So happy to have found this dental practice! While in the process of getting another quote for an implant, Dr Sam discovered an infection in another tooth that was overlooked by my oral surgeon. I ended up getting a five tooth bridge that I love! I am so happy with Dr Sam's expertise and advice and his work was top-notch! Highly recommend.

I’ve had the best experience I could ever have at a dentist. Dr James was wonderful at taking the time to explain everything he was Going to do, answered all questions. The procedure was even better because I knew what to expect. Also it seemed to go seamlessly well. Thank you Dr James and staff Update/ posted picture collage of the great job Dr James has done. I needed a tooth extraction and reached out to Long Grove Dental after seeing so many good reviews. True to the reviews, they are great! Dr.James was very patient in answering all my questions and explained all the options after the extraction. Personally, I felt the extraction process was very quick and painless. Dr.James and Agata were really supportive and made me comfortable during the extraction. I'm continuing the implant procedure with the team.

This was my first time going to Dr Sam Akmakjian and he has been the best! I went in because I got a bad filling from someone else. But I needed a root canal and was dreading it… But The team at Long Grove Dental made it quick and painless!! He has been the best dentist I have ever been to.

Dr. Sam and more recently Dr. James have been caring for my teeth for 20 years. I have had many crowns and an implant. With all my fear, I have never felt pain or discomfort. They are also concerned with overall health. My smile is beautiful and the doctors are personable.

Dr. James is the best, he saved me from a mouthful of root canals. Came here for a second opinion and I’m so glad that I did, it saved me a lot of time, money and pain down the road. I had 8 crowns put in and dr James masterfully drilled and prepped the necessary teeth before installing some very nice crowns. My last dentist wasn’t the best so I was nervous about getting dental work done. But after coming here, my opinion on going to the dentist has completely changed. I had more extensive work done here than I had done at my last dentist and it was a pain free experience for me. Obviously after getting crowns your mouth will be sore but during the drilling/prep work I was very numb and comfortable. Dr James and the rest of the team at Long Grove Dental are extremely professional and very nice. Without a doubt the best dental work I’ve ever had done and for as long as I’m living in the Chicagoland area and they are open, this will be my dentist.

I’ve always had quite the fear of going to the dentist, but this place definitely turned that around. I came into Long Grove Dental for a filling. The procedure didn’t hurt a bit, and was also really quick. Everyone here was really friendly and welcoming. Dr. James truly is very skilled, and asked me whether I was feeling discomfort throughout the process. Definitely recommend :)

I am a new patient at this practice, and all I can say is I am so thankful that I found Long Grove Dental. The office staff is friendly and welcoming. My experience having four teeth worked on during my appointment was very professional and dare I say, halfway fun! Dr. James explained his treatment plan and kept reassuring me every step of the way. Agata was a perfect assistant to him and was just as professional. They were both kind and very gentle. Their friendly and fun banter kept me perfectly distracted, the music was an added bonus. The overall environment in the office feels very pleasant. So glad to be a patient here.

I was scared at first because all my friends told me wire tightening hurts & braces etc. 🙄 and it actually ended up not being painful at all! i recommend just not stressing out because at the end of the day it’s just braces! good luck! staff was very nice too

Long Grove Dental is just wonderful. I have always hated going to the dentist, but this place was so kind and understanding. Dr James Akmakjian was constantly asking if I was in any pain or discomfort while getting my crowns. Agata was making jokes and playing music to help distract me from the drilling sounds. So happy I found this place. I highly recommend this practice!
