My family has lived in Buena Park for years and The LaFont family has been our family optometrist for a few generations. I was really happy to be able to come back to his office after moving away for a few years. But I have to admit we will not be coming back to the office now that it's not owned by the Lafont Family. I was informed when I got to my daughter's appointment that the ownership had changed in just the few weeks that my husband had his appointment. He was seen maybe a week and a half prior. He was happy with his visit and received a prescription so we can get glass a little cheaper because we're a one income family. There was no issue so we made an appointment for my daughter to be seen a few weeks later. I was never told anything about an ownership change until filling out paperwork I had already filled out. But now I needed to fill it out with a new letter head. At the end of my appointment I informed the optician that I would like a prescription to get my daughter glasses somewhere else. I was given the prescription, I paid and went home. It wasn't until I got home and sent the prescription to my husband that he informed me that the "PD" was not listed. So I called the office back regarding the issue and was informed, about 30 mins after my appointment, "That the office is no longer owned by the LaFont family. The new business does not provide a "PD" because it's a liability issue." I was then informed how I can figure out my own "PD" from home. Like, I didn't just pay an Optometrist to do that for me 30 mins ago. So now I will have to pay full price at another Optometrist to have the job done correctly because this office is now run by an owner that will withhold info so it holds you to purchasing their glasses. Well, we will not be back. I will find somewhere that can fit my family needs. So sad to see customer service go down hill SOOOOO FAST! Not worth the money for working class families that can't afford to buy at the office. So sad things went the way they did.

During my 2nd annual visit with Dr.LaFont l found he and his team to be just as welcoming,friendly and pleasant as my initial visit. The check in process was simple and the eye exam was thorough. At its conclusion the Doctor explained his findings in detailed layman’s terms (not oversimplified though)… I personally find it refreshing to patronize my local optometrists office where the service feels very much more personal and comfortable than the larger corporate type operations. I highly recommend this establishment for anyone seeking quality eye care

Dr. LaFont is one of the most thorough optometrist I have seen. He takes his time to explain and give you a base knowledge of your eye and eye health. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. I have been going here for at least 5 years now and I’m very pleased with my experience so far ☺️

I promise you, if you’re in Southern California and need to see an Optometrist, you will absolutely love this place! The staff are warm and inviting, and fun to be around! I laughed more than a few times with them. The office is clean, neat, and organized. The equipment is new and state of the art. And finally; the doctor… Dr LaFont is patient, very professional, caring, and likes to throw in a joke here and there. He is able to explain details of my exam that are easy for me to understand. And he cares. Did I say that already? Yes, he cares. I highly recommend this Optometrist!
