Historical landmark

👍👍 The former headquarters of the Budapest Stock Exchange was designed by Ignác Alpár and was built between 1902 and 1907. Between 1955 and 2009 it housed the Hungarian state television MTV. Partly derelict, it is now to be converted into a hotel. The massive facade design impresses day and night. People often mention building,

Impressive at night. Unfortunately, you don't have an unobstructed view of the building from the park (the trees block your view). The entrance portal in particular is very impressive.

A large building of the former stock exchange. I liked it as a building. Despite its size, it can be seen with the eyes and the lens. As usual in Budapest, exquisite style and decoration.

The Stock Exchange Palace was built between 1902 and 1907 based on the plans of Ignác Alpár. The Pest stock exchange operated there until 1948. It housed the Lenin Institute, and then it also functioned as the house of the Hungarian Institute of Technology. From 1955, it operated as the headquarters of Hungarian Television. Its complete reconstruction began in 2018.

For my part, the Headquarters of Hungarian Television. It was built between 1902 and 1907, has a huge history, and has been empty since 2009. We spent four hours inside its walls, starting from the basement through the courtyard to the top floor. It will remain an eternal memory.

Тихий и укромный парк скрывает в ветвях деревьев большое красивое здание, некогда бывшее фондовой биржей. Приятно прогуляться здесь поздним вечером.

An incredible monument 😍 Filming locations for Blade Runner 2049 (casino), Gemini Man, All the light we cannot see (inside Saint Lazare station, Paris). Unfortunately closed to the public. It would be a pilgrimage for movie buffs to be able to enter.

Rendkívül impozáns, régebben a köztévé székháza volt. Némelyik országnak a Parlamentje ekkora.

👍👍 A very interesting part of Budapest. Lots of things to see. The Budapest card is highly recommended if you're doing just a one day visit. It saves lots of walking.
