Beautiful garden in the city. Free admission. Generally quiet and easy to navigate. Multiple dirt (non paved) trails. Lots of shaded areas and benches to sit. A collection of statues are placed throughout the park. Easy access via public transport. Additional garden areas are nearby.

Beautiful spot for a walk. If you’re in the neighbourhood it’s worth grabbing a coffee and following all the meandering paths through the garden.

Larger than what it seems from the map. They are different regions for different parts of the world with plants typical for the area. Thanks to the trees a lot of the park is in shade and thus nice for walking around even in the heat.

This botanical garden is maintained very carefully, not only the many plants and trees but also the historic architecture, including beautiful fountains and sculptures. Love it! Currently, there is an exhibition called secret garden at night's until July 31st, which I highly recommend!

There are lots of statues, and the paths are well laid out. It's not huge, but a pleasant spot to be in nature in the middle of a giant city. The park is also dotted with beautiful old-school sculptures that provide excellent photo opportunities. Lots of benches to sit and enjoy the area. The glasshouse has some wonderful bromeliads. Overall, it's great!

Amazing specimens from all over the world. Different areas of the park are separated into areas of the world. Good signage on the plant names too! I wish the greenhouses were open, but they were all closed.

Muy hermoso, tranquillo, y bonito. Fabulous garden with much to view, many benches to sit, and an all around nice place to relax and spend some time. Luckily it was not too affected by the recent wind storm that ravaged the city so many of the trees remained intact. Beautiful butterflies, flowers, and trees throughout.

Lovely garden in the city, open free to everyone. Full of paths and benches for wandering around and/or contemplating nature, and the many sculptures that decorate the park. Highly recommended. Go with time and relaxed. If you like taking photos, that's the right place.

Some great specimens and if you manage to get a free tour that alone deserves 5 star. However the garden is surrounded by very busy roads so not exactly a place conducive to quiet reflection. It's nonetheless interesting historically to see how Thays planned it taking inspiration from a variety of approaches. Indigenous plants at the back but the whole place would benefit from better signage and some of the facilities were closed when I visited

If you're looking for a peaceful escape in the midst of nature, this is the perfect spot. However, be mindful of your footwear choice. The red dirt can be a challenge to clean off of sandals or white shoes. Other than that, it's a great place to unwind and recharge.

Nice park and beautiful gardens. Free to go into and walk around. Highly recommend if you're in the area. Lots of walking trails as well. Only one entrance and exit, so don't be fooled by the map thinking there's multiple exits!!

A little oasis of nature in the center of the city. It is rather unusual tu be surrounded by nature and see the skyscrapers poke from behind the trees. There is a lot of varied vegetation (but little explanation of what you are seeing) and animals that roam free (the very chill capybaras) or are confined to their special areas (turtles, flamingoes, llamas and so on). It is a wonderful place where to take a leisurely stroll whenever you feel like (the entrance is completely free) and you can find cafes and small restaurants within the park (I haven't tried any) as well as educational activities for children.

Beautiful peaceful place to walk or sit under the shade of trees. You can observe butterflies, water lilies, bees and nature

The garden had very nice lights and views. There were also a few little shows to watch with technical effects. It was a nice family experience! I just wish it was more interactive. Not much more to do than just look and take pictures.

Alte Anlage mit altem Pflanzenbestand, wochentags leider viele Bereiche verschlossen. Relativ wenige farbig blühende Pflanzen

Not so far away from the city centre, this park is just the perfect place to go for a walk, read a book or just enjoy the green if you happen to be nearby.

Very nice gardens, not massive so doesn't take too long to walk around and see it all. Sadly the greenhouse buildings weren't open when we visited.

Beautiful public garden. A lot of big old trees, thats what you want to see in a park

Beautiful and free botanic garden! One of the best budget activities in Buenos Aires. My only complaint is that both times I visited, I was told that the only bathroom on the property was closed off for only school children to use. This was fine for me, but I know that many others have stomach issues that make this really difficult. As such, I highly recommend sorting out other bathroom plans as it’s possible to spend quite a few hours here. This could also be different on the weekends as there might be less school trips, but I wish the facility would build additional bathrooms for all visitors!

One of the best spots in the city for me. So peaceful and so green

The garden looks wonderful but we could only see it through the gate since it was closed on Good Friday. Also we were disapointed to see that there is only one gate to get in.

Very peaceful botanical garden to wander around or find a quiet bench in the shade to while away an hour or two. Lots of statues and water features. Extremely pleasant.

As a person who had a Dendrology education, it was so enjoyable to see that much species in one garden. There are many varieties from all around the world. And all these different trees and plants are brought together beautifully here. Even the weather feels different in this area. It is easy to spend 2-3 hours in this park. Not a must see but it is good to spend some time here if you are staying more than a week in Buenos Aires.

Enjoyed our recent visit to the Jardín Botánico. It’s a beautiful spot - perfect for a morning walk or quiet place to read. I was sad that the butterfly house and other buildings were only open on weekends but I suppose it gives us a reason to return. My only other complaint is that the exits aren’t clearly marked. It’s a huge garden and there are two exits supposedly yet we couldn’t find signs for one of them anywhere and ultimately had to walk back to the entrance to leave. Regardless, this place is definitely worth a visit!

I have been visiting the gardens for over 15 years and have observed the steady progress that has been made to finish areas of the gardens that needed to be reworked. It's now complete and even more spectacular. It's an opportunity to return to nature in the middle of the city. Combined with its neighbor, the Eco Park, It's offers a 100% break from the daily grind. Go, you will be instantly engulfed in green serenity.

Jardín Botánico Carlos Thays, is one of the most beautiful parks in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It’s a whole park with a lot of nature where you can read a book and relax. There you can share with all you family and be in a good environment. Here you don’t see anyone drinking alcohol or doing bad stuff. Also, you can bring your dog and give him a walk. Personally this parks it’s highly recommended, and it’s very beautiful with sculptures include and it has a butterfly garden inside the park. It’s a peaceful place

The gardens are a decent size, not too big to wonder around in a reasonable length of time. Sadly this is not the best botanical gardens we've seen by any means, it's nice and pleasant but overall we were quite disappointed. There are some nice areas of the grounds but the vast majority is just green plants, trees or scrubs. It may be due to the time of year we visited but there was very little colour around with the exception of a few small sections. It's surrounded closely by roads so no matter where you sit there is noise from the activity of those streets. I did like this place but it's nothing special unfortunately, nice enough for a visit and wonder around for an hour or so. If you bring a picnic make sure to stay off the grass and to the benches and paths. Enjoy!

Our botanic garden is one of my favorite escapes within the city. I love checking the different types of plants weekly and follow their different states. Social distancing is respected and sitting down surrounded by only trees and plants is the best plan. You can find several types of trees, plants, cactus and even join workshops if that's something that interests you. Guided tours are offered too. For tourists, save an afternoon to visit this garden, then the Ecoparque across the street, the Rosedal next and finally the Planetario. They are all in the same area.

A beautiful garden where you can walk on many slightly gravel trails. Beautifully laid out with many benches where you can sit in the sun or shade. Beautiful flowers, trees, and butterfly garden. Very quiet and peaceful. Convenient bathrooms too. A nice way to spend a morning or afternoon to relax.

The garden is perfectly splendid, but what I really enjoyed the most today, was the company ☺️
