Beautiful place. There's a restaurant and parking area as well. There's a big park about 800m away from here which is great for picnics. And there's another Gumba nearby too. The way is a little troublesome if you travel from Kapan.

It’s a really beautiful place, worth a visit and when we were there no other tourist was there. But don’t be scared if the security guard asks you to call a washed up phone number written next to the gate. You have to ask the administration for access. The gates close at 4 pm, you have to be out by this time.

A beautiful, isolated monastery. The main temple is beautifully adorned and nested in an environment of blooming, attentively groomed gardens. Met cats and dogs, generously fed by the monks. Leave a small donation and find out about the lineage of high profile masters, as well as their social activities for the less forrunate.

Far away from pestering city, very astonishing and exquisite Monastery with beautiful view of green pine forest and pestering city below. Environment and nature around of Monastery tries to soothe your burnout mood(for trekkers). It was very solace place for me.

So far, this is the best destination I've ever visited in Kathmandu. Even the road is bumpy, narrow, and damaged badly, but "difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations" they said, and it does! Tips: 1) if you ride a motorcycle, make sure it's a trail one; 2) put your buff/scarf/mask on. Road is very dusty; 3) They open around 10am and close at 4 pm, better arrived at 10am to get more fresh air.

Love the huge area it covers and the location is top notch. Close to the area of shivapuri National park. It has many things to provide. The building architecture is artistically aesthetic and is covered with buddhists artworks and tibetan writings and surronded by trees and flower garden. It's open for all public but some areas inside are restricted and only monks or authorized personnel can enter. Also you can't enter inside the main building. It's peaceful. Might be crowded during weekends and public holidays. The location is tricky, you gotta go north from the gate of gokarna picnic spot and take a left turn after a few minutes walk.

One of a #refreshing and down to earth place. Lies about 1 hour #hike from gokarna. Has motable (small 4 wheeler) road access. Is #ambient, #sceneric, #quiet place. The place is #fabulously made, #Buddhist #Monastery. The view of valley is #astonishingly luring. If you are looking for a short hike around valley this is best choice you have. 😊
