Whilst you are not meant to sit on the bridge, it is very hard not to when the sun is setting! Very nice bridge and spot to view a sunset in Budapest! Bring some drinks & food and enjoy! You can sit on the Danube river near the bridge and you still get a great view! Be sensible and careful if sitting on the bridge 😉

Gorgeous bridge that connects the two parts of the city. The steel construction and iconic 19th century architecture make it a beautiful postcard of Budapest. Walk on it and contemplate the stunning views around, during the day, sunset or night. There are different country flags along this bridge. How many can you count?

This is my favorite bridge in Budapest. There are more than 6 bridges you can walk across between Buda and Pest aka parts of city on both sides of Danube River, second longest river in Europe. I enjoyed visiting popular sites on both sides of river and used this bridge many times. It’s beautiful and well lighted when I visited during Xmas 2021.

The Liberty Bridge in Budapest is truly a magnificent sight! Its elegant design and vibrant green color make it a unique and iconic landmark. One interesting fact about the bridge is that it was originally constructed as a temporary structure made of wood and steel during World War II. Despite its temporary purpose, the bridge became so beloved that it was later rebuilt using more permanent materials. Today, it stands tall as a symbol of freedom and a testament to Budapest's architectural beauty. A visit to the Liberty Bridge is an absolute must for anyone exploring this enchanting city.

Wonderful architectural design. Get good views over the river especially if you're lucky on a clear day but even on a rainy one it's still nice. Can walk across in a couple of minutes, and its a fun experience when the tram whizzes past Lots of nice cafes around and easily connected by public transport

Szabadság Bridge, also known as Liberty Bridge, is an iconic structure in Budapest, Hungary. Completed in 1896, it spans the Danube River and connects Buda and Pest. With its distinctive green color and elegant Art Nouveau design, the bridge is a symbol of the city's architectural grandeur. Erzsébet Bridge, named after Empress Elisabeth of Austria-Hungary, was constructed in 1903. It serves as another vital link between Buda and Pest. The bridge has undergone several renovations over the years, adapting to modern traffic needs. Both bridges hold historical and cultural significance, enhancing the cityscape and providing essential connections for locals and visitors alike. In the super moon's shimmering glow, Szabadság and Erzsébet bridges aglow. They stand united, side by side, Adorned with splendor, grace personified. Szabadság, with her verdant hue, Breathes Art Nouveau, a vision true. Erzsébet, in majestic stance, Reveals an elegance, a timeless dance. Both basking in the lunar light, They share a bond, enchanting and bright. Together, they unite the divide, Two celestial guardians, with love they guide.

LIBERTY BRIDGE The Liberty Bridge spans the River Danube, connecting Buda and Pest. It is bordered by two public squares: Gellert Square on the Buda side, graced by Gellert Hill, the Gellert Spa, and Hotel Gellert; and Fovam Square on the Pest side, home to the Great Market Hall. Erected towards the close of the 19th century, the bridge boasts an art nouveau aesthetic, featuring mythological sculptures and the nation's coat of arms adorning its sides. Following extensive damage during World War II, this bridge was the first in the city to be reconstructed. Wide pedestrian-only pathways traverse both directions of the bridge, offering a pleasant crossing experience. It's certainly worth taking the journey across.

The Liberty Bridge in Budapest is simply magnificent. With its majestic architecture and panoramic views of the Danube, it's one of the most iconic spots in the city. Walking across this bridge offers an unforgettable experience, whether it's during the day or at night when the city lights up. It's a must-visit for tourists, but also a romantic spot for a stroll for couples. The view of the Hungarian Parliament is breathtaking, and it's an ideal location for taking photos. In summary, the Liberty Bridge is an architectural gem that adds to the splendor of Budapest and is definitely worth a visit during your stay in the city.

The most nice bridge of Budapest. It connects the Pest with Gellert Hill. The metal structure is really authentic and its green colour adds much to the beauty. You can take stunning photos any time of the day. It is absolutely worth visiting considering that Scechenyi lanchid was closed to pedestrians when we were visiting Budapest. Visit it and enjoy the vibration when a tram is passing by;)

The bridges over Danube are some of the most famous landmarks of Prague and Szabadsag is probably the most beautiful one. Make sure you walk across it and snap some amazing pictures of both banks of the river, as well as the palaces, Bastion and of course - the bridge itself.

The best view over the bridge is from the view points on the Gellert Hill. It connects Gellert-everything area with the living part of Peszt.

Good walking bridge located next to Central Market. You can walk both sides of the bridge in the designated pedestrian and bike area. Great views of Budapest and the Danube River.

My favourite bridge in Budapest is this one. Between Buda and Pest, on each side of Europe's second-longest river - Danube, there are more than six bridges. I frequently crossed this bridge while visiting well-known locations on both sides of the river. Beautiful bridge that links the two sides of the city. It is a stunning Budapest post card thanks to its steel structure and famous 19th-century design. Its green metallic construction, which was built during the city's golden period at the end of the nineteenth century, is visible from numerous locations in the Hungarian capital. During the day, at sunset, or by night, stroll along it and take in the breathtaking scenery around.

One of the main icons of the city. It’s worth to chill on the bridge and see it from Botha sides of the Danube. It has a very special view in different weather and different times of the day.

This is another beautiful bridge connecting Buda and Pest parts. The bridge was built in 1896 and rebuilt in 1945. It is a nice walk through the bride and people also use it to sit and drink on the suspensions.

Lovely historic bridge. Both are beautiful during the day and night as they light up. Be there before 22:00 because, by that time, they will turn off the lights. Trams pass by this bridge as well. On the other end, you can visit the Great Market Hall and on the other side is the Buda side.

this bridge is absolutely magnificent, I had the opportunity to cross it on foot and also by tram, it's really pleasant and at night it becomes downright magical, absolutely incredible, it's a very pretty architecture, I really like it!

The Liberty Bridge in Budapest is a picturesque marvel. Its graceful design and unique green hue make it a standout structure along the Danube. Walking across offers stunning views of the city, creating a memorable experience. A must-visit for those seeking both architectural beauty and a scenic stroll in Budapest.

One of 8 Budapest bridges over the Danube. A beautiful architectural piece overall. Easy access for pedestrians. Stop for a minute and catch the historical tram passing by. >>> The Liberty Bridge is the shortest bridge in Budapest's center. Initially built as part of the Millennium World Exhibition at the end of the 19th century, the bridge features art nouveau design, mythological sculptures and the country's coat of arms adorned on its side.

Amazing experience. Beautiful bridge, although I think, it must be more beautiful in the night. When you cross the bridge you enjoy being over the river Danube. Very picturesque scenes. You can take beautiful pictures here.

Situated in central Budapest, Szabadság híd - in English Liberty or Freedom Bridge - is the shortest and prettiest bridge over the Danube. Built at the end of the nineteenth century, a golden age for the city, its green metallic structure is visible from many parts of the Hungarian capital. Tourists staying on the Pest side take it to go the Gellert Baths or to climb the hill leading up to Liberty Statue.

If the chain bridge is still closed for renovation, this is the next best bridge. Worth visiting either way for sure. Beautiful view of the Danube river.

Amazing location for photos if you wish to take some nice views. Or u can just visit to enjoy the architecture of the bridge. There is a walking path, another for bikers, a third for cars & the tram. We enjoyed visiting both during the day - 11 am & at night with the lights on.
