I’m
sharing
my
experience
(even
though
we
were
denied
a
room
and
never
got
to
stay
at
the
hotel)
purely
because
of
the
way
Mr
Naik,
the
Manager
handled
the
situation.
We
were
travelling
with
our
small
dog
and
were
informed
of
the
hotel’s
no
pet
policy.
However,
when
I
requested
Mr
Naik
that
the
dog
is
really
small
and
no
trouble
at
all,
he
took
out
the
tariff
card
and
informed
me
that
there
was
only
one
cottage
available
and
the
rate
would
be
11000
including
dinner
and
breakfast
for
3
guests.
We
agreed
immediately
and
were
told
that
someone
would
come
with
the
keys
to
show
us
the
villa
room.
After
a
long
wait
the
receptionist
arrived
and
started
the
formalities
for
check
in.
Meanwhile,
there
was
a
lady
also
looking
for
a
room
who
was
told
that
the
only
available
room
was
already
booked
by
us.
All
this
happened
while
the
dog
was
by
my
side
visible
to
everyone.
All
of
a
sudden
the
receptionist
said
that
pets
were
not
allowed
on
the
property
to
which
I
clarified
that
the
issue
was
already
settled
with
Mr
Naik,
the
Manager
an
hour
ago
while
he,
the
receptionist
was
being
awaited.
Receptionist
asked
me
to
again
confirm
with
the
Manager
who
expressed
his
inability
to
help
if
the
receptionist
was
not
agreeing.
They
were
okay
with
the
dog
as
long
as
they
were
able
to
sell
the
room,
but
once
they
had
another
inquiry,
they
did
a
U
turn.
An
hour
was
wasted
and
we
had
to
leave.
They
were
within
their
rights
to
refuse
us
but
I
found
this
behaviour
a
bit
strange
and
unsavoury,
given
the
wonderful
description
of
the
hotel
by
our
guide
who
led
us
there.
A
little
intrigued,
I
later
went
through
some
of
their
reviews
on
Google
which
helped
put
things
in
perspective.
In
the
end,
although
we
had
to
endure
a
night
long
drive
back
to
Pune,
it
turned
out
to
be
a
blessing
in
hindsight.
A
fantastic
location
marred
by
the
callous
attitude
of
poorly
trained
staff.
Glad
we
were
spared
the
ordeal
of
being
at
the
receiving
end
of
their
service
or
lack
of
it.
