Went to this place seeing it had 5*, so wanted to try it for myself. Safe to say it didn’t disappoint the food was amazing, one of the best if not the best burger I’ve had. The price was also great, for 2 meals with alcoholic drinks it’s equaled £20.

Look at those beautiful five stars from other local guides. There is nothing else I can say about this burger palace but that the owner himself is behind the counter and in the kitchen. Come, you won't regret it.

It was a quality burger that could be included in the list of the best burgers in Budapest. A meat flavor and shape close to a smash burger. Smash burger is always good. The taste and juiciness of the meat was also good. I recommend. It's pretty good without the bread too!

Probably one of the best burgers 🍔 I’ve had in my life. The meat 🍖 was so juicy and yummy 🤤 melting in the mouth . the bread great. We also had the sweet potatoes which were also of highest quality. Definitely recommended. We took away the food and enjoyed it in the park.

I must say this was one of the best burger I've ever had! The burgers were tasty, delicious, and perfectly sized. The sauce was amazing and portion of sweet potato fries were quite generous. Prices were also very good. A true hidden gem. It is a small area, with stool for sitting and ordering at the counter. Highly recommend!

Delicious burgers. Juicy beef with fresh toppings. Very good, considering value for money. Unbelievably, everything is made and done by one guy- he cooks, accepts orders and delivers your food to your table. Also homemade fries and background music are definitely 10/10 (classic soft rock ballads and jazz). Unfortunately, the place is rather small, however it will certainly change in the future as the business is surely thriving. A hidden gem in Budapest and definitely worth a visit. : ))))))))

The burger is good for the price. The bread is nice and self made as I can say. The sauce is not that delicious and it was to much of it. I had a BBQ Burger all the stuff on it was fresh. So if you Wanne eat a good burger go there. The place is also a nice to have a meal there. Stuff is friendly and fast.

Definitely is one of the best burger that I ever had. Their signature Vaslap is really good also the cheese burger( if you don’t like spicy). The staff is friendly as well - they also accept credit card. Will recommend to anyone who is craving for burger !

One of the best burger joints in town. Soft buttery bun that is able to keep it's structural integrity. Awesome patty, well seasoned, cooked great, almost crunchy crust and a pink middle with a really juicy result. You have all the basic topping, delicious sauces.

Great service and food. A must if you like burgers. They can make a burger gluten free by serving it on lettuce and a veggie burger. I went two times while in Budapest. Both burgers were so good. I had the gluten option. So flavorful.

Cosy burger place hidden in Budapest streets. The staff was very nice and the meal was prepared fast and was delicious. However, I think you should stop using frozen sweet potato fries and instead make your own - homemade and then it would be 100%.

This is a very small and simple establishment, but they know how to make a good burger. We ordered a Vaslap burger, a Cheese burger with coleslaw salad, sweet fries, and Fehér Nyul pils beer. Everything was very delicious. These burgers were the best until now in Budapest.

Lovely little restaurant tucked away! I had my last dinner in budapest there and the food was amazing and you can see it being made fresh for you and the service was quick too! I would highly recommend for an affordable tasty dinner :)

The beef is high quality, fresh and juicy. Friendly service. They sanitized each table after the client left. This place deserves 5 stars.

The burger was tasteless and couldn’t have weighed more than 100g, the sauce was super basic and there was very little blue cheese on top. Totally overpriced.

So I edited my review and this time I went there at around 7pm. The burgers are alright and not 4.9, I can tell you that I’m giving a lower rating because of the atmosphere and service some how. The same person serving is the same person cooking the burger. It’s also a little hot inside so I will suggest to do a take out during summer time as there’s no AC inside

Very tasty and well done burgers. It's definitely worthy of the 4.9 rating. Burgers are made fresh, you can see them rolling up the meat. The burger options are great and chips really tasty. 1 order of fries is enough between 2 people, unless you are very hungry of course.

Vaslap is a small and informal restaurant, though the food is excellent. I am always reluctant to try American food outside the US, but I decided to give this place a try due to the excellent reviews. It did not disappoint. Surprisingly, this was one of the best hamburgers I have ever had. Also, the sweet potato and regular fries were both delicious.

Good place to go for a quick bite. We had the "Vaslap" burger which was tasty, although I'd have liked it better with less meat and more sauce, but that's just my personal preference I guess. The place is rather small and there is no bathroom, so again, a quick bite.

These were actually good burgers 🍔... the problem is that you don't have plenty of space. This place is probably better to just order for takeaways... The classic burger has a McDonnalds taste to it. And I hope this is obvious a compliment as it was very tasty. I think the prices are standard for a takeout place. Their sweet potatoes are pretty good, it was a welcoming surprise, they were properly spiced. I think they should work on getting a burger that is very hot... their hottest burger was still not hot enough to enjoy. The cashier said so beforehand... but I was hopping for better.

To find a good burger is always a combination of luck and a little bit of research. This is one of those places that you are lucky to stay a couple minutes away. Delicious, juicy and tasty 😋. Well done guys

Very tasty cheeseburger 🍔 The meat was seasoned very well and the texture of the whole burger was excellent. It is a bit more expensive than your average burger in Budapest, but it is clearly higher quality too. Limited space to eat inside, maybe enough seats for 10 guests

Such a great find! Very small, quaint restaurant with maybe 12 seats. They have two menus - one in Hungarian and one in English for easy ordering. I ordered the Vaslap burger, minus the red onion, and my husband ordered the cheeseburger and added bacon. We each got an order of friends - one regular and one sweet potato. And of course, what goes better with a burger than an ice cold beer and a Coke Zero. It was so delicious, easily the best burger I've ever eaten (Vaslap). The burger was cooked perfectly, and although it has a lot of elements to it, none of them were overpowering the other. Very cool place, somewhat off the beaten path, but so worth it! Highly recommend it for a quick, yet delicious, bite!

One of the BEST - if not the BEST Burger in Budapest! Highly recommended! We are now regulars there. Pros: - amazing, once again amazing flavours and taste of the burger - quality ingredients and consistent (have been 10x now and they never miss the bar) - great service Cons: - due to their popularity the waiting time can be sometimes longer but it's well worth it - again, due to popularity sometimes it's hard to find available seat - normally it's pretty warm there Overall: The taste of the burger is so good that it overweights all the cons. And I'm usually not the one easily giving away 5-star reviews. Try them, and you won't be disappointed :)

The is a superb place for a burger. There's English and Hungarian menus. I've been a couple times and both times were excellent. A well sized burger, the ability to make it a double or triple, and just the right amount of toppings. Fries and coleslaw on the menu too. The play list is great! The high reviews are justified and I can't wait to go back!

You cannot go wrong with any of their burgers. I keep coming back to Vaslap to try new variations. Hidden place but it’s definitely worth a visits. It beats most of the popular places in the inner-city.

Tasty burgers, friendly staff. I had the cheeseburger and was really satisfied with the taste and the portion as well. My only problem was that for my taste the onions in my burger could have been cut smaller, although the person that I’ve been with really liked it this way so it’s just personal preference.
