One of the best bakeries I've ever been to. They have amazing baked goods. They create fantastic flavors, it is worth tasting not only the traditional well-known baked goods but also the local specialties (one of my favorites was the fruit bow!). Their basic pasta is wonderful and so are the creams and fillings! The coffee is also not bad considering that this is a bakery and bakeries usually don't pay attention to good coffee. But in a place of such fantastic quality, they could maybe try a specialty coffee, but that's just my personal opinion😋 Even without it, it's my regular place from now on!

It was the breakfast we had in Budapest. The sandwich with mortadella, olives & cheese roll, cinnamon roll with walnuts, cardamom roll with cream & berries; everything we tried was amazingly delicious! The coffee was also very good. This is a must in Budapest!

Freshly baked goodies, delicious soup (!), very tasty iced latte. Every pastry looks delicious and the smell of bread is so inviting. Perfect place for a breakfast or a light lunch. I would definitely come again if I am back to Budapest one day.

I liked the varieties of pastry that Artizan has. The items are super delicious, the service and prices are quite good, and the atmosphere in the outdoor area is nice! Totally recommended

Having tried nearly all of the highest-rated bakeries in Budapest, I can say this is one of the best, if not the best. They also make an incredible variety of breads and pastries, and even though they can get busy, the service is professional and friendly. Unfortunately, I don't live nearby and sometimes i arrive to see they are sold out of bread by 2 or 3pm. Lately it's been better though. I hope they'll continue to make enough bread for all their customers. Best kakaos csiga on earth!

The place is nice & cozy, and has lots of seating inside. We ordered a Cardamom bun with Vanilla custard inside, topped with berries and Carrot cake, it was very delicious and EPIC. Coffee was good as well. I would totally recommend this bakery for a nice breakfast or for some evening snack time. Service was good too. The bakery is closed on Sunday.

We recommend Artizan for your breakfast. There are many choices on the menu both sweet and savory! We ordered a sandwich, an almond cream croissant (we didn't get excited) and 2 buns with mozzarella, pesto, arugula & cherry tomatoes. Everything was tasty and filling. The place is clean, people are polite and there are a few coffee tables to have your breakfast inside.

It's a great bakery and you have lot of place to sit around and enjoy your food. Their pastries were tasty and the staff were very friendly. In my short trip I went there twice to try their different pastries and I liked all of them. Also its a busy place as you have people almost all the time but worth to try it out.

The best bakery in Budapest! We stayed in Budapest for 12 days and almost every morning we visited this place. Flawless pastries, good ambiance, very good price. Wishing every day to be back there.

A good bakery where you can have breakfast or stop to buy some bread. The staff was really nice and can speak a good English. The pastry was really good and also the “cortado”. I would seriously consider trying this if you’re looking for a place to eat and don’t want to spend much money.

Fantastic bakery in center of Budapest. Came in on Saturday morning and had to wait in line for good 20 minutes, which for me is always a good sign of quality - if people are willing to queue, the food will likely be really great - and it was. We got two sweet pastries, both having creamy filling and different types of berries with them. Both were absolutely stunning, light and delicious, not overly sweet. Very nice balance of sweet and sour fruit. Had a great coffee and fresh squeeze orange juice - top breakfast!

Been here couple of times cause this place is amazing. The pastries and breads are really delicious. The coffees are great too. Staff are nice and friendly, service is fast and the price is reasonable. Breakfast options are good as well. It can be long queue during peak hours but otherwise it’s okay. They have outdoor seatings during warmer seasons. Overall, it’s a really good place for breakfast, brunch, quick coffee stops.

A very interesting and unique bakery, where they have won so many awards on bread, and they do deserve them. The menu creativity was stunning, pastry was good, coffee was great, another restaurant in Budapest that we visited twice in a short trip.

We had kakaós csiga, sweet bread stuffed with Hungarian cottage cheese and cardamom latte. All were very unique and delicious. It was very busy but the line moved very fast and we were even able to get seats to sit down and enjoy our choices.

This place is great! Yesterday i had a green spinach and pea soup with some sourdough and it was delicious! Also i highly recommend their freshly baked chocolate babka and iced latte! Also the staff is really attentive and nice. One of the best bakeries in Budapest for sure!

Amazing sandwich and pastries. The coffee is very good as well. The staff is welcoming and moving as fast as they can. There is usually a line to get in and to order, maybe 5 minutes at maximum. The sandwiches are diverse and so are the pastries. Highly recommend the brie sandwich and the raspberry pastry. There is also outside seating, but it's usually full and the inside can get quite hot. The prices are very good for the value you get. Highly recommend it and we will be coming here again.

One of the best sourdough I have had. Very high hydrated dough. Crunchy outside chewy inside. I love their wide selection of breads and some interesting one like pumpkin sourdough which really have pumpkin 🎃 and seeds. The pear pastry 🍐 taste pretty good but it’s a bit too sweet for me. There’s always a queue outside the bakery. Better get there in non-peak hours like breakfast or lunch time.

  • 5/5 Barbora C. 7 months ago on Google
There is a never ending queue but it is worth the wait. The pastry was crispy and fresh. We bought four more pieces to go to try later. Staff was also very nice. Don’t miss out on this place :).

Artizán is a spectacular bakery (and cafe) that makes lots of delicious bread, seasonal pastries, sandwiches, soups, and more! Everything I’ve gotten from them (cruffin, baked goods, sandwiches) has been so good I couldn’t possibly choose a favorite. Their coffee is great as well (try the cardamom latte). Plus, the prices are the going rate for these items for Budapest. As you might guess, there is often a line but it moves quickly and is worth it :)

Amazing friendly and hardworking staff! But most importantly, their food whether savory or sweet is indeed one if the best things I tasted in my life and it is affordable too! You’d think it would cost much more for the quality and portion but it is perfectly priced in my opinion! I go there at least once a week!

  • 5/5 Anastasiya T. 5 months ago on Google
Very cosy place with plenty of delicious pastry and very friendly staff 😊There is always a queue in front of the cafe, but it goes quickly. Highly recommended!

One of the best bakeries in Buadapest, easily in the top 5. My friend and I found it completely randomly and it was one of the best experiences that we had in the city. The staff is amazing and very friendly. The coffees and the all the baked staffs are delicious. I highly recommend to visit it and I'm sure it will be one of your favourite spot.

Absolutely loved this bakery! The service was exceptional and the pasties were incredible. I had the cheese & raisin (odd combination but it works!!!) and their sourdough bread of the week which was a plum & walnut!

This is one of the most recommended bakeries in Budapest and we were not disappointed. Despite the cafe having two floors, you might need to wait a short while before you're able to find a seat. We tried the cinnamon berry bun, plum crossaint and pistachio cheese cake. All three items were of high quality, and I could not find faults with any of them. Were they the best pastries I had? Probably not, but they are really good pastries! Worth a visit if you're in the area or craving for baked goods in budapest. P.s. they serve good coffees!

Be prepared to see a line, especially on the weekend. We first walked by on a Saturday about 30 minutes before closing and the line was so long that we decided to keep going - I figured at that point they might be limited in their offerings. We returned on Monday shortly after opening and I’m so glad we did. There was a much shorter line, but they moved quickly. The team at Artizan really knows what they’re doing. The custard pastry (I would call it a Danish, but I’m not sure what it’s called in Hungarian) was my favorite. We also had a pistachio croissant and a cherry pastry. Everything was perfection. I’ll be dreaming of these pastries for a while - thank you for the great experience.

✨️A delectable bakery that is centred around quality pasteries.✨️ If you go here, you will join the crowd of amazing baked goods that will please you from salty to sweet to buttery. I can personally recommend the cardamon cinnamon roll, as the flavours played well and gave a savoury start to the day. I could see that coming here for brunch and having scrambled eggs with one of their crossiants would be an amazing start to your day.

The best bakery in Budapest! Everything is delicious everything is tasty, the prices are very reasonable, you may wait in line a few minutes but it's worth it! There is space inside to sit

Truly a hidden gem. The food is very good and so is the beverage. The only downside is the waiting time. We went there for breakfast and there was a waiting line outside.

One of the best places to have a healthy breakfast in Budapest, tasty, well made cappuccino, tasty fluffy croissant, tasty salty pastry, and much more. The bread is awesome! Don't miss it!

Probably this is the best bakery I have ever been to. I cannot tell what was the best!! There might be a queue even from early in the morning but the staff is doing their best to service as fast as possible and they were always smiling despite the workload.

The cinnamon roll is delicious. The almond one is also good. The space is super nice, both outside and inside, especially upstairs. The staff was nice but the service could be optimized. There was a lot of staff but only one counter, leading to a long queue. Also what I didn’t like was that the hot drinks (two cappuccinos) took more than 10 minutes to be ready.

The cardamom bun with berries is recommended when I looked at the reviews. I ordered the same but it didn’t really live up to expectations from the reviews. Cute place, nice staff though.

My very best bakery in Budapest. ☺️the cardamon buns filled with vanilla creme and topped with fruits is EPIC! 👏☺️Super kind stuff, pet friendly place, highly recommended any time!

Excellent. I’m literally stopping by here every second day — the bakery is the best in Budapest, they have amazing stuff. And the porridge is equally nice, just a separate entry. For both places you can sit outside and enjoy people strolling by, while you sip and excellent coffee and some morning delights. Service is superb, the staff are all really nice .. and they love dogs.

In my short stay in Budapest I came here a couple of times. The first time mesmerized me and afterwords, if I had a chance I would head there again and again. Their desserts are rich and flavorful, believe me if I say that each one of their item deserves to be mentioned but it would be an endless review. And they also offer savory options. While eating they came to me with some water and that was very welcomed. The people working there are very professional and the atmosphere is very chill. Till next time.

Good atmosphere, quiet and cosy so good to read the book. Good bread, but especially the staffs are awesome! Really kind :-) They have air conditioner on the first floor as well!

I love their chocolate rolls and their cardamom rolls (the one with vanilla filling and fruits on the top). Also the bread is a champion there! I gladly suggest this place for a breakfast or to just grab something to eat in the nearby.

Our first and last stop on Budapest. Totally worth it, we came by it by accident but fell in love with it straight away. Pastry is beautiful and full of flavor.
