I’ve been looking forward to this place being open ever since they put the sign up! So happy to have restaurants like this open in Crystal Lake 😁 they have different sections in the restaurant, the rotary sushi is in a certain area so if you’re coming for that make sure to tell the person seating you! We picked a couple of things from the rotary sushi belt as well as ordered from the main menu. The sushi from the belt was INCREDIBLY fresh, Im not always a huge fan of nigiri but they do it soooo right. The fish was so soft and sweet it was just great, next time I come I will be doing the all-you-can-eat and going to town on those little plates

Great to have unlimited Sushi which was prepared beautifully, tasted great and served with care. Price point you can't argue with considering Poke Bowls are included as well as killer Crab Rangoons! Def recommended!

Kirin King’s sushi is excellent. I’m a big sushi fan and they did not disappoint. They have all the best parts of a sushi restaurant in one: All you can eat, High quality, great service, and even a revolving sushi bar / conveyer belt! Will be coming back and highly recommend!

Enjoyed the soft opening for Kirin King in Crystal Lake last night. The food was very tasty & very generous portions. They are working hard to get into the groove, but overall, the visit was very nice.

This is a run of the mill sushi place with a rotary bar. It’s a decent place and you can tell they’re trying to fix the kinks. My wife and I came here and we had a good time and our server was great.

This place is absolutely amazing!!! We're here currently and loved our dinner!! From the lighting to the music, the art and hanging decor were absolutely splendid! I now have a new go-to spot for my sushi and Tonkotsu Ramen needs! I got the Tonkatsu Tonkotsu Ramen and my partner got the all you can eat sushi along with crab rangoon and egg rolls. The server and host were kind and polite, and made sure our every need was met. 10/10 we will absolutely be coming again. So glad this place opened up!

Very nice surprise for Mchenry county. They are still not fully set up with their decor, but the food is excellent. I tried the AYCE sushi, which included everything on their sushi/maki/nigiri menu as well as appetizers. The conveyer belt is always a nice way to try new things and ordered nigiri staples off the menu. we were the only ones in on a monday night but they were adding new inventory to the belt regularly. The star was their seared salmon nigiri with miso mayo! My husband opted for their chinese menu and had sweet and sour chicken. It was elegantly plated and a perfect single portion with just a bit leftover. Also a pleasant surprise was their tea selection! Their long jing (dragonwell) was perfectly brewed and not scorched at all. Very sweet and pleasant. So happy they have moved into crystal lake! Plan to visit often, and it seems to be owned and waited on by a family at present.

Sushi on point. Service kinda slow missed a lot of the order. We will come back again, giving the service part another try. We know it’s new and good servers are hard to find.

The rotary shushi bar area is so fun and the quality was outstanding! We would definitely recommend this restaurant. We are coming back for sure!

We went here to do the rotary sushi...food was great. They had a separate menu for sushi items to order if you didn't see it on the conveyor. Those menu items were phenomenal. We can't wait to come back and try the other side of the restaurant that serves Asian cuisine

Amazing, delectable, cravable flavors. Extremely kind waitstaff. I tried this place the 1st week they opened and have revisited a 2nd and 3rd time. Every time I leave, I'm already planning what to try on the next visit. For those that may judge a book by the cover, the building is the old Porters steakhouse, which was oddly segmented into three different units. It seems Kirin might still be figuring out how to setup shop with this quirky layout but don't let this deter you from trying their food. Yum!

The sushi is out of this world! Huge selection! And the all you can eat deal is incredible with 2 pages of food to choose from. And the photo I posted was only ONE tray that we had. I didn't think to take a picture of the other that was even bigger, AND we had appetizers! It was soooo good!! It's my NEW sushi spot! Very reasonable considering what you're offered.

Second time in 1 week here for the all you can eat Sushi. A new favorite. Enjoy the variety of the menu and the time for presentation. 1st time was slower service that the second, but both times worth the wait.

This place does not disappoint! This is our second time here and the sushi is excellent and we love it is all you can eat, which includes the whole menu! You can’t beat the pricing! The service is some of the best we’ve received! This is our go to sushi place for sure!

Very good service. All you can eat menu includes everything on the menu which is nice. Nigiri was ok. Spicy tuna rolls were not great. Asked for much spicer and it seems they just added more mayo which wasnt spicy at all. Wasabi was frankly very odd/bad tasting. Resorted to using the packets of wasabi on the table which was fine. Rotary wasnt working when I went in. Not a bad experience, just very mediocre. Service was EXCELLENT!
