhere Overall a very good experience

generally a nice place architecturally. But a lot of people, loudly, no one was able to maintain the respect for behaving as one should in such a place. There is no person to control it. the age of the people coming was not checked. There were two families with small children. and thermal pools are not suitable for children. The price is definitely high considering the quality of the place. Nice swimming pools, I can't say no, but the saunas are very neglected.

Super restorative experience, I would go back in a heartbeat. Make sure you wear a swimming cap if you want to use the swimming pool. I was there in November the outdoor swimming pool was closed. We arrived at about 10:30 on a Monday morning, not crowded. One tip, there are limited changing room on the floor of the lockers where the women’s shower is located. And they are tiny. You can go downstairs to the floor of the men’s shower and use the cabins there to change.

There’s also a steam room and a sauna and a big swimming pool and to those who like it also a cold pool (16c) They are very organised The place looks quite old, the building is beautiful and the facilities themselves are not on the old side There’re free running drinking water which is nice All in all, it was 3 hours of fun

A pleasant way to spend few hours of relaxation and recovery. The baths are clean. The receptionists speak English and some of the staff speak other languages which is very usefull. Entry price can be paid in Forints or Euros cash or card. M The locker room is confusing to get around. The staff is helpfull. There are indoor and outdoor pools. In the indoor swim pool head cap is mandatory. The hot bath is very relaxing for muscle sorness. You can combine hot bath with cold ones. ..invigorating for body. Outside you can find few seating under the trees. Recommend a visit. Best to go with public transport. Closest metro station Szent Gellert ter Muegyetem next to Liberty Bridge. The Citadella view point is next to the baths (need to walk up the hill)...here also you can find the Gellert Hill church inside the hill.

A divinely beautiful place to unwind and relax. There is a large selection of different baths with varying temperatures so that everyone can enjoy what they desire. I recommend buying tickets online in advance to avoid the wait to buy a ticket on the spot. Be sure to bring a towel and flip flops because they are mandatory and if you don't bring your own they will make you buy them locally and they are not cheap. A swimming cap is mandatory for the swimming pool.

Impressed by architecture, outside and inside. Recommend buying tickets online otherwise you might end in long queue. Cabins, although more expensive then lockers (35 € per person), are better to keep your belongings safe. They don’t rent bathrobs/towels so one should bring them or you can buy them. Bathrobe is around 35 €. Coffee bar accepts cards but has limited inside sitting places (quite few compared to amount of people inside). There are massages available but should be booked in advanced. Definitely worth visiting and relaxing during visit to Budapest.

A wonderful experience in Gellért Thermal Bath. We enjoyed our time in the hot pools and enjoyed steam room. Overall it is such a good and clean facility. Well done to the staff 👏👏. Great service and amazing time.

A nice hotel in a very convenient place. Very good breakfast bar. Fair prices but our room had a pillar in the middle. Also I would like the room cleaners to be more careful with our sheets. It was strange that we had to pay during check in. The welcome water in the room was a nice touch.

Much fewer people than in Szechenyi. Lots of swimming pools. There are not very many people on a Wednesday evening. It's beautiful inside)
