Food was pretty good. Spicy is spicy. Waitress was awesome, very attentive kept our table filled and always made sure we were good.

Oyster, crawfish, or crab? I liked the oysters best. Eating seafood can get a bit messy, but it's all worth it!

This is a good place to go to if you don't mind getting your hands dirty. Overall, food was reasonably priced and decent. Service was quick and the servers were nice and attentive. One of the servers even offered a suggestion of adding lemon into a small cup of salt and pepper then dipping our food in it, which I appreciate. The restaurant itself is nicely themed and well kept. I imagine this could be a great place to share a meal with your friends.

I wish I could rate the food, but that did not happen... so this is solely based on customer service. We had a family gathering of about 25 people that were meeting up for dinner. We were met with a sign that stated a whole bunch of rules... see attached... we were fine with most of them, I get it, I've worked in restaurants before. But... the 2 cards per table.... there are 8 families and this is not a cheap place so we did not have cash on hand to pay with just 2 credit cards. They told us 4 cards is the best they could do... ok whatever. We had a solution that we would dine at different tables and then we would just hang out after. So we asked to just be seated by family where ever they want. Well, they told is that they can't do that. Since we already asked for a table for 25, they have to stick to that. I asked if they'd rather get a check for 25 people or none, they said their boss would. Ot allow them to break the rules, and since he was not available, they're in charge and they have to follow the rules. So after a lot of back and forth, we decided 1 person could pay for the meal and then we can cashapp each other. Fine. But then, we just couldn't get over the "no standing" rule. Are we in kindergarten??? I don't understand that rule at all!!! We went to another Cajun seafood place down the road and loved it! This place missed out on $700 tonight and more of that in the future!

I’ve been coming here for years and my most recent visit this week was amazing! The staff was super attentive and accommodating. Our food was quick and super hot ! We had the shrimp and potatoes, everything was delicious and as always, super flavorful. I also tried the wings for the first time and they were crispy and crunchy. It’s a good standard place for when you want Cajun without the crazy crazy wait times of other places!

It's not my first time to this place but this is my last time , story start with ordering and got short corn and the server with running got dry corn in plastic bag then. I did ask for why the sauce too law in the bag & its very obvious , he talked to his supervisor and come back telling us that all bags comes with same amount, you can order scuse if you need more & left us back to his supervisor making fun of us , I spoke to them specially to the supervisor that he didn't even try to apologize , end of story not coming back ,, bad service and bad food If I got response I will add my receipt ticket and pics of the dry corn funny

Staff is always nice even when they have a full house. I will be back with my relatives. It has a cool atmosphere. Kinda of like a restaurant in Los Angeles I liked to visit.

The girls loved it. Shrimp 🍤🦐,corn 🌽 fries and hot sauce hot 🔥. Waited for five minutes for a table for four. Well worth the wait and price.

Spacious branch with plenty of seats, although at present outdoor seating is not available. It can get quite busy during the evening with an approximate waiting time of 30-40 minutes for walk-ins. Staff is attentive and will check on you several times throughout your meal.

Crumpet and Sarava regularly have me pick up crab legs, shrimp, corn on the cob, and potatoes with mild or hot sauce from this place. I'm not much of a seafood guy but they are addicted to this place so if you like seafood with Cajun flavor, this spot should be in your rotation...

It’s a great place, although very busy. I understand they have a few new staff but some of them need to get a little more experience. Just that the waiter we had seemed very lost and forgetful. Other than that, wonderful food.

Horrible!! Nowhere comfortable to sit nowhere!!!! They give you your food in a plastic bag, everything thrown in a bag, no plates, and tasteless the grilled shrimp had no taste at all. I DO NOT nor would I ever recommend this dump!

This was our first time at this location but we've been to 4 other Kickin' Crab locations (Westminster, Costa Mesa, Irvine, Santa Ana). The mall it is located in seems to be a very sad and dying mall, so I hope it gets revitalized in the near future. The food was on point and consistent with the other Kickin' Crab locations. We appreciated that this location opened at noon today. I learned the Costa Mesa location was permanently closed and the next closest location to me didn't open until 3pm before I found this Buena Park location. We were on our way back to Orange County after a weekend trip to Universal Studios so we had the opportunity to detour and stop by the Buena Park location for lunch. Food is always great and the service was fantastic. The servers all seem to work together and were on point with checking on us and helping us out (multiple people took care of us and we didn't just have to wait for our one server here and get ignored or brushed off by other servers). We did the 3 pound combo (Kickin' style mild) along with an order of garlic noodles. It was delicious and we couldn't finish it all. All I have to say is bring a location to South San Diego! I'm down there often and I'm bummed that I can't bring people to a Kickin' Crab down there. There's a Boiling Crab in Mira Mesa but it's not the same, but that's the next best option down there. I've tried other Cajun seafood places down in San Diego and even the highest rated one in the Chula Vista area according to Yelp was disgusting to me (their everything spice mix was unpalatable in my opinion).

Ordered 1 pound of shrimp and the sauce was runny like water. We've been here several times and the sauce is thick and tasty, so I asked the server if this was normal. The server said yes with a smirk on his face and looking like he wanted to laugh at me. I was like really its so loose. The server offered to being extra sauce but i would get charged for it so i declined. We had ordered garlic noodles as a starter with an extra side of that sauce and it was not like that at all. We closed our check and left. So disappointing and gross.

My mom and dad love eating here so I decided to bring them some takeout and it was just as amazing as eating it at the restaurant. Any time I have been here the staff is on top of everything and is very friendly. Also I’m very picky about my shrimp and the shrimp here is AMAZING, definitely worth it

Really bad service when it comes to a big party. We were a party of 17 and because of that they kept skipping us for 2 hours and they weren’t able to seat us any sooner. By this time it was 9pm closing time. After being seated they pretty much only gave us an hour to eat and asked if we needed any boxes. They also didn’t allow us to order any more food after our first order! Definitely don’t go here if you’re a big party looking to dine in and you’re expecting good seating service.

I can't eat as much as I used to but I ate as much as I can! Colossal shrimp and crawfish and mussels swimming in juices that'll make you salivate from the mouth! Spiciest sauce on the side is a game changer!

Tucked away in the Buena Park Mall, Kickin' Crab is a staple! Good food at good prices and service is great too! This particular location is pretty big so wait times shouldn't be too bad. Service is super fast. What I like about this location is that they have some sinks outside the restroom so you can quickly wash your hands after pigging out.

I love coming to this location as they prove to be consistent with their service and quality of food. Coming with two other friends is ideal so we can order half the menu! Today we opted for combo #1 with 2 pounds of shrimp, 1 pound of clam, and the combo comes with corn, sausage, and potatoes. The Cajun fries and garlic noodles are also a must. Viana was so sweet and prompt with anything we needed, so if you have the pleasure of dining with her, you’re in luck!

Probably the best fish n chips I have ever had. The breading was nice and light with a perfect crunch. We also got the house salad and a cup of chowder. The salad looked like it was over dressed but it wasn't!! It was perfect! The chowder had good amount of clams in it and would order this meal again. *glad we split the three items for lunch. So much food. Well worth the price

As always the food was good. However 5 piece fried fish was undersized more like oversized fish nuggets. I wouldn't buy it again.

I really liked it! The food was delicious, my first time there the staff helped me understand how and what to order. You will be eating with your hands, they steam your food with the sauce of your choice in a plastic bag, and then that bag is placed on your table for you to enjoy, I enjoyed the shrimp, the sausage, the corn, the mussels, and the crawdads. I also learned how to eat a crawdad here, so that was another big plus!

This is one of my family's favorite spots for shrimp. We typically order "spicy" cajun style sauce. The cajun style fries are also a good side dish but personally I prefer the sweet potato fries. Outdoor seating is also available but be prepared to wait a bit especially on weekends.

Love shrimp. Would recommend if you are a fan. Usually get the kickin style mild with added sausages. :)

I'm not a local, and where I'm from seafood is a big deal, this is one of the best seafood restaurants I've ever been. Their prices are very reasonable considering the dish. The service is great, and inside is very modern.

Taste is Good then servers are very Kind and Friendly. So so many customers are there. The portion is also Big. However, I have one complaint. Because I can't see LA Dodgers' Game!!!! Then we can see Angels' game. I know it locates in OC. There are soooo many Dodgers' Funs even OC. I don't want to watch Astros' Game when Dodgers is playing.

If I could give 3.5, I would. As it is, everyone else gives it 5 stars so it’ll be fine. The place has good atmosphere, the staff are friendly, if a bit unorganized. It feels like they paid a ton of people to always be on hand for whatever. We were done with our meal but they accidentally brought wings to our table (boy were they confused when I told them), they came by refilling drinks after we told others we were good and about to leave. I’d rather have fewer but better-paid staff so they can live on their wages. The “appetizers” are basically full meals but they are all fried so it doesn’t qualify as a meal. The market price of the crab was draw dropping ($40 a pound!?!?) but they have other stuff that is hopefully less expensive. The appetizers were cheap, and the few real meals they had were on par for an Olive Garden/Red Lobster. The appetizers came with a ton of fries, probably more than I could eat in three separate meals. Had we known that, we could have shared one and still had plenty left over. The menu has few or no pictures. The alcohol selection is okay. The restaurant in general seems to be more for take out but plenty of diners were here at lunch on a Saturday. The seafood and menu selection in general is pretty subpar. I’m not sure why others report otherwise but you can only order a total of like 10-12 things.

Good place for the entire family! We typically get 2lbs of mild shabang shrimp for the fam, fish and chips (since it also has cajun fries that we all share), and corn & rice. They also have one of my favorite go-to IPAs always in stock, the Elysian Space Dust IPA! They also have multiple TVs with sports but can get busy at times.

You guys need more lines open! It’s always busy!!!!

I ate with my friends here and enjoyed our meal. Staff did great and was very helpful. It was dinner time when we came and was halfway filled. Our order came within 20 minutes so we were happy. The only downside that day was the TVs weren't working and we had to turn our heads to watch lakers highlights. Overall a good experience. 4 stars
