The former headquarters of the Budapest Stock Exchange was designed by Ignác Alpár and was built between 1902 and 1907. Between 1955 and 2009 it housed the Hungarian state television MTV. Partly derelict, it is now to be converted into a hotel. The massive facade design impresses day and night.
