Just before the beginning of the play I came out to ask something and they refused to let me back in. Even the play has not started yet. Worst place ever, they properly ruined a night out. I've been many places in my life, but this was outrageous. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! RUDEST PEOPLE EVER!!!!! Edited: A lady contacted me and explained that this is the rule of the theater, and the staff cannot be blamed. They offered me to sit away from my wife, but I was not too keen anymore. I cannot agree with these rules hence I will not come here any more!

First time at the Thália Színház/Theatre. One of the smaller theatres in Budapest, and the show we saw was in their small room with maybe 100 seats. A very basic room, I think it's their rehearsal room with no stage or curtains. A simple black room with basic lighting, the actor on the same level as you, and very close. We were in the front row and the one scene/one act single/actor showin we saw, "Segítség, megnősültem!"/"Help, I just got married!", was only a metre or so away. I enjoyed the show although I wasn't blown away by the room itself. The outside and foyer areas of the theatre look interesting and lend a sense of occasion. I'm not sure what the main theatrical space of the theatre is like. Would definitely like to see a main production here!

Good scene, good place

We like to go to this theatre too. Beautiful inside and the boxes are great. The chairs are not the most comfortable in the boxes but the privacy is so good. The plays are good too, not necessarily the best choices every time, but all in all entertaining. The actors are fantastic!

We saw Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express, with actors/actresses in a very spectacular, 3D projected theatrical scenery. It was very impressive.

Very fancy, the interior is kept in a great condition, the prices aren't steep and the shows are fun!

We saw Boeing Boeing, it was really good. The price of a water bottle was acceptable, the theatre is modern and nice, the seats are a bit close together, but it was an enjoyable experience, would recommend.

The building was nice and clean, the buffet was good, but of course the quality of a theater depends on the quality of the plays you see there.

One of the greatest theatres in Budapest. Also the actors and the directors of the theatre are good. To be honest, I did not always like their acts. Sometimes they do really poorly especially if one is familiar with the original book. The reason I gave 4 stars is that they also do some really really good and entertaining acts. I recommend them, but be careful and open minded when you choose from their repertoire.
